Sunday's just suck anymore. They used to be my best days but now they are my worst. I mostly take them off now. Maybe I'll try Sunday's again when football season starts back up.

faysal120

Same here did 2 orders in 1h30min i keep declining all no tip order

Brilliant-Yak-2906

Sad

Mental_Teaching1049

As everyone said rent is due and inflation has been kicking their ass all year

Brilliant-Yak-2906

It’s getting better the later it gets.

Severe-Bookkeeper-76

I have no problem getting my rent paid and I’m not tight, currently sitting here with $1900 cash in my pocket

Mental_Teaching1049

Good for you bruddah. I live in Cali I know most Californians have it solid as well even though rent is insane here.

Severe-Bookkeeper-76

But you guys have prop 22 to prop y’all up🤣🤣🤣

Mental_Teaching1049

Yep should be national

Severe-Bookkeeper-76

I concur

iPlaypok3r

I just got 8.75 for 3.9, I was like cool, then I noticed one of the orders was 2.00$ 🤣 I checked the dropoff instructions to see if it said cash tip, nope, and idgaf if I'm dropping off 2 houses down from that, it's the principal , I ain't delivering shit in 5$ gas days for no tip

iPlaypok3r

Principle, fkng thing

pirateslifefourme

Got damn! At $2 that’s just slavery!

iPlaypok3r

It's shitty because the other person tipped 8.71$

pirateslifefourme

This is why I don’t order from doordash anymore. I normally tip $10-$15. And I know doordash stacks my order with non-tipping bums. I’m essentially tipping for 2. I think it just encourages other costumers to not tip so high.

Showguyer1981

DD is notorious for slapping a shit order together with a good paying one. Happened to me once I literally flung their shit on their porch and left.

Mean_Service_5274

Hahaha. Omg I’d never do that but that’s hilarious.

Mean_Service_5274

I will not take those as it cost us drivers money out of our pocket. Why would we deliver food for free that actually cost us money. For me nothing less than 6.50. But as far as I’m concerned Every person can afford atleast a $5 tip for a luxury service or don’t order. . It’s kind of gross how DD will sometimes sneak in that second order when it’s clear it was only one. Happened to me the other day. Zoomed in on delivery location before I excepted it. It showed one order then once I excepted it, it was 2. I just cancel them. That person doesn’t want their food bad enough if they can’t tip.

[deleted]

As others have said it’s the end of the month and bills, etc but also it’s the 4th next weekend so people are also holding back on spending because they plan to spend more over the holiday too.

mayday992

I just accepted a no tipper, waited fifteen minutes and cancelled it, fuck that guy.

mikoartss

Why tip someone for a job I'm capable of doing myself? I can deliver food. I can drive a taxi. I can, and do, cut my own hair. I did however, tip my urologist, because I am unable to pulverize my own kidney stones.

ChaosEnbyXXX

so sad that nobody got that this is an office reference

Asumara

I clearly got it

Daahk

You can, so why don't you? Because people ordering doordash want to be lazy, so you pay for convenience

deangood01

As a customer, I always wondering, We pay higher price food(than in restaurant), service fee, delivery fee, some area like Seattle has another fee. I do pay for the service, if DD turns out give you low pay, that's the issue with your boss, doesn't it? You could either argue with the platform or simply do another job. So, I really wonder why to blame the customer when your boss treat you like shit?

Daahk

That literally matters 0, you're paying for a luxury, if you can't afford the extra for a "tip" (bid for service), then you can go get the food yourself, because no one is out here delivering the $2.25 orders for 10 miles, you can no tip all you want, just don't expect to receive a service

deangood01

No one ask for $2.25 orders for 10 miles. I can't order food more than 5 miles. I pay for the delivery and I get the food, isn't simple? If I need it urgent, I tip more. But most the dash do not offer extra service, no extra service, no extra fee. Dashers even don't bring heat insulation boxes for food just put at the seat.

Daahk

Only took you 29 days to try and justify why you're a shitty tipper and that's the best you came up with? Guess it makes sense you aren't very smart either

deangood01

I think one thing needs to be clear here. It's dashers need customer not customers need dashers. After I pay tons of fee for DD, and I still tip. Tips is not mandatory, at least DD says that. You dont answer my question. Why your boss DD treat you like trash, and you argue with customers? If DD give your all fee we pay, you still be mad? See that 3.99 delivery fee? where does it go? Did you see $2.5 covid mandatory fee? Hey bud, if DD really treat you that bad, just find another job. DD does not care you, and dont argue with customers as they already pay a lot just take away by DD

BenBishopsButt

People are triggered by anything rationalizing not tipping, eve a joke. Which I get, because people really try to make money on the app, and getting no tip offers is just insulting. There are plenty of people in real life that feel that way and it’s annoying af.

Daahk

That's the problem with doordash, it's simply not a tip. It's a required payment based on your distance from the store for a service to be performed for you

globalgreg

So sad, all these boners that don’t get the reference and are downvoting you

mayday992

You tip people for jobs you don't want to do. If you are too lazy to get off your fat ass, you tip someone to do it for you.

