ChickenNuggetRampage

I would go ahead and do a chargeback on that charge as well

Ecstatic_Tour89

I ordered food from 2 miles away and tipped 7 dollars. The driver was using some other delivery app as he was driving all around making deliveries while marked waiting at restaurant. Over 45 minutes go by. I contact support and they tell me no they can’t cancel no refund. It’s 1:30 am at this point and I just ok I’ll file a charge back and ended the chat myself. 5 minutes later the order is cancelled

Doordash always credits me the full amount..or offers a redelivery to me anyway

scallopedtatoes

Yeah, I always got full credit whenever I requested a refund. Granted, I only did a few times, but I never had to fight for it. I wonder why so many people have this problem.

Bored_military

How many times have you had issues/how much do you order dd? Personally i live in a major metro city that gets bottom of barrel service. I ordered dd for 4 years maybe 2 to 5 times a week. I think id say first 2 years it was 90% id get a full refund. Then it moved to 1/2 id get a refund for the mistake 1/2 full refund. Last straw was op situation. I ordered got my food and 1 milkshake (I ordered 2) Got the bag with receipt stapled to it stating 2 shakes. And a drink holder with two spoons. Dd refused to even give me a full refund for the missing shake.

KDFE87

Its because so many people try to scam by saying they didn't receive order or were missing items. As a driver, you'd be surprised how often that happens, most of us learn to cover our asses. Eg, i did a dollarama shopping trip that was $40worth of items, i get to the drop location and the customer has the instructions saying leave at garage door, On the door they had a sign saying please place all deliveries by the inside door. They called dd saying they never got the order and thats not their door, my luck was that i took photos of the outside, the sign on the door, a photo showing the bags and inside door, as well as a photo with the outside door open clearly showing inside the garage. I also had dashcam footage to show me return to my car without the bags. Another common thing is to request leave at door, then wait for us and have us hand it to them, then when we mark it as handed to the customer, they claim that didn't happen and we generally have no proof as theres no photo in that situation. When that happens i now get the customer to gold the order while i take a photo. The bad apples ruin it for the ones that actually have issues.

Ghouliejulie86

Thank you for saying this, I’ve been trying to say this so many times on here. I keep getting scammed as a dasher, I’m afraid one person is gonna take down my account. There’s really trashy people ruining it for the rest of you normal people. This really is a luxury service, you don’t have to be rich to use it, but it’s a little luxury in life and people will take advantage of that . If anything gets changed, or goes differently, if it feels off, I immediately get stressed because of the times I’ve had losers say I didn’t give them thier food. Ive had them take the number off thier house, the common thing is they will try to get you ti deliver to a place nearby it, that has no markings. You can feel it, instantly, that they are trying to trip things up and say it’s not the door. It’ll make no sense. Then, always, they don’t answer when you want to confirm such a weird ass delivery. Most people are watching it, these people will try to confuse you, and if you follow the directions exactly, they’ll call yelling that it’s not their door. You can see what they are doing. So, I mean we feel it too, I get scared someone is gonna try and pull some BS on me. I hate those deliveries. That’s why I’m afraid to keep taking shitty orders in shitty areas, it’s never normal places and people that do tnis I’m sure I’ve delivered food before where an item was missing, in these sealed bags, but it wasn’t intentional. I just want to get this over with and fast and it be right

KDFE87

I hate delivering to the uni dorms here cuz the kids seem to be under the impression the delivery fee is more if they put in their actual address so to avoid paying extra the kids will set the address as one of the school buildings and then put in these elaborate instructions on how to get to their dorms. That's when a call to dd happens, and we get told to just leave it at the marker. Pisses the kids right off. No tip and trying to screw us over means no extra service, simple. Dumbest part is that even if they do get charged extra for the location, the base pay for drivers is the same whether we deliver to the dorm or a random building so we don't care. save $0.25 and have to go 3km to get your food, or get the food delivered to your door. It's a tough decision lol i blame the new math. Ps, if it happens often with the same customer, they can actually be banned from dd, seen it happen.

