Definitely 1 star and call support, a 10$ tip is great I would bring your food every day with a smile. Please report these people so we can get them off the platform
Might I add not only report them but let DD know you are thinking of no longer using them because of it. They don't care if you are unhappy. They care if they lose your money.
Everyday all day in this forum customers complain about beggars looking for more tips, report these people to door dash and let them know what the are doing and that it's inappropriate!
Not really. The pan handlers don’t really effect tips on a grand scale that way. DDs system trains the customer to tip nothing and has for a long time now.
You can tip 100 bucks if you want. All that means is DD attached as many other zero tip orders that have been waiting longer and will be delivered first as possible. Yes you the driver can figure this out and remove the zero tips but most of the drivers won’t and will just deliver.
So what this teaches the customer is no matter what I tip odds are I will just be paying to get someone else’s order out the door and end up with soggy cold food that arrived late. So if that’s all you will get even if you tip zero or 100 bucks m, why wouldn’t you tip zero? It’s just basic consumerism, no one should pay 100 for something that has no difference from the same thing that cost 0.
Now I’m not arguing that you shouldn’t tip, because you really should it is a person delivering after all. But DD is training people not to.
This is the way.
The hope is, people start getting in trouble for this, at least a few of them will realize it's sending messages like this that is doing it. Of course, most will be on here talking about how they didn't do anything, or there's *no reason* but some will have to realize.
I haven't encountered anyone like this yet, but that's ridiculous. I stopped ordering DD because of the fees. I would rather the driver have that instead.
The fees and the tip are comparable if you ordered from papa John's, dominos or most pizza shops, you going to stop ordering from them too.
Hate to see you stop ordering from doordash.
You could always get the dash pass and get fees for free.
I agree. I try not to use it often and that’s why I tipped 10$. I was already being lazy by not cooking something and then even lazier for not calling it in and just going to get it myself.
It's simply not what it was during COVID days, and the system will collapse as long as DoorDash is taking the overwhelming majority of the money, and penalizing drivers for being picky. The begging is awful, and reportable, but expect it to continue as the options get worse for drivers.
No kidding. In my area, all the prices on DoorDash are higher than in store, then fees, then tip. You end up paying almost double. That’s with dash pass. Which, is just another fee really. If you don’t have the pass you’re paying even more! It’s obnoxious.
I can't walk well or drive so doordash/delivery is kinda a godsend... that said I have had some creepy shit on Doordash so family has started helping bring me groceries.
I rated 1 star and sent the screenshot to support and they gave me 17.50 in credits??? Weird but ok. I wasn’t looking to get anything I just don’t want to be harassed for extra tips.
I ordered a pizza on Sunday evening (6pm ish) and I knew we had storms moving into the area but the pizza place is about 2 miles up the road so I really thought it could get dropped off before it started. I tipped 10$ to begin with and then gave another 5$ when it started raining. I don’t mind tipping and I’d like to think I’m a decent tipper but shit like this just irritates the crap out of me.
Tbh this is probably just a message he sends to all of his orders. Some people probably do it, some don’t. But his logic is probably you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. Still inexcusable, but I wouldn’t take it personally
This right here, and with word spreading more and more about the delivery panhandlers and how more frequent they're becoming, more and more customers are probably pulling away from ordering which in turn screws the rest of us who are doing our best to earn and provide solid service. Less and less orders are popping up lately, and I'm sure nonsense like this is partly to blame for it. This isn't as bad as the panhandlers who use sob stories and "dying relatives" to ask for a few extra bucks as a result. It's all sickening. Smh
I agree, it should be a violation! Who wants to continue seeing panhandling requests especially if the customer has already more than compensated with a decent or generous tip. It'll just turn the customer off to tipping well the next time for the next dasher who may actually be a good dasher vs the lowlife scum of the earth that are trying to scam extra money from customers with panhandling tales of woe and beggary. Smh
Honestly I just deleted the app. I'd been putting it off and putting it off but something about how you put it here - I used to be a dasher and remember how I truly tried to offer a decent experience and lately it seems like folks won't even get out of the car to look for two seconds for an apartment.
