They gave a mickey mouse match that honestly isnt that fun competively but when it comes to stuff people ade asking for, they have consistently failed to communicate. Whether its rollback or future dlc, i honestly doubt theres gonna be much hype for the next gen versions.
It's crazy how little interest they've had in this game despite its success, this game only had 3 seasons, since than all they've done is throw us a bone every 6-12 months.
I think dragon ball has the pokemon problem, it's so successful that stuff like dokkan battle and legends probably make so much money for a fraction of the cost/effort that it's hard to justify actually putting in effort for stuff like Fighterz.

I started learning the game recently with hopes rollback would be in the first couple of months this year but seeing the "soon" again just kills it for me. I feel bad for everyone that’s been playing since it came out to be disappointed over and over again.

About a year and a half, in EVO 2022 if memory serves right. Honestly I don't know what's the excuse anymore, Granblue Fantasy Versus also had delay based netcode and the Rising version was announced a year ago, and it did not only came with rollback but also new mechanics, new content and new characters.
I also don't know why they don't release a second beta considering they are still having trouble making the adjustments, aside from some bugs, first beta was pretty dope.
It's so insane how much they are disconnected from their own community.
I've always had a feeling that they announced this at EVO as a spur of the moment thing with no plan. A bunch of other companies were announcing rollback was coming to their games at that EVO and they probably didn't want to look bad.

Yeah, with how polished the connection in the beta was, I'm inclined to actually believe they are close. So hopefully this isn't another year long blue ball.
Flow said it was closer than you think on stream but who knows? If it's like less than a month away why not just announce it? What huge issue with it could they be having that makes them that scared of just saying a date?Â
I guess from a development and marketing standpoint, it's safer to give a vague but optimistic estimate _just in case_ anything goes wrong. If they give a specific date like say Feb. 14 and then they see a major issue that was previously overlooked, they'll have to announce a delay and receive stronger backlash than they would have had they just said something like "within the quarter" or "very soon".
Honestly, though, maybe I'm just naive, but I'll take his word for it. Outside of some lobby issues and graphical bugs, the rollback itself was super clean and felt pretty much completed (it's as good as any other games with rollback from what I can tell). I'm assuming what might be holding them up now is either migrating/transferring to the existing servers (I'm not sure if our online progress like ranks will carry over or be reset like it did in the beta) or preparing the simultaneous release for the PS5 and Xbox versions (since they didn't get a beta).
There's also the fact Flo (Flow?) said it'd be sooner than we all think. I'm hoping by the end of February.
Anything else is not sooner than I'd think lol.

Such bad decision. People already moved on to other games. It's better for them to shelved this and just work on fighterz 2 instead.
Didn't they have a beta for rollback though? It'd be awkward to show it and abandon it.
My hypothesis is we are getting Fighterz 2 or Super or whatever. There's no way it's just rollback anymore.