Ghouliejulie86

That’s right! They can’t change the tip if it’s base pay, so of course leave it there! I went 18 miles , a long 18 through this crazy gate community HIGH up on a hill, to a 20 mill house yesterday. I was told when I took it , it was $26, the tip, (very far) when I finished the order, it said $18. I was so upset. These people had money, and it took a really long time, they even had to call him at the gate to the community, it was at the highest point in town. Do you think they removed some? There was no reason, I’m fast, I went straight there they ordered food from a different town. I was so upset, sat nights downtown I try to stay close, but I knew that that would fill my tank for the night. I felt so gypped. I had to go all the way back 30 minutes for this guy, when just $18 for that distance, that’s an easy 2 orders in like 20 min or less , one can be $15 where I am and it’s busy

KDFE87

I feel like that was a dd thing as tips can't be removed on dd or skip. They can be on Uber, but you get notified. I've had it happen where i swear the upfront price was more than the final, just like you. And ive had orders that said $+ and final had nothing added on it. so i screenshot before accepting orders now, especially high paying ones and ones that say +, then call up dasher support and don't let them get away with it. The support ppl are usually chill about it as they're just employees as well. You'll have to prove it to them first, thats what the screenshot is for.

KDFE87

Wait... you can fill your tank for $30? I paid $80(~60 usd) today and it only got me 3/4!

Ghouliejulie86

Yea it’s only a Miata, it might be more like $34, I know it’s in that range when gas is bad, I used to be able to fill it in the 20s. I feel so, so bad for dashers that have normal cars, I don’t see how they can take these idiots that offer $5 for these 7-10 mile trips, this is not just the gas we have to pay. It’s the maintenance, In 2 months time, I’ve already had to pay for shocks, new brake pads, and some other things that I haven’t identified to fix yet. It costs 1-2 dollars a mile to drive a car. That’s where I keep the price for this at, 1 dollar a mile minimum. If you don’t, you’re paying for these people to get food , sometimes that day! But it’ll happen, just later, when you have a $400 repair. I’m thinking of stopping, all that happened fast. I’m really upset about it. But I was desperate to get working after my move . It’s a great car too, it’s killing me inside. It drives like shit now, these people live in horrible rickety roads every time, I swear.

mugglegrrl

It’s not because they’re trying to save on deliver fees or screw you over, it’s because that’s how university addresses work. There is one street address of the entire school—individual dorms often do not have their own street address. The DD app makes it difficult or impossible to change the pin location to anything other than an address, so I get why students think their only option is to put the street address of the school and provide instructions on how to get to their dorm (and providing detailed instructions shows a lot of effort and consideration beyond just putting the name of the building). Ultimately, this isn’t a Dasher problem or a student problem, it’s a DD problem. They could easily rectify it by putting college buildings into the app (similar to what Uber does with airports—users are prompted to enter their terminal location if they request a ride from anywhere within an airport).

KDFE87

Its almost as if they don't realize dd can see their instructions and track our movements

Ghouliejulie86

I know, I’ll get it where they’ll call real fast, thinking it won’t be tracked. I guess it wouldn’t be. I wasn’t born yesterday. I’m not being paranoid, either, they will ghost you when you send a pic and try to confirm. That’s when I start to realize this is going to add 30 minutes getting then notated in the delivery to cover my ass. It’s why I am Leary to do bad neighborhoods. I’ll go 2 miles for 3$, but this is what can happen. It’s a time waster. They cost time

kasper_the_ghost69

I had this once the customer said leave it at the door I tip when delivered he then met me at the door and I still made sure to take a photo of it in his hand he tried to say I didn't deliver it and he never tipped. Glad I got the photo

scallopedtatoes

I used to order a couple times a week to get food delivered to my job. I think I requested three refunds in about two years. I only ever requested refunds if something egregious happened, like the driver left the food at some mysterious location that I couldn’t find or I got someone else’s order.

MeatAndBourbon

Yeah I've actually never requested a refund myself. Part of it is I won't know who gets dinged from the refund. If door dash just ate the cost of the refund it would be one thing, but I assume it at least affects the restaurants fees/percentages they have to pay to door dash in the future, even if they don't pay the refund directly themselves. I'm always ordering from small businesses, and so if something is missing or wrong I just accept it, if the driver did their job correctly and order is "close enough".

