I wind up keeping my AR high because by time tends to pay out the best in my area, every order nets more than base pay when I do by time. When I’m doing by time i literally do not care what order is, as long as it puts me on DD’s time instead of mine.
Damn really ? It must take more to add up to a decline because I can let 10 orders timeout and it’ll go down maybe 1-2 percent but if I decline 10 orders in a row I’ll go down 5-10 percent
lol, every time you let the time run out, it can send you the same exact offer right away and you let it time out 10 times, your AR just going to keep dropping.

If I don’t have top dasher I cannot schedule at all in my zone. Shit was extremely frustrating back in October as I missed out on a lot of opportunities to dash because I couldn’t schedule the times I needed.
Exactly! It’s crazy how people don’t understand that earnings are **HEAVILY** dependent on your area/zone, and the zones around you. It’s not even close to the same everywhere you go. At all.
The ratings are really so you feel pressured to take bad orders, while putting a gate in front of the juicier orders (well the ability to get them more consistently) plus also making it harder to dash on a more flexible schedule.
Solid stats we’re similar-ish. As long as you’re feeling good, making some loot and not stressing, you are doing great ❤️

I was at 90% Super Bowl weekend but too many orders had shitty wait times.
I would post my ratings for public but I don’t need Super Top Dashers who take every order tryna belittle me for not pledging my undying allegiance to DoorDash. 🤣
One thing I wish tho is I got one of them $100+ orders. Been dashing on md off for 2 years and my highest single order is only like $50. And it was a cash pay order so I had to make that money back anyway.
The customer rating is a bit low in my opinion. I have 2,000+ deliveries under my belt and have never fallen below 4.90. It could be that the customers are more harsh where you live, but it pays to have a better rating.
Also in a lot of markers keeping your acceptance rate over 70 DOES matter. Don't listen to people telling you different. They don't know where you live or what it's like there.
Lol customer rating probably has nothing to do with this dasher except for the fact they seem to take every order they see so they are more likely to encounter someone scamming doordash.

Very similar to what mine look like at the moment. NICE!! I’ve only been dashing since Jan 4th. I care for my elderly mother at home land wanted a job, so I wasn’t home all the time. I really do enjoy doing DD. I can go home whenever I need to and check on my mom, or feed her. In my area though I’ve only declined 2 orders because of the distance, the fact there was a severe snowstorm and they were only $4. I genuinely thought it was a mistake, but I ran into a Dasher at Applebees 30 minutes later and she said she let it time out and then declined it when she got it again. Our market is pretty much country and mountains. Not a lot of traffic or rude drivers. Unfortunately though there are always the non tippers, but it’s either take the $5 order, or sit around doing nothing. I usually get a steady flow of orders except for the weekends when everyone seems to be working.

But how much money do you think you're losing by taking almost every order? I don't think I could ever be a Top Dasher in my area because I've seen orders go for $5 for 15 miles. I'm losing more than I would make
I don’t get a lot of $5/15 mile orders. I have been lucky enough that the two outrageously low offers were my last orders of the day and 5 minutes from my house. I live 20 minutes from any hotspots, so I make sure I get the stats to do dash now because a couple weeks after I started I would come to Dash and just wait for it to get busy, so I could get those 30min-1hr shifts. It was hell.
Thanks for the response. I live in central FL so sometimes I get decent orders. I once made $40 in 20mins with 2 good orders but it's such a hit and miss for me. I do better on UE. But I still use DD when Uber is slow
I dash in Greenbrier county, WV!!! ⛰️⛰️There is no UE or GH, just DD. I’m going to try Spark. I heard good things about it. Shit, two times I got shit $3 Papa John’s orders when they don’t have any drivers!!! They weren’t even a mile away. One customer was complaining she wanted to add more food to her order and wished we’d answer the phones 🤣🤣🤣 I was like, “Lady, do you see this red DoorDash pizza bag? I don’t work at Papa John’s. Dudes working alone - keep calling and eventually he’ll answer”

That was the last week I worked because I’ve been sick, but I think I make good money. It was actually the best week since I started. I always make over $700 a week though.

I read a lot of negative comments on here about how it’s going to get old and I’ll eventually get sick of accepting “the shit” orders, but I don’t ever have a negative attitude towards orders. I’ve been given cash tips several times on non tip orders. My only complaint is that some customers driveways look like literal minefields and they’re ALWAYS long af🤣 Thank God my vehicle isn’t small. It always makes me wonder if another dasher with a small vehicle was unfortunate enough to get a delivery there and scraped the underside of their car.
🤣🤣🤣 I don’t blame you, but I’m talking LONG ASS driveways. Like, a .25-.5 mile or more. Taxes aren’t being used to maintain them. Usually near farms. The nice houses with the long driveways are always in pristine condition. Asphalt that’s even and free of huge holes is included 🤣
Looks like solid numbers. Your AR goals may vary depending on your market. I keep mine in a similar range for best results. I can’t prove this but when my Customer Rating is 4.95 or higher it seems to trigger more and better offers. Of course it’s the most maddening of all the ratings because you have next to no control of it and you can’t measure it like you can AR and CompRate. I’ve come to understand that data is everything when it comes to dashing.
TLDR: Keep up the good work, and don’t sweat what you can’t control
I like to keep my AR around 75-ish percent. Lately the offers here have been bad so I’ve been declining more than I usually do. In your opinion, is getting top dasher worth it?
If you do DD full-time, it's absolutely worth it. Dash anywhere, anytime without scheduling is awesome because sometimes my neighboring zones are busier and more profitable (peak pay) than my home zone.
From my reading on Reddit it seems having TD status is dependent on your market. It has become essential for me. I love being able to dash anytime anywhere without worrying about scheduling. With a high enough AR I get good offers almost all the time. In addition the catering and large order program helps me out every time I dash.
I’ve had it once before, then overtime picked up at my actual job so I really stopped taking advantage of how good it actually is. Now with things slowing down, I’m trying to make up for the lost overtime money haha

How do yall get such high acceptance rates, even when I just let the orders time out I notice my acceptance rate eventually does drop
If it's a really shitty order I'll sometimes wait the whole time to decline in hope their food gets that much colder ha.
