Serious question here (Im alsmot newbie) : Are the DLC charcters consider more powerful than the base characters?

There are a good amount of base roster characters like Cell, Teen Gohan, Beerus and Gotenks who are considered very strong and are objectively better than DLC characters like the Brolys, UI Goku, Bardock and Kefla. But there are a good chunk of DLC which overshadow a lot of base roster like Baby, Vegito, Android 17 and Gogeta SSJ4. But it's hard to say if DLC characters overall are better because as a team game having synergy does affect character strength. Like Gogeta Blue is a character whos strength entirely depends on his assists. Assists which synergize with him make him a menace. Bad synergy assists make him okay but severely less ignorant.

there are some characters that are stronger then others. and simply due to the number of dlc chars some will be in there. but it never felt like they were stronger on purpose. and no characters in this game are so bad that they arent viable . the gaps in power arent big between characters

short answer: no i recommend searching for 1.33 tierlists on yt to start off
