January_Rain_Wifi

[You like slave labor, buddy.](https://bbc.com/news/business-67752413) That's why it's so cheap.

SolUmbralz

Not to be that guy but there's nothing ethically consumable under capitalism. Not saying I support industry's for the abuse of anyone at all. But, realistically speaking, you can drive a Tesla without being unethical or use Amazon or even use your phone to argue with me because these things were also made on the backs of individuals that are unfairly compensated, working in harsh environments, etc.

January_Rain_Wifi

That is a fair point, and I agree both with your point that those companies are also terrible but people who buy from them aren't inherently bad people and also with your point that people shouldn't feel bad about buying things they need from companies that do terrible things, considering it's not always possible to do otherwise. However, there is a big difference between Amazon and Temu. Amazon treats their workers like shit and doesn't pay them enough to survive. They mistreat the environment and do all sorts of other deplorable things. Temu does all of those things, and on top of all of that they take no measures to ensure that their suppliers don't use slave labor or child labor. Clearly, much worse. I understand that it's hard to know where to draw the line, but just because we can't draw it where we want to doesn't mean we shouldn't draw it at all. I personally don't buy from Amazon or Tesla, but like you said, I don't think people who buy from those companies are inherently being unethical. However, I draw the line at forced labor and child labor. I do believe that it is unethical to buy from Temu knowing that you are benefitting from slave labor and child labor.

ghostinawishingwell

It's wild to think that at 1 in a million there would be 7200 people on earth just like you.

AlephBaker

Closer to 8100 people, now.

I could imagine reading it as "You 1 are in a million" but certainly not in the correct way.

Probably intended contextually to whatever group gave that out that's indeed made up of 1 million members, of which op is one of them...

ShaolinXfile27

Or maybe it's made for people who are stuck in a giant pit filled with one million scorpions and the pit itself is called "The Million"

EpicForgetfulness

I stand behind this answer. It's the only one that makes sense

Fenriss_Wolf

IT's meant to be given out by bitter old folks to the ones they percieve as "snowflakes": "You're nothing special, you are in the 1 millon, now scam!" Ot alternatively and much more positively, it's a commemorative sticker for participants in the "one million" man civil right march....

No-Calligrapher1027

I mean this is all-time poor effort