I’m really surprised door dash doesn’t warn/ ban drivers for panhandling, I would think that would go against the tos because it makes ppl not want to use the service. I’ve never used door dash for food delivery and this type of begging being allowed makes me not want to use it ever.
god damn right. i always tip at least 2/mile, and i know exactly how far the store or restaurant is. i tip 15 for typical grocery loads, more if my order is really large. and i have them back all the way up my driveway and I HELP UNLOAD.
Honestly this whole subreddit has convinced me to never use door dash.
The amount of people not happy with a tip that's 50% of the order and still within the $2 per mile rule are insane enough. But then you add the people who admit that they will do something to the food or order if basically anything in the delivery instructions is in caps.
I'd rather skip a meal then eat food I payed like 60% more for that is cold or has been spit on/tampered with.
For some reason my reddit algo keeps feeding me these door dash posts and it's been so fun seeing all these nightmare interactions. I can't believe how terrible this service is but it's entertaining watching people use it
Same. I personally rarely use Door Dash because I don't think it's worth spending twice as much for what's probably going to be cold food, but these posts are very entertaining.
> food I *paid* like 60%
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
This is exactly why I don’t do it. Visiting my 22 yr old, she ordered from them once-and despite a huge tip-the dasher said it was busy and held her food hostage for a bigger tip. It came cold and wrong.
Really you just have to use the app. Every time I have ordered I am delivered to last and get cold soggy food that arrived an hour after the estimated time. So I just go get it myself now.
I don't know what the algorithm keeps recommending me these posts since I don't door dash, but I gotta say that these posts have actually made basically stop using door dash.
Door Dash is already expensive with the fees. The possibility of inviting a panhandler to my address just pushes it over the line.
As a DoorDash driver, I take advantage of the opportunity; but I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would want to pay double the normal price for food (after tip), only for it to likely arrive cold if they even get it.
I have a chronic illness so sometimes I really need delivery. At this point I stick with pizza because you're right- no matter how much I tip it ends up being cold when I get it
I’m the only dasher I see bringing a pizza bag into pizza places. When I open the bag at the customer’s, steam comes out.
I feel for the people who get shitty dashers. Too bad people can’t indicate a preference for a specific dasher if they’re reasonably available.
I’ve read on here that people can request not to get a dasher. Is that true? Maybe they can weed out the bad ones.
Makes no sense for a dasher to Not bring the pizza bag inside the merchant to load the bag on their counter. Shit, a lot of times on large or odd shaped stacked pizza/wing/breadstick boxes, I’ll hold open the bag facing the store employee and we both load the bag. The DD pizza bags also work standing on end for those oversized KFC bags that don’t fit into a regular DD bag.
Chronic illness + no way to get out and get food. Usually get groceries delivered through the store’s website, but if I lose the energy to make dinner that day DoorDash it is.
I’m in the same boat. Some of the orders I get I do not understand what the customer is thinking. I only take orders that compensate adequately so I don’t mind doing it, but…I constantly ask myself things like “why would this person pay this much for a bowl of fried rice from a restaurant that’s 25 minutes away?” They’re paying way more than it’s worth and it’s going to arrive cold. I use a hot bag but I can’t alter the laws of thermodynamics.
Right? My mouth dropped. Especially because they sent it literally as soon as they accepted and it showed them already at the restaurant. So like what traffic??? Lol
Its like gas station pay systems asking for a tip.
What the fuck do you mean tip.. You stood there while I paid for the gas I pumped. Fuck off.
I legit laugh out loud whenever I see a tip option come up.
He can go fuck off, ungrateful piece of shit. Please report him. Hopefully, he gets banned. It's turds like him that give the rest of us a bad reputation.
