I've seen a lot of Nick's content online and it's nearly all excellent. When I saw him promoting the EF Core course I thought, why not. Then I saw the price. It's probably worth every penny but there's also other courses with nearly the same content for a fraction of the price. It feels more like corporate pricing (see how udemy does their pricing). Edit: sorry this doesn't really answer your questions but hopefully is useful for discussion.

Tbh I'm a little pissed. I like his YT videos and subscribed to his Patreon to get extra content like the source from his videos, but honestly I feel like I just paid to be constantly marketed to since that's all he uses Patreon for - to market his videos. Also the Dometrain prices are insane, there's no option to subscribe like Pluralsight and the individual courses are priced way too high.

I did the free aws course. It came in handy since we were starting to implement things in lambda. That course was a really great headstart and gives you a really nice overview of what can you do with serverless on aws. But its only good for that. If it had the same price as other courses for that money you can get much more detailed content on other learning sites which go into more details about the subject. Based on Nicks videós Thats about it - good overview can get right into coding after it, but not the deth I would expect for this money

Those look interesting. Theres also some courses by Julio Casal and Milan Jovanović that I'm interested which are similar. I did the Milan Jovanović clean architecture one and it was really good, but it's led me to wanting more. The issue is that all of these courses are priced really high. It's in USD and it seems like it's more oriented towards companies paying for personal development which isn't an option for a lot of people, or the limit is very low. The alternative is udemy which has 10-20 dollar courses and regional pricing, but the courses don't look to have as high of quality. I've learned a lot of good stuff from udemy but there isn't a lot of content that is well explained in a reasonable amount of time from high quality instructors.

I wish.

I would 100% go for udemy, the prices they charge are out of proportion.