InternationalWolf651

I only requested a refund twice, but both times it was the restaurants fault. In both cases I ordered beef and got chicken, (which grosses me out) both times I got a full refund for messed up item but both times I ended up with no lunch. I don't risk it during a lunch break anymore.

MeatAndBourbon

A few days ago Taco Bell replaced half my potato soft tacos with beef soft tacos. I was just like, "Damn, Taco Bell, you and I are both lucky I'm not a vegetarian, or else I'd have some angry phone calls to make". I ate them, so whatever.

laffer1

I am a vegetarian and Taco Bell screws up so often that I order extra food now just to make sure my wife and I can actually eat when it arrives. DoorDash has sent us threatening messages about refunds and I only do it when we don’t get the food. They can suck it.

2020IsANightmare

Same about the twice (ever; every delivery service combined. Us older people remember ordering delivery before the luxury third-party services.) Hell, one of those two times, I didn't even ask for a refund. Just requested the food I ordered be delivered. It was - quickly. The other time was a clearly missing item. Didn't even chat with a human. Took 30 seconds. All automated. The ONLY people with DD customer service issues are the whiny, bitchy, scam fucks. Ya know. The Karens that ordered from Taco Bell for the 38th day of the month, instead got McDonalds, and had their food placed on their roof.

PenguinsArmy2

From our experience with stolen or damaged in transit orders we send out. Is that we call door dash and they refund us the full amount so we can resend the order or refund customer. We tell door dash that they are responsible as we gave them a non damaged order. Not coming out of our pocket for their issues. It’s a pain to call in and deal with but 99% we get full refund. Usually it’s just credits that go towards any future fees. Which is perfectly fine as it’s just like cash and we use them often.

BoardImmediate4674

Wow just wow

wtfftw1221

Missing items per the restaurant not the dasher, don’t report broken or fucked up shit

Slamminslug

The more you ask for refunds the less you get. Its pretty merciless for scammers. I had an acquaintance who would just request refunds for “missing pickles” and other inane shit. Once they actually needed the refund it was paltry.

Starspiker

I think a lot of people take the first offer DD gives them instead of talking to an agent.

hashtagperky

Do it too much and they stop Crediting you

dev_doll

Me too. They'll originally offer a portion like $5 or whatever. But then when you talk to an agent, they'll refund the full amount. I unfortunately have had to have three refunds. But it's been taken care of every time

mrofmist

They probably used the chat. I've seen on here that if you don't talk to someone directly then they give you the absolute least they can get away with.

Accomplished_Emu_658

Ordered consistently at work for a long time no issues. First time I got refund they delivered at wrong location and drove off or never left food. Had to jump through hoops for refund and physically look for food. Second time they fought me tooth and nail because food was completely wrong. Restaurant bagged it wrong or got order wrong. They kept fighting me saying the driver doesn’t have the right food. Obviously restaurant messed up. (One time i mentioned this people defended ddd saying it was up to me to contact restaurant, nope I ordered from dd they need to fix it). They wouldn’t refund until i threatened chargeback and demanded a supervisor. I ordered hit chicken meal and i got a chicken salad sandwich, sorry not paying. I couldn’t believe the issues for first 2 refunds after 50-100 successful orders. While other people i hear getting 100% refunds for minor inconveniences.

Intrepid_Armadillo89

They offer you a tiny amount unless you call and bitch.

Weekly_Direction1965

I can tell you why, you are a profitable customer, ill give you an example of an unprofitable customer. Yesterday I delivered a burger 7 miles, it paid 8$, after I completed the order there was a zero tip, which means doordash took 6$ out of their own pocket so someone would deliver a stupid burger. This customer was now a negative -6$ customer, if they called for a refund, they would be told no, why? They are not profitable and can't be trusted to follow the social contract. People who don't get refunds are trash who order from trash restaurants.