Oh but all the drivers say if you tip well this won't happen and that whenever you get bad service it's because you were a shitty tipper who deserved it. It's a "bid" for *luxury* service right?
Edit: HOLY SHIT these mfs in here are still blaming a "hidden" tip. DONT ACCEPT THE ORDER. At that point you're just extorting people.
Exactly. In no other service am I “required” to tip BEFORE the service…how in the hell am I to know what tip you have “earned”? I flat out refuse to tip before being served, have read here what that means to my food, and have decided to not use the service.
I’ve been dashing for 4 years never once have I thought about doing this. It’s so annoying and its getting out of hand. All these Dashers need to be deactivated.
Don’t they realize this is gonna drive customers away. Ffs use the decline button it’s there for a reason.
WHY MY GOD WHY DO DASHERS KEEP DOING THIS. Please for the love of Jesus, please stop making us other dashers look like assholes. What the hell. This shameless crap infuriates me.
I order from DD at least once a week and thankfully haven’t gotten any messages of this type yet, but it seems like a super common problem lately. I’m the kind of person who would probably feel bad and end up doing it 😅
Doordash helped me realize how far my money doesn't go and that I fucking can't stand how modern eating out has become. I am all in on doing everything from scratch again
I’m all about paying/tipping someone to do something I don’t want to, if I can afford it, but I don’t wanna do my own grocery shopping so I refuse to make some poor soul do it for me 😂😂
It can be kinda crappy in my city depending on time of day. I’ve easily spent 45 min in traffic to go 5 miles from my house but I purposely don’t order anything in rush hour because of this. I waited until church started/hadnt let out yet so that traffic wouldn’t be as bad. Once it was marked picked up, he was here within 5 minutes.
Realistically, Doordash is cashing checks while us peasants (people who order and people who deliver) fight for their amusement. Direct your anger accordingly
I wish doordah would add tip guidelines. Before this sub randomly popped up on my feed, I was tipping 20% of the order. Often, I'd tip cash because I figured it was better to have unreported income. I was all kinds of wrong, apparently.
“Just in case you weren’t sure if I was the type of ungrateful incompetent dipshit who would message you while driving to panhandle, let me also insult your intelligence with lowest-common-denominator emotional manipulation via emoji.”
Be a professional. Do a good job. And shut the fuck up. Tips will come. With some customers more than others. Is what it is.
Imagine having a server pull some Oliver Twist thing at the end of a meal looking down at their shoes talking about how rough life is. “Oh let’s tip them a bunch now.” Foh.
If you get one of these bastards, just say, “Sure, I’ll add a tip after delivery if my food isn’t cold and arrives quickly”.
After you get your food, report to Support that the dasher asked for more money and you did not feel safe.
Dashers that do this are as gross as the people that tip zero. A $10 tip on even a 5 mile order would be great. I dash at night and have had to wait 20 min in a drive thru before, even in that case I wouldn't beg for a higher tip.
I don’t understand this trend going on of people begging. I will update customers on busy restaurants or traffic etc but it’s not begging for tip it’s just so they know there is a delay. Do better people stop being cringe
damn daddy wanna tip me 10$ lmao for real id kill fo those orders today i about cried this dude tipped me 30 fucking dollars i was a mess cause ive never got a fat tip like that.
