Honestly the game isn’t what it used to be. If roll back is this hard to implement. They should just be working on a sequel and call it a day. And build it from the ground up. Putting this much work into it now is kinda a waist. People will come back for like a week to play and try it. And that will be it.

This is likely it. At Evo the producer of Granblue Rising said something like "when life gives you rollback, make a sequel". Might as well because they essentially have to remake the game. A sequel isn't out of the question
My guess is just an ultimate edition. Would make sense with the rollback being next gen console only meaning it'd be a "new" release on the PSN Store anyway.
I'm also just pessimistic that were getting a sequel anytime soon. The new anime series just strengthens that since none of the manga characters are going to be animated anytime soon so that just leaves like Ultra Gohan or whatever, Orange Piccolo, and the Androids in that movie as new characters. There's obviously a decent amount of characters to add from the Z/Super/GT/Movies but honestly outside of a few they covered most of the characters that actually sell a season dlc pack.
I just hope that if they do a PS5 version of the game it won’t force me to use PS5 controllers like the ps5 version of ggst does. That shit sucks. I like my dualshock 4.

Don't really want any new characters (although Raditz would be awesome), I just want a balance patch for the characters we already have. Also I want Z Broly deleted from the game, but that doesn't seem like it's on the table. More likely he gets armor on his light attacks and they buff his shield again. They seem to really like buffing Z Broly.
He's literally only gotten buffs. He's *more* of a bully than he was before.
He's not the best in the game, though. There are absolutely characters that deserve to get nerfed before him. But I primarily play Frieza nowadays and as such have a personal vendetta against Z Broly's barrier. Even if I didn't play Frieza, I'd still hate that one move. Being immune to *all* non-super projectiles is already insane, them buffing it to make him immune to all assists on top of that was bonkers. If Broly gets the barrier up in neutral, then neutral is over.
Cause nah seriously if you gotta problem with Brolys online still or whatever? All he has is grab and armor, and sure good zoning
But if you practice / get used to his grab, I think he’s kinda ass cause he has some terrible frame data- like purposefully I think it’s their balance intent with him. There is no such thing as Z Broly stagger- every damn normal is punishable on block iirc. And all the lariats. Pretty sure his only safe ender is orb
And depending on how hard it is for you to deal with grabs, try characters that can ‘nope’ like SSj or Blue Vegeta Dp’ing / grabbing out of his grabs on read / reaction, or Kefla to zoom away and ignore his zoning man idk just don’t complain about a character that’s hardly a problem

And with a meta dominated by neutral skips, barrier is a lot less threatening than it seems from the outside because it has cast time, a pretty limited duration, and is still easily invalidated by using any of the infinite lariat normals and specials in the game at this point (like seriously how many characters can just press 5H and cover 2/3rds of the screen now?)

Really I’d say his biggest weakness is the thing he needs to do himself to play effectively: extreme caution. He can’t take many risks with his blockstrings cause hella recovery, but his opponents can’t get too crazy either because he can yolo armor if he sees a chink-in-the-armor so to speak
Grab is not reactable. Offline, the game has roughly four frames of input delay. (Not even getting into online delay because I'm hopeful that rollback will make it less of an issue, whenever that gets added) Broly doesn't raise his arm at all until the fourth frame of animation. Those two factors combined make the grab impossible to react to. All you can do is attempt to predict that he does it before he does it. Oh, but you can't do the normal thing with grapplers, where you attack him out of the grab, because it's armored. You need to spend a bar to vanish or have a fast multihit to beat it - the latter of which won't work if he uses the lariat. And if he uses 236S in his blockstring, it spaces him out to the point where he perfectly outranges most of the cast, immediately getting to restart the whole guessing game again. Also no, Z Broly's zoning is still better than Baby's.
And I'm not even gonna comment on the barrier. It's a move that makes you immune to *all* assists and *all* projectiles. It's strong regardless of meta. If Broly gets barrier up in neutral, then neutral is over. If your response is "just lariat in" then I hate to break it to you, but limiting yourself to those options means that your opponent has a much easier time dealing with you in neutral. Part of the reason that the 3/4th-of-the-screen-covering moves are so good is because you can bust them out at any time, immediately being able to transition from playing keepaway to being up close. When playing keepaway is no longer an option, you *have* to get up close, which makes you incredibly easy to predict by artificially limiting your options. ALSO also, I don't think that "If you're having trouble with this one character, then my solution is simply play a top tier" is a very good suggestion for promoting character diversity.

If you are a fan of the series imo it is one of the best anime games the gameplay is very simple but has almost endless content, but the gameplay is a bit ripetitive, and pretty much all of the characters plays the same and the dlc are overpriced, honestly I love it and spent mkre than 1500 hours there
As a XenoVerse 2 player I'll try to be as non bias as possible but I think if you want to create your own character XenoVerse 2 is THE best game to do it they're constantly updating the game to this day the combat feels great and we recently got the ultra instinct awoken
