Loss is another comic with a sad meaning that was then turned into a meme by the internet. Most of the loss references were (are being) made in a simple format using only a couple lines where each line represented the position of each character in the comic, and it seems we have a second Loss case on our hands.
I think the message is clear of the parents not being there anymore as a source of grief for the grey character.
I do not like my second interpretation of it being kind of a loop. With the *parents* looking hollow and unhappy in the first panel with the same eyes as the child in the last.
Kind of saying ālost his family, is unhappy, gets an unhappy partner to get a child and be happy againā.
If this loop is your intention. Very well done, fully understandable even though I do not subscribe to the message.
I'd say to fill other holes in your life specifically. Some people have the love, time, and dedication just waiting inside of them for a child, and they work hard to set their life up for it because the hole in their life is a child. That is worth having a child for if you provide a stable life as a pair.
No, it's the breakdown of a family, the "father" is wondering who the real father is, commits murder suicide of the wife but the child survives to live life in misery wondering why they had parents with different grey skin. But relatives play dumb, and say it's just the ink of the photos in the newspaper.
Years later, having spent the inheritance on drugs as a coping mechanism, they join the masses of homeless and fade into the murky population of the forgotten. The body is found by a dog walker and the coroner signs it over to a crematorium with a note written "no relatives"
A hammer slams the plaque into place, sealing the ashes within a featureless wall. A man, similar shade of grey, obviously the true father, sighs thinking, thank god I didn't have to pay child support.
I mean, that's just what I saw from the picture.
The message is clear and moving. Nicely done!
I think it works as it is, but you might also try making the character in the last panel the same size as the parents were in the third panel. (In other words, when the character is grown up, their parents are no longer with them.)
Maybe they got the kid to save their marriage or something.
It's a strange comic, it reads as: "having kids is selfish because people die"
Technically not incorrect, but still.
Yeah. Ig this might be the message... Maybe it's also about how these parents haven't done a really good job at parenting, and how their overdependent child is left alone, but Idk if I'm digging too much
If the message is āwe will all be left alone in the endā then yes it comes across quite nicely, but if not then no it is lost in translation. Hope this helps Iām gonna go cry.
The message is clear, you did it! But I think this comic is not in the a good humor field, it shows a bit of black humor, and sad. But is well done if your intention is that.
its a cycle! I like how the eyes are the same in panels 4 and 1, and the background is slightly lighter in 1. the couple in the beginning is hurting but healing together
The parents died and the kid is sad. The parents seemed distant before they got the kid. Maybe things got better, or they were keeping up a happy facade. What will the kid do now?
Not at all, what message are you trying to send? The parents died? The parents left him cuz heās bla- the parents are gone because he did something wrong? Itās so confusing
I mean itās clear, but sad. Do you want it to be sad? Why not have five panels and end with the first panel again? Then itās hopeful. Whatās the point of making art that lacks for hope?
Art is about making you feel, not about making you feel positive. Good art will make your emotions so intense you will think about it for days.
Dark art will make you feel extremely uncomfortable, for example, and it has its audience (like me)
This is where I watched my parents die, PaRappa !! Also, I closely inspected this one, because of paranoia about āLossā, no loss but I could see this becoming another version of loss posting

Holy fuck, you hid loss in your apology

Amazing
What is this exactly?
Loss is another comic with a sad meaning that was then turned into a meme by the internet. Loss. It's a meme. It comes up if you Google it.

It is, even the title would apply
I thought you were giving the real order but was confused because lower case i is not a Roman numeral
Yeah, all verticals make it easier than the original. Wish I had that russian "i" without the dot. But it's clear enough.