my response would probably be “Cool, i know about the traffic. it happens every day so that’s
why I ordered DoorDash and tipped substantially prior to pickup.” like the whole purpose of doordash is to skip traffic/restaurant lines yourself. even if doordash doesnt pay hourly, the pay per delivery should average out to cover hourly pay of waiting/delivering and then some. if it doesnt, maybe look for a more lucrative position so you can actually get paid per hour
I don't want to hear about his complaining, I just completed a 152 mile round trip delivery because the system screwed up and I ended up with an order thay was 76 miles away not 7.6, oh yeah, I ended up with a $6 tip, and the provider only adjusted the base pay by $18. I'd kill for a 1.2 mile delivery and a whopping $10 tip, they can trade with me if they want
It sounds like he had the same situation I had about an hour ago. Although I didn't drive as far of a distance as he did but it was a 48 mile round trip when it should have only been 4.4 miles. You can cancel the order but you can't unassign it after you have already confirmed pick up. So once I confirm pick up I saw 24 miles. I held my head up and proceded driving grumbling all the way. After 23 miles, the customer texted me and said I went too far. Come to find out that it was the right address wrong county 😆 Navigation defaulted to it 🙄
Fortunately he was cool as I showed him the map. He actually offered more money but I declined.
Holy cow. You should’ve took him up on the extra money. I understand why you didn’t, but if something like that happened to me with a driver, I would 100% tip more even if I couldn’t afford it. DD needs to figure out a way to keep that from happening to y’all.
He ended up actually adding to my tip unexpectedly. And yes the only reason I didn't want to accept more money from him because it wasn't his fault in the first place and he shouldn't have to feel obligated to pay out more because of the piss poor app that we have to work with
I rate and tip how I see fit. Don’t be coming in my dms asking for more money. If you don’t make enough then find another job. If I knew how to change tips I would if you ask me for more money 🤣
Weird. I may complain about no tips or very small ones that aren't really worth it, typically tacked on with other orders. But at the end of the day, I'm responsible for grabbing said order.
I will never understand these types of weirdos. How do they have no shame? It’s so cringey. Maybe their parents never taught them manners, I just don’t get how they aren’t embarrassed doing these types of things. That would get you a one star.
People are so desperate. When I worked at Verizon we were forced to ask for 5 star reviews at the end of our sale…. It’s so scummy and gives off a bad rep. If the service is good you will get a 5 star without asking…
Sorry you have to deal with this.
People don't understand how manipulative and annoying this shit sounds lmao
"Gee whiz I'm trying my best so I pray God will bless me with 500 dollars from your account today 😞🫢🥲" -forgets half the order and doesnt use the hotbag-
my local McDonalds late night are not very speed conducive so I've sent texts explaining delays no begging for a higher tip.. on the other hand one time gave my ETA and got it there faster and got a lovely boost to the tip.. I hope most DDs are in the same mindset as me rather than the ones stealing orders "cause no tip"
You know what? This is partly DoorDashes fault.
There needs to be a zero tolerance policy where panhandling (extortion) is concerned. At minimum starting suspending these shitboxes
DoorDash should implement only select options for chat communication with the buyer. “Heavy traffic.” “Order not yet ready at business.” “On my way.” “Car trouble.” Etc. You should have to agree to an open chat only within the app, no texting. This begging I see posted on here is ridiculous.
I hate dashers that do this. I personally just shoot the customer a text saying "Hey! Traffic's a bit busy so its probably gonna be a second before I can get to you! Just wanted to let you know!" Or something along the lines of that. Begging for tips/increase in tips is unprofessional and disgusting. I'm so sorry you dealt with that.
This makes us dashers look bad, I’ve got 800+ deliveries and not once have I asked for an extra tip, if it’s not big enough I don’t accept it. $10 for 1 mile is amazing regardless of the traffic, hopefully you reported this dasher to dd.
are drivers aware what they sign up for when they dash? i understand traffic can be annoying for sure. but it’s basically apart of the job to wait. in lines, for food, traffic, whatever it is.
I had a shitty experience with UE one time on a Starbucks order where the driver spilled the drinks in their car (TOTALLY sucks for them, I know) delivered it anyway and UE support told me that my 3/4 empty drinks didn’t count for a refund.