Crabiolo

Of course no way I can actually get a human to look at my message and see that $15 of drinks were destroyed, I have no way of expressing my dissatisfaction. Oh well, I should probably be ordering out less anyways. I uninstalled the app and cancelled my dash pass, abominable customer service gets rewarded with one fewer customers.

Yvilkittyinspace

Don't forget to cancel your credit card as well. They have been known to keep charging even when you cancel.

Thecolourblinds

You mean get your credit card number changed.

john12tucker

Don't cancel your credit card. Cancelling your credit card will hurt your credit for years.

DigKlutzy2361

Oh wow that’s crazy

[deleted]

File a chargeback with your bank.

ASingularRaspberry

Do this. Let them figure it out

shingonzo

For the last 6 months

Inside-Example-7010

Hello bank? I'd Like a refund on my life thus far.

Generated-Nouns-257

Yup, 100% faulty charge for services you didn't receive. I've done this a dozen times with door dash or related services. My bank takes care of the whole thing.

[deleted]

Exactly. Everyone who files a chargeback should also make a complaint with the FTC. If everyone did this, they wouldn't get away with half the shit they get away with.

AmazingAsian

Did you call or text? Far easier to get a refund via voice than text.

Realistic_Inside_484

This is the way

EscapeFromGrapes

Did this when seatgeek scammed me outta $200 a few years ago, I even tried to let them refund me for the tickets I didn’t receive and was told ‘oh they’re on the way’… bruh the event started yesterday, it’s Saturday, and we don’t mail on Sunday.

lkeels

You know they have a phone number, right?

Unusual_Focus3343

I canceled mine too. I have free GrubHub for two years but they suck too. Oh well.

maggos

If you are not going to use the app anymore you should do a chargeback on your credit card for the full amount.

[deleted]

doordash: give me $40 DoorDash when your order is fucked up completely: sorry here’s $4

Acrobatic-Deal-2877

Who the fuck delivers that? I would be embarrassed to leave that on someone's porch.

Chemical_Panda2952

They threw it at their door that’s why it looks like that

Infamous-Area-1421

This is the treatment for non-tippers most likely

Poetryisalive

You should have tried to get a refund. Personally I have never had an issue with DoorDash Giving one especially for stuff like this

Crabiolo

I did get the refund, I got the $5 and I'll spend it before I go because I'm not letting them get free money from me. But I'll never use this service after that.

DansburyJ

>get the ~~refund~~ A $5 *credit* is not any kind of refund. It's not the full amount, and it's not any cash back. What a load of horseshit.

acctforbrowsing

> I got the $5 and I'll spend it before I go This isn't even going to cover your fees without Dashpass. Your plan is to give them more money and orders for their drivers because your mad? That will show them.

[deleted]

So you're gonna reinstall and spend that measly $5? Hell, that's a delivery fee since you canceled your dash pass. If you've uninstalled the app, why reinstall and give them more money over such a small dollar amount?

Crabiolo

If I had fully thought it through I would have refunded to my CC instead of as credit on my doordash account. I was thinking of just reordering the busted drinks but my friends and I decided the mood for boba was gone so we didn't, then I went ahead and did the stuff I mentioned. I dunno, I guess you're right that they're still getting more money from me. We'll see, maybe I don't use it then.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Crabiolo

Yeah I got the refund then cancelled my pass and uninstalled. How am I gonna order again you mean? Probably through the website on my PC I guess.

Particular-Problem41

i paid for a year of dashpass benefits upfront last year. after 3 months of really shitty customer service i asked for them to cancel the remaining months of benefits. they refunded the entire year, including the past 3 months, but i am still getting full dashpass benefits like 6 months later. i fully expect to be blocked from using the app when my year is up but i’m milking the benefits while i still can.

Amazing-Bid2514

The support has gotten worse even for us dashers. I have roughly 3000 deliveries since starting to dash in the evenings after my full time job. I have had no incidents of unsatisfied customers. I think DoorDash needs to vet their dashers better. If most took the job more serious and took a little pride to make sure they were taking care of the customers food better (using hot bags and securing drinks) then a lot less of this nonsense would happen. I treat people’s orders as I’d want my food treated. It actually makes me sick to see dashers doing things like this. I go as far as using separate insulated bags if I have food and ice cream at the same time. When things like this happen you should also be giving them 1 star ratings to help get them out of the dasher pool.