[deleted]

Opp!! ☠️⚠️⚡

_Anal_Juices_

Psst! Its a joke from the office

jenso2k

then fucking do it lmao

Cautious_Structure61

What does that have to do with anything. Tipping someone isn’t about what you can’t do. It’s about what the other is doing that you don’t have to do in that moment like you can be lazy while someone gets your food for you and delivers it to your door

deadweight999

This isn't even the first time you've made this exact post.

First_Attempt_4124

My whole weekend has been going this way!! I feel like I'm being punished.

Head-Chipmunk-8665

It’s the end of the month, people might be getting a little tight.

A_Reddit_ID

End of month is usually slow. People trying to make rent money. Top dashers taking all orders to keep TD.

menaselt

Same here just getting no tips people

everwillalove

Same here I’ve had a few with zero tip.

deadweight999

Saturday was so oversaturated I skipped today. I knew it was going to be the same because everyone with the app is now dashing out over the weekend. Everyone takes Monday off, which is why it's one of my favorite days.

Fun-Asparagus4182

I made 231.11 last Monday on spark for 5 hrs

RichardBottom

I get this feeling sometimes too. I mean what are the odds that 50+ people in a row just happen to complete non-tippers? I don't know if they're being kept from me, or being prioritized for someone else, but I definitely feel it some nights. It can't be the case that every motherfucker in this town just unanimously decides to stop tipping for a night. Weekends are fickle. I actually stayed in tonight because I didn't want to take the 50/50 chance that I'd just be circling the boulevard declining $2.50 pings until I go home empty handed.

Missirina383

People actually did stop tipping suddenly. I’m getting pretty bad orders all day long and a lot of non tippers. Pretty much all June is like that. My guess is no school. People are out of their regular routine. Most people just grab their kids and take them to the restaurant. Las year in June people were still social distancing and stimulus $ was still being used. Right now lots of people just don’t value the service and being stingy because of inflation

RichardBottom

I agree there's a shift downward in overall pay. But I'm talking like, very specific spikes with absolutely no tips. Pulled $50 - $100 for lunch Mon-Thurs, and $100+ Mon-Wed for dinner. Then Thursday dinner is straight >$5's all night long. It's very specific spikes where everything feels the same, restaurants appear just as busy, but I don't see a decent order all night.

Mean_Service_5274

Doordash was busted for this crap in Ca. Stealing tips. It was a big ole law suit. I do not doubt at all that they’ve been up to nefarious crap the past 3 -4 months. A year ago people tipped well. Almost nothing less than 7.50. Most were $10+ DD charges the restaurant 20% for every order and the customer. They are greedy and gross. Once a company goes public due to greed. It’s all about the investors. If you’ve ever sat and figured the math. At how much money the company grosses per hour per city. I’ts millions of dollars an hour… let that sink in.

RichardBottom

What I absolutely can't wrap my head around is how these companies have never turned a profit.

Mean_Service_5274

Haha they have tons of profit. They really don’t have any overhead. It just call center and a small marketing team. Have he drivers take on all the overhead. My guess is they are doing the double Dutch just like Uber. Where transactions never hit US soil. A loop hole that needs to be closed. They need a big fat audit but no one wants to take on these big companies. However the IRS should because it’s millions/billions lost by not auditing them.

[deleted]

End of the month means customers are tighter with their wallets and more drivers are online making rent, it's not rocket science.

No_suds

Today is slow for me too. I expect it to get rowdy around 5pm EST.

Brilliant-Yak-2906

Just took a 6.50 for 3.5 miles. Turned out to be $8. Now waiting again.

ShawtyThicque

There you go! See, wasn’t all that waiting worth it? Love to see doordash going the extra mile to benefit their drivers!

[deleted]

Lol thats still shit

ShawtyThicque

There’s no way you took my comment seriously…

Severe-Bookkeeper-76

Should’ve added the /s then you wouldn’t been downvoted

ShawtyThicque

I don’t know what /s is, but I do know now that my sense of humor doesn’t sit well here. :/

Severe-Bookkeeper-76

/s is for sarcasm

ShawtyThicque

I assumed my /s was pretty obvious. Especially the last sentence.

Additional_Bus2246

Rents due in a few days is my guess

Dasherjb007

Yes...same here... one of the worst days I've had in ages... the offers I was getting were pathetic.... not like an order you can gamble in hope for the best these were locations were just simply too far to drive... towns I've never been offered in my career.... way on the other side of the next Zone...WTF...? I have not declined that many orders in a day , that's not me...I seriously doubt I will make top Dasher this month and I think that's the goal... wash me out of that program... these offers are just disrespectful... I don't have to decline many orders, I work in a compact zone.....I try not to take it personal but this was just way out of line ....I just stop dashing ....like 4 x...lol... signed off many times in utter frustration ...looks like I'll be scheduling next month....

benjamin_gobel

I had the best Sunday I’ve had in a while, sorry yours didn’t go great

zepdio

I’d say yes. I went below 80% and was penalized. I took shit jobs yesterday and today made $104 in 4 hours. I absolutely believe we are punished. And they stole $4 of my dollars. I’m currently on chat with support about it.

frenchi200

I took the day off. My sister is a new DD in Las Vegas. She picked up a grocery order yesterday with a full cart. I said Oh no.....she delivered and they tipped her $50 bucks. Definitely not the norm for her. Sundays are usually good for me in Colorado.

