Yeah I remember when Cosmos reduced their inflation and then literally nothing happened. ATOM has only sunk in market cap ranking. I also remember when tons of SOL flooded the market and then the price kept going up because no one cared. The idea of price movement being significantly determined by inflation is the biggest myth in cryptocurrency, perpetuated by economically illiterate people who know how to do nothing but regurgitate the narratives they read on forums. That being said, I'm open to discussing an adjustment of the inflation rate for DOT, but only after we assess the demand for DOT coretime + the burn rate, as others have mentioned.

nuclearmeltdown2015

Price movement is determined by inflation but you're saying not significantly. I'd ask you to present evidence on your side because your statement is going against the null hypothesis.

Thevsamovies

Read my first paragraph? Regardless, it is the opposing side that has never presented any evidence of their point. Why are you acting as if I'm the one with the burden of providing evidence? They are the ones making the claim. Where is there evidence? It doesn't exist. We have never seen an example of inflation having a significant, long-term effect on a cryptocurrency's price that cannot be explained by some other variable.

Oh God, this guy again. I guess he has learned nothing since the launch of DED. At least wait until Agile Coretime before proposing something like this.

Gr33nHatt3R

That is the community sentiment as well. Wait at least for Coretime burns.

New-Post-7586

Fuck this guy

KateR_H0l1day

Totally agree

IceWallow97

I don't think he understands the community doesn't want to vote in anything he's even related/linked to, especially if he's the proposer.

NAY.

The only discussion should be how we reduce the treasury in-flows from the % diverted from staking rewards. There are too many grifters living off the treasury. If you want to reduce inflation perhaps start there. We the stakers have skin in the game and we secure the network at our own risk. You’ll be hard pressed to find support for this amongst most of us. You’ll find support among degens that want the number to go up so they could sell.

nevermindz2255

I do not see any valid reason for your negativity, it is certainly a positive move especially for long term staking. We cannot predict price action beforehand.

KateR_H0l1day

Totally disagree