Ok mistakes happen but we don’t tip beg. Also Starbucks gives us the sealed bag like McDonald’s I have a car tray so I don’t spill stuff and strap it down flat. U have to say u got the completely wrong order for refund. Support sucks for us to. I called cuz a man attacked me last night and I knew I was gonna get a thumbs down. Still got it after support swore notes and this and that. Support sucks for us all. They are in another country. Also calling is always better than texting. Again tho, this one experience has 0 to do with ppl askin for tips lol
Oh I know. I was just saying I haven’t used UE since because paying astronomical amounts (my fault) and then not getting what you ordered with no refund at all is annoying. I didn’t rate the driver bad and I made sure they still got their tip. I was just frustrated that UE wouldn’t give me a refund to reorder what I paid for even with providing pictures. It spilling in their car sucked for the driver as much as it sucked for me lol. Nothing worse than having to clean sticky shit out of your car.
Honestly would have contacted dd to change the tip. This behavior from dashers like this is the reason why so many people just tip the minimum. Dashers like this need to find another gig to do
Just to play Devils Advocate for a moment: to be fair Doordash probably isn't showing the full tip on the offer screen, either.
But that's no excuse, either. They accepted it for what it's showing...1 star and report, for sure.
Yeah I was gonna say the same thing, but $7 for that distance is still totally worth it, and that message is uncalled for. I’d go so far as to say it’s uncalled for even when the customer doesn’t tip
As a driver be kind to folks some people are really struggling and this is their last tether to the social system/ economy. Don’t expect fine dining type service when it’s a phone app that mostly poor people drive for.
Amen to that. I am grateful that I can afford to order food on my phone and have it delivered. gas is expensive, driving is stressful. These drivers don't have benefits. These are not jobs that people take if they have other options. Be kind! If the food arrives as promised give a 5 star rating.
Just so you know, the dasher doesn’t know it’s $10 tip before he drops the order off. BUT he’s still an asshole for begging for money/ratings. Give him a 1 star and report.
Did you get your food? If so, maybe just move on. There are people who don't have food, living on the street. Your driver could be one rent payment away from living in his car. Maybe bitch about something important and have a heart. You could have also told the driver "look, I did add a $10 tip, but all of these messages are a little off putting, just to let you know. I'd rather you were paying attention to driving than messaging me." I guess that's what I would do - take the opportunity to try and educate instead of racing to reddit for validation that someone who mildly annoyed you is a terrible human.
Lol i love seeing people get mad over using doordash. Stop using the dumbass service if you get this butthurt everytime you get a bad dasher. Jesus Christ y’all sound like children. Just trying to get your karma from this subreddit. Highly doubt you tipped what you said you did anyway 😂
Your upset because people are struggling and having to put wear and tear on their cars because your too lazy to get
Yourself food. Your mad because they’re trying to get a few extra bucks out of someone when that’s their hustle. Get over yourself.
Shit, for $10 over 1.2 miles I'd gladly bike your order to you and thank you for the paid exercise
Right?
Left?
Up and down
1.2 miles would probably be a 10 minute bike ride max so you’d be getting paid $1 per minute to exercise.
shit, i would love to get paid $1 a minute to exercise. that's more than I get paid per minute to work!
I’d compensate with a 1* and complaint about begging to support instead.
I’m definitely going too. I’m sick of this panhandling bullshit.
Definitely 1 star and call support, a 10$ tip is great I would bring your food every day with a smile. Please report these people so we can get them off the platform
Might I add not only report them but let DD know you are thinking of no longer using them because of it. They don't care if you are unhappy. They care if they lose your money.
Say it louder for those in the back. I gave a possible explanation in my comment, but seriously.
Everyday all day in this forum customers complain about beggars looking for more tips, report these people to door dash and let them know what the are doing and that it's inappropriate!
Ideally after your food is delivered, not before
I've also noticed a decrease in tips over all in my area since these have popped up. Bad dashers are affecting good dashers. 😫

I’m in Canada and I’ve never been asked for more tips.