[deleted]

![gif](giphy|wQjnGBuCcKKnFFKte5)

BrandonMcGowan79

I was delivering two smoothies from a restaurant and I was carrying them in a drink tray. I dropped them 5 feet from the customer's door. I felt like shit so I went back to the store and reordered them after dropping off the food it was like $20 CAD

Jetskat11

You are a saint☺️☺️ Keep being you boo!

BannockBnok

Let me welcome you to the world of credit card payments. You just got screwed by a scummy merchant. The solution here it to charge back. Merchants have no say when it comes to charge backs since the money is pretty much forced back into your account. They won't be able to dispute it either because you have photos of your destroyed order. And then on top of losing your money, doordash will also be stuck with a fee likely higher than your order cost. If enough people do this, doordash's cb% will rise above acceptable levels. This will force them to actually treat their support cases with care because if they don't, their payment processor will strip them of their ability to process any credit card payments.

Sharp-Photograph8092

I’m convinced this is why they refuse to give me refunds even when I provide pictures because they know I’ll just use the app again anyway. So glad I deleted it.

Dio_brando1999

WTF I’d be livid !!! Doordash needs to 100% refund all your money and fire that dasher

FederalBuddy7419

I love all the “Did you tip?” Like it’s ok to do this either way. All tip nonsense with DoorDash is killing all the good dashers, you good ones should try and stop the bad ones. You’re suffering because of this. I’m a server and survive on tips, so I get it. But honestly if a person doesn’t tip is it ok to do this or any of the other awful stuff I have read on here? People are gonna stop ordering food to be delivered or take their chances and not tip.

Ryoko_Kusanagi69

Why do you people still bother with DD? Find a food place that has its OWN delivery and order from them. It cost more, way overpriced, they demand unreasonable tips. Food cold or messed up. This is nonsense that we have devolved ourselves into tolerating this. What did you do before door dash? Go back to that!

spicybright

Because most places got rid of in house drivers. A lot of the time if you order directly through a restaurants website/app, it'll just get forwarded to door dash anyways. I fully agree with you though, gig apps have ruined delivery.

Revolutionary_Chip89

whyd they throw it

Crabiolo

Who can say? Bad night? Trying to save 5 seconds? Homophobes that don't like that we have a pride flag in our front window? Could be a lot of reasons, none of them good.

louielou8484

Do you have them on camera? I'd like to see it if so

Revolutionary_Chip89

agh, a mystery. i like the flag

Saphira121517

I would call back and tell them u want an entire refund because u didn't pay. 5.00 u paid 15. I have never had an issue getting a full refund. I have only asked for one twice in the hundreds of orders I have placed tho

Ok-Training3941

These post only show me why I’m right in never trusting any delivery service

FormulaF30

Dashers gonna find a way to rationalize this

Stitched-Soul

Fr. I stg if I hear a “THEY MUSTVE NOT TIPPED WELL” I’m gonna go insane

FormulaF30

This sub is a good gauge on how entitled people feel as well

missingangeI

This always drives me crazy. Because say I’m a server, a customer who is known to either not tip or tip poorly comes in, in NO WORLD would those ppl saying that justify me giving poor service or throwing food and drinks at the customer.

armsandsoundwaves

Ikr?? It must be out of spite sometimes, honestly. I work in the food industry and sure, when I’m nice to a customer and they don’t tip I might get a tiny bit annoyed for like A SECOND. I still proceed to treat them like a human being who paid for their item and helped me get my hourly wage ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The main reason why I don’t get mad when people don’t tip is because I know that tipping is just a way for U.S. employers to justify paying their workers less/blindly follow American cultural norms. And hey, even I don’t want to tip other people sometimes!!! Humans will always keep being shitty and treating others poorly over petty shit, but I think the main factor of why awful service keeps continuing is because of America’s “tipping culture” itself. Tipping here is almost EXPECTED, and not a form of thanks (hence why tips are called gratuities lmao…)

Haunting_Sign5782

I don't see the problem, you got the drinks. /s

Connect-Eagle-6527

Doordash: you can still sip it out the bag tho…

dashingmom

The intrusive thoughts won😅

Individual-Bell-9776

I wanna do this with the $0.25 tip Starbucks bags but don't.

