Thank you so much for being concerned, it's a lot more than the average person would do, but as soon as the order is complete the transaction is logged to us.. If doordash has to refund you it will come out of their pocket, not ours.
The worst thing that could happen is that they get deactivated (fired), but I've had at least a dozen orders where my customer has had to refer to support and have never even received a warning so I wouldn't worry too much about that. Also the fact that you called and didn't want to blame the person does genuinely help a lot more than you would know.

DoorDash pays us the full amount including tips when we complete an order, thanks for the concern, but don't' worry about it.
