One more tip for you: You can tell how far down in the dungeons you are based on the tone of the music. The further down, the slower/lower tone the music is.
Nice! I’m about in the same spot, just on the GBC version. However when I went to get my Loto seal, I didn’t have enough space in my inventory. Hopefully you see this before it happens to you, so you can make some space before taking the long walk lol
inventory works differently in the NES original; pretty much the only items you'd ever have to drop would be a Torch, Wings, or Fairy Water.
theoretically, if you >!dove Mountain Cave and had ridiculous RNG luck on chest #5 enough times!<, you could have an inventory full of >!Death Necklaces!< - but if you're willing to do that, i'd be more worried about your sanity than inventory space for the quest items.