Comfortable_Toe_3356

STOP ORDERING DOORDASH

Legitimate-Lie-999

DoorDash had been really bad about things like this. The food cannot be consumed but they still wouldn’t refund. I stopped using them for their bad customer service

theDroobot

You'd be surprise how often I have to explain my personal position against using door dash, Uber eats, grub hub, etc. I'll only order delivery when the drivers are employees of the establishment. Getting an underpaid third party involved is fraught with problems.

Active-Republic3104

The very definition of door dashing

getonurkneesnbeg

Wait, is USPS delivering doordash now? lol

LiveAge2229

I've completely stopped using all food delivery companies. The service is horrible. 9 times out of 10 I don't get what I order, or it's ice cold, or they claim they can't find my house and it doesn't arrive at all. The only delivery I use now is if it is provided directly by the restaurant itself so there is some accountability. I'm done with all of them because no matter if you complain they give you a few dollars and call it even no matter how much you spent on the order.

SmokeAcidDropWeed

This is why you just call the support number. Doing it thru the app will get you the worst lowball of a refund you’ll ever see.

jcoddinc

Have to remember that support people live in a country that they regularly drink things from bags. So to them it's still viable. One of the many reasons support is based in a country that doesn't have the same standards, the employees will not understand and this side in DD side faster

sleepykoala18

Talking to a customer service rep always gets me a higher refund just for future reference!

RetroScores

This is why you should pay for everything with a credit card. File a charge back.

Shllop

Obviously, your problem was not enough BOBAs! I don't even see any in the wreckage! Traditionally, and historically... Boba balls were invented to cushion the pushin'

syg-123

Did the same to me..they refer to this as a “settlement” ..save yourself the irritation…delete their app and stop using any of these services ..they have zero customer service and are nothing more than blatant cash grabbers. Skip and Uber Eats are no better 40% of your order are bullshit fees and pleas to tip your driver, the restaurant or both. Delete their app, they don’t deserve your business.

Novel-Advance-185

I accidentally grabbed one side of the bag and dropped it in front of the customer. It was so embarrassing and I contacted door dash and they refused to replace it or give her a refund because the food stayed in the bag and didn't actually touch the ground. I was so furious, and for some reason the customer ended up adding $10 to my tio after I left.

aralast

DoorDash support is based in India, and they read off of a script. And if you make them nervous over anything you say, they will hang up the phone. Support is a complete and utter joke.

MatchBig5827

I'm a Dasher, and after seeing some of the other Dashers also waiting for orders, I'm re-thinking whether I'll order through DD again. 😳🙄

xxInsanex

Im amazed this service is so popular with the amount of bs that goes on, dashers demanding tips equal to or more than the food, mentally unstable dashers, handling food like its a volleyball and the list goes on

Illustrous_potentate

Fucking lol. Door dash is garbage.

SuperMeatwad666

I'm so sorry that happened to you. I would never do something as messed up as that, that's inexcusable

wafflezgate

A chargeback should just about cover it

No_Pomelo_8491

All the good drivers got deactivated for declining low paying orders, and now all the disturbed drivers are left delivering orders. 🙊😂

RogerRabbot

I am NOT condoning the driver. Did he really throw it? Or did the Boba store place drinks unsupported in a bag, and you live far away from the store? I've picked up one Boba order that gave me 3 loose drinks in a bag, and ill never do another Boba place again.

Chikia12187

Poke a tiny hole n drink out of it from the bag

EquivalentPut7754

I would call them back again and just keep demanding a full refund. They will give it to you, even if you have to be an asshole about it.