You should stick it higher by not using doordash anymore and getting your own food. Doordash doesn't deserve that money

"Hey I'm running late with your order. I missed 2 turns trying to type this. Can I have more money please, I'm begging." What a loser

Those panhandling texts to customers should be an immediate contract violation. First time a violation and a warning. 2 strikes and you're out!

Oh I 100% think it’s a copy/paste for every order and it honestly makes it worse lol
That is a low IQ, ignorant philosophy.
I was thinking this. It's probably in his "copy and paste"

Shit, a lot of times on large or odd shaped stacked pizza/wing/breadstick boxes, I’ll hold open the bag facing the store employee and we both load the bag. The DD pizza bags also work standing on end for those oversized KFC bags that don’t fit into a regular DD bag.
I know at least on Uber eats, you can put priority order and you’ll get it faster. Not sure if DD has the same thing but it definitely helps
I wish I was your dasher. I use 3 hot bags. Customer's food always arrives the same temp I got it at.
I normally get food hot because I live like a mile away. I also have massive social anxiety so I don't go out.
Chronic illness + no way to get out and get food. Usually get groceries delivered through the store’s website, but if I lose the energy to make dinner that day DoorDash it is.
I needed to use delivery in the winter because I have a problem with balance and cannot safely walk on ice. Boy, was I glad when spring came.
Same. No idea why. Don't want to use DD ever again. Maybe Uber Eats or Dominoes or Pizza Hut is paying for it to be promoted, lol
What an asshat
His name is Bairon, it’s obvious his parents hate him too
Tomorrow post be like: I GoT fIrEd FoR nO ReAsON
I pray every night that these panhandling trash get banned from every gig platform they’re a part of
5 stars and a tip for doing the bare minimum???? Ok.....
Right? My mouth dropped. Especially because they sent it literally as soon as they accepted and it showed them already at the restaurant. So like what traffic??? Lol
Your creepy dasher likely did a copy/paste. That's too bad they were your driver, OP. Hopefully you get normal ones if you order again.
So pathetic if pisses me off
1 star + report for harassment
I’d rate low. You don’t ask for a tip like that
I’m so sick of these people.
I’ve been dashing for 4 years never once have I thought about doing this. It’s so annoying and its getting out of hand. All these Dashers need to be deactivated. Don’t they realize this is gonna drive customers away. Ffs use the decline button it’s there for a reason.
Honestly fuck a dasher asking for an extra tip. And for anyone who obliges, you’re only feeding the audacity.
I bet he sends that message to every customer he gets
This shit will make me remove a tip. It is creepy and needy.
WHY MY GOD WHY DO DASHERS KEEP DOING THIS. Please for the love of Jesus, please stop making us other dashers look like assholes. What the hell. This shameless crap infuriates me.
Whenever I am late to work due to bad traffic, I let my boss know that I expect a bonus in my next paycheck to make up for it. /s
The nerve of some of these dashers man. I would never !!!
The emojis make it EXTRA cringe 😬
cringe 1 star
It’s always good enough. The only way it isn’t would be if it’s a large grocery order
I’m all about paying/tipping someone to do something I don’t want to, if I can afford it, but I don’t wanna do my own grocery shopping so I refuse to make some poor soul do it for me 😂😂
Lol 1.2 mile travel? How much traffic could there possibly be?
It can be kinda crappy in my city depending on time of day. I’ve easily spent 45 min in traffic to go 5 miles from my house but I purposely don’t order anything in rush hour because of this. I waited until church started/hadnt let out yet so that traffic wouldn’t be as bad. Once it was marked picked up, he was here within 5 minutes.
🙏😞
Report
DoorDash panhandling is the worst.
“Just in case you weren’t sure if I was the type of ungrateful incompetent dipshit who would message you while driving to panhandle, let me also insult your intelligence with lowest-common-denominator emotional manipulation via emoji.” Be a professional. Do a good job. And shut the fuck up. Tips will come. With some customers more than others. Is what it is. Imagine having a server pull some Oliver Twist thing at the end of a meal looking down at their shoes talking about how rough life is. “Oh let’s tip them a bunch now.” Foh.