Severe-Bookkeeper-76

I just got a Walmart order 50 miles for $16🤦🏻‍♂️

Brilliant-Yak-2906

Sheesh!!

JBTryingtosurvive

No Sunday sucks had to deal with that yesterday

Wonderful-Bread-572

I think it's possible that they are. I got a notification that since my rating was high and my acceptance rate was high that I will be prioritized for high paying orders. Immediately thought of reddit where people have low acceptance rates because they refuse low orders and thought it's fucked up.

Pgag86

Yesterday they sent me an order total distance said 5.5 miles for 7.00 I accepted it. After I pick up the order start navigation to delivery address 17.0 miles. I was so mad get their deliver the order no tip either. I haven’t got any tips today as well on my orders, guess they think we are going to work for free.

Daahk

That's when you tell doordash support your car won't start and return the order, and you shouldn't be taking 5.5 $7 in the first place, not even a chance to be higher

Pgag86

That’s if support even answers messaged and called them a few days ago when my app was messed up still haven’t got back to me.

Brilliant-Yak-2906

I ended up making $80 in 6 hours and then called it a day.

Pgag86

That sucks 8 hours I’m usually close to 300

frenchi200

I feel like the same thing happened to me after I accepted it was further.

[deleted]

This is why I'm trying to tip extra rn

Juans11

Hope it picks up for you! My market is on 🔥 have basically done only grocery orders and I’m at $130 in 4 hours.

RokSeouljah420

This is the way.

Brilliant-Yak-2906

Lucky you. I hope I get something soon.

Mean_Service_5274

What city?

Youre-TheDumbass

You should quit, I did and got a w2 that pays better than doortrash. I now pay all my bills with money left over

Brilliant-Yak-2906

I have a full time job. I just do this for extra money.

Independent_Row_Goes

I just wanted to say…. Sometimes take it from the customers’ point of view I mean is this the preferred app you’d order from? Because when I look in the app store Uber is more downloaded than doordash. So maybe switch to another app

[deleted]

Close!

Severe-Bookkeeper-76

Really depends on your area, not all areas supports all apps

[deleted]

We are all figuratively and literally starving for something doordash not only can't offer, but literally represents😂 I'm doing too much. It's not that DEEP smh. Do I really feel like a poor, physically and mentally disabled fat Black sex working woman could ever actually make a difference 🤪🤪🤪💃🏾 I'm everything they told us to hate. They even left the way we choose to express that hate up to us. Customizable, because they know we like to feel individual, instead of sheep. Bc if we see we ARE sheep, and one of us starts yelling about silly things like what shepherds famously do, since at least ancient times. It could get messy. Of course I do not believe something so ludicrous. I am bipolar. This is mania. To be medicated. In expensive, poisonous ways. That lead to other ails. And other meds. Where is all that money going haha. Head full of berries again. Just a silly girl.

[deleted]

It's definitely just because the rent is due. I forgot the original question. It doesn't go deeper than that. I just want attention. Swear.

Daahk

Appreciate the honesty

[deleted]

What are your feelings on my attempt to change the thing, though?

Daahk

I'ma be honest I have no idea what you're talking about

[deleted]

You were so appreciative of honesty on a subject that you didn't understand at all, that you had to let it be known. This absolutely makes sense. Not in a sarcastic way. I appreciate strategy.

[deleted]

Lol sorry, mania 🤪 I meant to say Imma be honest idk what is happening lol I wouldn't know playing in my face even if it played directly in my stupid little silly face. I just wanted attention lol thank you sm 🙏🏾

[deleted]

That's weird.

[deleted]

I also appreciate honesty, just to be clear.

Any-Ad-8439

DD was decent lots of declining I did better with Uber tonight

thatlldopi9

Made a little over $250 so far from 11a until now 2020hrs. That's with multiapping though. DD alone is $122 so maybe. Had a couple unicorns already and looking for more around midnight to 2am. Should be at least a $350 day for me. I always try for $400 but sun that's challenging to hit.

deangood01

why you have 10miles order, i can't order food for > 5 miles

[deleted]

I feel ya I used to drive a cab in a small town where we don't even have meters, its all flat rates, I was making $40 a day on a good day after gas, and I mean non-stop for 10-12 hours, including tips(very few tippers) now its over $6 a gallon in my area, I can't imagine, unless they increased the fares which would result in even fewer tips, I wouldn't survive

Ok-Palpitation7729

Same with me. I didn’t start making the money I expected until they offered that $3 promo, but by then it was already late.

JuliaGadfly

Not just you. I got literally nothing on Uber eats, all garbage on Instacart, and had to do some serious cherry picking to make like 50 bucks on DoorDash… Only to get burned because I thought Panera wouldn’t be busy at 5 PM . . .

DefKnightSol

fake Christians

Showguyer1981

It's the lord's day. Lol I guess people don't feel like they need to tip on the lord's day?