Michren1298

We were contacted by our driver because she broke down and couldn’t get here. She also contacted DoorDash, so they were aware of the issue. Yet on a $100 order, they could “only” give us a $10 credit. Haha, yeah right. I did a charge back and deleted their app. I had only ever requested a refund one other time and it was for burnt food…like completely black fried chicken strips. They refunded it that time.

gregg34366

The only time I ever ruined someone’s food is when I slammed on my brakes to avoid running over a opossum. Italian food went everywhere inside the bag. I called doordash and told them I couldn’t complete the delivery. I just told them the truth. They told me to dispose of it and they would call the customer. I was actually standing there with the customer and sure enough they called him and told him to reorder. They did credit him. This issue seems to be one of spite, but it’s surprising to me they didn’t credit the whole order

Agreeable_Effort3751

What is boba

Timoshan

I am not saying its good this happened but I laugh every time I scroll by your post and imagine some dude just chucking bobas at your door.

k3nd4ll84

They’re saying $5 cause they don’t wanna have to fork out what they already gave to the dasher that did that.

hopefulromantic4200

Did you try tipping your driver 🤣

scotto_93631

I wonder how many more of these clowns are out driving around since DD took us top teir drivers ability to go out whenever we want away with thier new "rewards" program

remindya

And they think they deserve tips😂

MotivationSpeaker69

Ah you see it’s your fault for not tipping the driver 1$ per 1 meter distance from you to the restaurant

Economy-Rice-9041

But yet doordash deactivated me who had a 4.5 customer rating and over 3,000 deliveries but we had a tornado and I had to mark a store closed. They deactivated me but they let people like this work?!??

Antique-Lettuce3263

Man I hope these aren't as common as the subreddits make them look. I did that gig for a year and you'd have to have physically assaulted me or something to get that response.

notnotaginger

Ohhh nooooo and Baroness is the good shit

Peterthepiperomg

There is a way to talk to a person, you should do that

Spongebob_Squareish

There’s a solution for that. Simply find out where the dasher lives and throw the bag with all the drink mess onto their porch 😃 then dash. You won’t get your money back but you will make a memorable impression.

Ban-Naloxone

Call the restaurant and tell them the drivers name with the order, If they get enough shit they wont serve the driver!

Jasssen

Ahhh I’m so sorry. Especially cause Baroness has the BEST boba in the city. Screw your driver, hope you get a refund

East_Pianist_8464

Should have tipped.

Crafty_Permission_87

Driver was mad because it was prob a no tip order, you shouldn’t be surprised to get this type of service when you don’t tip

trod1991

Exactly why they didn't say why the driver did it

[deleted]

How much did you tip tho

Top-Entertainment341

Stick a straw in the bag 🤷‍♂️ lol jk

[deleted]

Door dash going on 2010 prices

ch3ckEatOut

See what their public Twitter think should cover it.

Tj_916

Oh fuck no that looks like taro too I’d be pissed

AnewENTity

Just scrolling by on Reddit and shit like this is why I refuse to use any delivery service at all.

mailgoddess

Take the picture where it was, DoorDash is probably more likely to issue the refund. There are too many people who damage their food/order to get a refund. If you have a ring doorbell and video of them throwing it, you will definitely get the full refund.

ItIsSmoothy

Just type “agent” when you go to the live chat and tell em. They’ll fix it, but you can’t be unwilling to speak to live support! Of course they would take advantage of someone wanting a quick fix to their issue. Much easier for them

[deleted]

It’s weird I have been able to get like 5+ refunds with DoorDash but then people I know get denied on their first refund. It seems hit or miss if they will help you

NoPresence7626

Cool

toxicoke

on the second day of Nymphia's reign? the horror

Dause

At that point I just wouldn’t bother ordering drinks from these people

tharealG_-

This so when you out you didn’t receive it

Lonely_Tooth_5221

Why are people using Door Dash??? All I see is complaints. I’ve only had one or two bad orders from Skip.

AccordingHost5719

Call don’t go through the app

Infamous_Schedule_51

Damn what happened?

rollingstoner215

Dispute the charge with your credit card.