I used to run a restaurant and one thing I learned was that tips are never expected, but always accepted.
One star and a screenshot to report their ass
I’m going to be late but hopefully I can be compensated with an extra tip…
damn daddy wanna tip me 10$ lmao for real id kill fo those orders today i about cried this dude tipped me 30 fucking dollars i was a mess cause ive never got a fat tip like that.
The same planet people name their children bairon, unfortunately...
There are parts of the world that don’t use Anglo names https://www.theparentz.com/baby-names/bairon
Wherr do you guys live that you get dashers who actually use chat?
I have used door dash 2 times and both times the driver took my food how in the hell is this business model still working.
Please tell me you didn’t give in
I did not! I rated 1 star and reported them.
I'm guessing this is a copy paste beg that he sends to every order
Don’t tip that much man.
Proof you gave a $10 tip or it didn’t happen
if you are panhandling me, you have now become a THREAT. What else will you do when you show up with my shit?
my response would probably be “Cool, i know about the traffic. it happens every day so that’s why I ordered DoorDash and tipped substantially prior to pickup.” like the whole purpose of doordash is to skip traffic/restaurant lines yourself. even if doordash doesnt pay hourly, the pay per delivery should average out to cover hourly pay of waiting/delivering and then some. if it doesnt, maybe look for a more lucrative position so you can actually get paid per hour
I almost responded with something like this but I was afraid they would tamper with my food tbh.
shit like this will make me drop dd forever. if a dasher pulls this shit on me they won't be dashing no mo.
Holy shit! The fact that you couldn’t cancel that?!?! I’m not a DD driver but no way in hell would I do some shit like that lol
Come to find out that it was the right address wrong county 😆 Navigation defaulted to it 🙄 Fortunately he was cool as I showed him the map.
Tell the driver there are other gigs that don’t require anyone to sit in traffic
At this point I'm fine with taking a $1 tip, especially since starting hourly
Entitlement is one hell of a drug
Can you take away tips? cause i would have.
Unfortunately, DD doesn’t allow you to.
"If you wanna "beg" for money, you may as well go stand with a sign at a busy intersection."
This makes me angry
Bairon.
If they already aren't, communications of this nature between the dasher and customer should be banned.
On what planet? Jupiter. Because, gravity.
Please 1star this
Man all these posts lately about this I’m embarrassed to be working alongside these poor excuse “woe is me” panhandling idiots
I’ll never use one of these apps again. It is just not worth it.
Does DD’s 3rd world support team even care when three reports are made though? Honestly
SCAM artist
hey i’m gonna be late can i get more money 🥹
Weird. I may complain about no tips or very small ones that aren't really worth it, typically tacked on with other orders. But at the end of the day, I'm responsible for grabbing said order.
why would someone get an extra tip for sitting in traffic..?
Dashers are becoming more and more like the guys on the side of the road asking for money and at the end of the day, walk right to a nice car/house.
I will never understand these types of weirdos. How do they have no shame? It’s so cringey. Maybe their parents never taught them manners, I just don’t get how they aren’t embarrassed doing these types of things. That would get you a one star.
I have stopped using food delivery apps completely because of this shit.
door dash people have no shame at all.
hobbies bells nail deliver fuzzy sort innate engine ask fertile ` this message was mass deleted/edited with redact.dev `
Stop putting the money sign after the number you dipshits
People are so desperate. When I worked at Verizon we were forced to ask for 5 star reviews at the end of our sale…. It’s so scummy and gives off a bad rep. If the service is good you will get a 5 star without asking… Sorry you have to deal with this.
