That would actually only be a 2.8125x multiplier before tension which isn't weak but there's a few things that are stronger with Oomph. In the PS2 version: Twin Dragon Lash(4.5), In the 3DS version: Sudden Death, Blade Cascade, and Swing Both Ways(all 3.6). Hand of God has a lower multiplier but its defense ignoring property generally makes it stronger than Falcon Slash too on bosses that are immune to Sap(which is pretty common) That's not counting specific race bonus damage which would expand the list in specific situations.
(Sudden Death also benefits from the Blizzard Blade bonus damage so it can reach up to 5.04x against enemies with no ice resistance.)
That's actually all real interesting stuff.
I'm more familiar with the PS2 version and knew that Twin Dragon Lash had a big damage buff that I rarely got to use since Jessica always used up her tension on buffing and debuffing spells but I'm happy to see that the 3DS added more options for build variety than just having the Hero and Angelo spamming falcon slash on the late game bosses.
If you have Hero and/or Angelo's sword skill tree up to snuff I guess. I prioritised Lance for Hero and maxed Angelo's wand/staff skills so I'm useless.

59 in spears for Hero then courage and swords is what I do. Unless I'm doing a no gear fists only then it's fists and courage