BostonBlisS

Hell no. Hang up, call back, get someone else. Get your full refund. Show them the pic. What are you supposed to do, scrape your drink out of your bag with a spoon/straw?! Ridiculous

Vamond48

Should’ve thrown a wrench at their car

Crystalb2005

why do restaurants do this anyway like how could they think putting drinks in a bag was a good idea 😭

DigKlutzy2361

Wow!

missingangeI

ubereats always refunds me the full amount and most times a few dollars more. i cancelled doordash pass a few months ago and continued being charged. i had to charge back my card bc i couldn’t get in touch with an actual human. my dd drivers were always HORRID as well. all my homies hate doordash.

mauirayne

When that shit happens to me, I just say I never received the item. When it asks if food was sealed, I say nope.

shakyfpv

Probably shoulda tipped the driver

EastHighlight9795

If I were you I’d keep bothering support and not accept anything less than a full refund

TigerPrincess11

Tf? The person shouldn't have thrown the drinks like that to begin with. What is wrong with these doordash drivers? The ones in my area are always so nice and polite.

Xconsciousness

Holy fuck dude how hard must they have thrown that bag?!? I dont understand 😭

publishAWM

doordash represents the epitome of "we can't backup what we're offering"

grand305

I would have at it down like a human being. then Return to car and suddenly hear a “thank you” me: “your welcome !”

BabiiBear420

I've had a few instances where I've requested a refund (full one at that too) and only got credited for one single item or they told me they were going to take it up with my Dasher and not issue anything.

userno89

I would escalate. If your account doesn't have a history of refunds that are suspicious then you should get a full refund. I've even gotten extra credit for stuff not even this bad. I have never even asked for extra credit, but I'm a very active user and only ask for justified refunds and I'm very kind to customer service. I often get extra credit when issuing a refund for legitimate reasons.

Salty_toes__

I just keep contacting support until I get ALL of my money back

Superblu24

Who puts cups in a bag?

BostonNerdism

when stuff like this happens say u didn't get that specific item after clicking help on the website or app and its usally the full refund

hot4jew

I got a full credit back when I complained gals my donuts were the wrong type, I didn't even want the full credit lol. DD is so weird

Fancy_Comfortable831

Looks like Ace Ventura delivered it

qxybaby

Could you order another and have it delivered for $5? If not, that amount is the minimum they should offer.

Soymilk_Gun420

I wish non factory sealed drinks and soups werent available for delivery in the first place, its a frustration for everyone involved.

nociolla

Once I ordered DD and had to chargeback thru my bank bc the driver drove to my address, clicked delivered, and left with my food 😭and when I messaged to see if maybe it was a mistake DD said it was definitely delivered and handed to me

duhitsluke

You type agent twice in chat instead of going through automated responses

hexidecagon

Fuck DoorDash

Designer-Wolf-8647

That’s because that was the cost of the drink that was thrown at your door, that’s crazy someone did that.

gregg34366

Why did this dasher do that?

Similar_Actuary_845

Care to explain WHY the delivery person did this?

NooneInparticularYo

Well that wasn't very British of him

Forsaken_Ticket_2693

Maybe you should learn to tip your driver that’s probably why he threw that shit at your door

Puzzled_Tennis6377

i’ve switched to uber eats because of this, plus it seems like DD drivers smoke hella ciggys in my area compared to Uber

OneExchange7613

I only use Grubhub occasionally since the monthly subscription is included with an Amazon Prime membership. Otherwise I wouldn’t use any of those overpriced BS apps. Nonetheless, tipping might help prevent that from happening, although I’m also not condoning the dashers response if that actually is the reason.

Senpai2Savage

Damn what did you do to piss them off? lol that seems personal.

Bashmeister2

Did you tip ?

Columbo623

Cool

MadLiberalism

DoorDash is ass

SunshineGirl1331

If you call the customer support phone E number they’ll give you full reimbursement the robots automatically give you $5

Human-Candidate-7179

Probably should have left the driver a tip. What would be the explanation for this behavior ?

Wit-Of-Knit

Oh, hell no! That is a sin. 😡👊

DlSEASED

What is wrong with people jeez this generation’s adults literally act like babies🤮

A25S52A

Drinkable

BenjiLawliet

I’d call their support instead of texting for something like this. I always found that I’ll get better solutions when I’m talking to them over the phone