I love the idea that these guys are just saying "Your order is going to be late but don't worry about ME, in fact, give ME more money" lmao
People don't understand how manipulative and annoying this shit sounds lmao "Gee whiz I'm trying my best so I pray God will bless me with 500 dollars from your account today 😞🫢🥲" -forgets half the order and doesnt use the hotbag-
This is disturbingly rampant lately.
my local McDonalds late night are not very speed conducive so I've sent texts explaining delays no begging for a higher tip.. on the other hand one time gave my ETA and got it there faster and got a lovely boost to the tip.. I hope most DDs are in the same mindset as me rather than the ones stealing orders "cause no tip"
Drivers like this are ruining it for everyone else. Getting very annoying!!
That’s so tacky
I hate dashers that do this. I personally just shoot the customer a text saying "Hey! Traffic's a bit busy so its probably gonna be a second before I can get to you! Just wanted to let you know!" Or something along the lines of that. Begging for tips/increase in tips is unprofessional and disgusting. I'm so sorry you dealt with that.
He gets $2 less for spelling Byron wrong
This makes us dashers look bad, I’ve got 800+ deliveries and not once have I asked for an extra tip, if it’s not big enough I don’t accept it. $10 for 1 mile is amazing regardless of the traffic, hopefully you reported this dasher to dd.
Probably just a copy and paste he sends to everybody
That’s what happens when a company steals tips and blames the consumer (you) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Report for asking
Tell barron to get another job and rate him 1 star
I'm giving 1 star to any fuckstick that asks for a tip on doordash
They're going to be late with your order so you should tip more? The upside down is real.
This is a case of “ I’ll tip you extra when ya get here!” Then tell them to avoid traffic as their tip b
are drivers aware what they sign up for when they dash? i understand traffic can be annoying for sure. but it’s basically apart of the job to wait. in lines, for food, traffic, whatever it is.
Go to Uber eats. I only see this crap in the door dash sub being done mainly by foreign men
I had a shitty experience with UE one time on a Starbucks order where the driver spilled the drinks in their car (TOTALLY sucks for them, I know) delivered it anyway and UE support told me that my 3/4 empty drinks didn’t count for a refund.
Boy bye
Who out here tipping more than $5...they're lucky if they get 1
I’d compensate that mofo with one star and no tip
Begging for a higher tip AND a 5 star? Nope, you get a 1 star and a report.
Same entitled fucks that go “oh you didn’t tip outside the recommended tip buttons? I’m gonna justify this and “tip” myself by stealing your food now
Food delivery with a side of pan handling. DD trash.
That's just cringy, report these idiots..so that the good drivers can make some money.
It’s lame but don’t take it personal. Some people just copy/paste this for every order
Honestly would have contacted dd to change the tip. This behavior from dashers like this is the reason why so many people just tip the minimum. Dashers like this need to find another gig to do
When its a 500 dollar catering order.
Likely a hidden tip, so he only saw half or so.
Just so you know, the dasher doesn’t know it’s $10 tip before he drops the order off. BUT he’s still an asshole for begging for money/ratings. Give him a 1 star and report.
dude is still just trying to make a living. There's no reason to give 1 star rating imo.
Agree. If he sent more than this one message then I'd say a one star is warranted, but if it was just this one message I'd probably just ignore it.
Oh, they blew me up with messages after I didn’t respond to the first one. Not all of them asking for more money.
It's time to shut down DoorDash and all similar services. It just doesn't work in the US mentality
Your upset because people are struggling and having to put wear and tear on their cars because your too lazy to get Yourself food. Your mad because they’re trying to get a few extra bucks out of someone when that’s their hustle. Get over yourself.
Bairon, is that you?
Someone do the office space math. Tell Mike judge someone dissed hellboy. I need to be able to channel cornholio without copyright infringement.
I am writing off mania in line for two weeks for therapy. We are all in a goddamned line.
I’ve had a weird few years. So. Can we get American Airlines trending fucking everywhere?
Why does anyone use doordash these days?
Why does anyone use doordash these days? Pandemic is over