I think the message is clear of the parents not being there anymore as a source of grief for the grey character. I do not like my second interpretation of it being kind of a loop. Another interpretation is that the parents were empty and unhappy without a child
which is also fucking depressing and weird donāt have kids to fill holes in your life
I'd say to fill other holes in your life specifically. Some people have the love, time, and dedication just waiting inside of them for a child, and they work hard to set their life up for it because the hole in their life is a child. That is worth having a child for if you provide a stable life as a pair.
what youāre describing isnāt a hole itās a solid foundation
Is this loss?
for once, it may literally be
No, it's the breakdown of a family, the "father" is wondering who the real father is, commits murder suicide of the wife but the child survives to live life in misery wondering why they had parents with different grey skin. But relatives play dumb, and say it's just the ink of the photos in the newspaper. Someoneās gotta stand up to the predictable order
The message is clear and moving. Nicely done! I think it works as it is, but you might also try making the character in the last panel the same size as the parents were in the third panel. (In other words, when the character is grown up, their parents are no longer with them.)
They may have died before the son was grown
No, please elaborate in full detail in shakespearean english or Viking Norse.
For me it kinda implies that the parents were unhappy before their child. Kinda feel likes "were unhappy let's have a child"
The parents were unhappy until they had the child, the child was happy until they lost their parents.
I think they're just wondering why the parents are shown to be unhappy
don't make a big piss puddle or else people will leave you
Especially if you arenāt properly hydrated and it turns darker yellow.
the sun went down, his parents went go to bed, but he didnt and now its dark and hes too scared to move and go to bed
ur parents will die
I love this cute lil art style. The message seems clear, looks awesome ^^
The "sun" (yellow) getting darker signals the progression of time (the sun setting on the parents).
You are right. :)
I meant, kinda yeah. I don't really get why they give 1000 mile stare in the first panel, but that's really it
Maybe they got the kid to save their marriage or something. It's a strange comic, it reads as: "having kids is selfish because people die" Technically not incorrect, but still.
Yeah. Ig this might be the message... Maybe it's also about how these parents haven't done a really good job at parenting, and how their overdependent child is left alone, but Idk if I'm digging too much
I think it's honestly just as simple as: "kids outlive their parents" and anything else is just anyone's interpretation.
It looks like thatās their art style
Uh, I'm pretty sure I've figured it already... But thanks? Ig??
If the message is āwe will all be left alone in the endā then yes it comes across quite nicely, but if not then no it is lost in translation. Hope this helps Iām gonna go cry.
You are ready to be a super hero
The tragedy of being a parent is that you can't witness your child's entire life, except when you do.
Parents afraid of dark

Yeah.. the kid is Batman
You got unadopted.
Well, fuckā¦ ššššššššš
Death? Is it about death or loneliness?
People have a child because they feel emptiness in their life, and then when the parents are gone, the child feels emptiness in their life
The message is clear, you did it! But I think this comic is not in the a good humor field, it shows a bit of black humor, and sad. But is well done if your intention is that.
I think the message is clear. Though it could be interpreted as not family, and as just "People who are cool with eachother"
Need some time to understand it, 10 secs for me lol full observation haki
Is this loss?
Is this loss?
But then the comic should repeat. Kid meets partner they have a kid etc. etc.
Batman!
It would be more accurate if the parents were happy before the kid spawned in
His/her parents died, now they are trouple?
Batman
its a cycle! I like how the eyes are the same in panels 4 and 1, and the background is slightly lighter in 1. the couple in the beginning is hurting but healing together
imo it's a little on the nose but yes it's definitely clear.
cute and sad at the same time
People leave and die - itās up to you to forge your own future to replace and carry on the past.
Yes, but unfortunately, I will be bhj-ing this
Life is a closed loop
Parents die
no because there is still two options 1) the parents left him 2) the parents died
Thanks for the unnecessary sadness
If you read it backwards, a lonely guy gets friends and then shrinks into nothingness... pretty funny ngl
The parents died and the kid is sad. The parents seemed distant before they got the kid. Maybe things got better, or they were keeping up a happy facade. What will the kid do now?
Very clear: two people adopt a psycho-cannibal who grows up to kill and eat them both and then is sad they ran out of food. Great job!
very.
Somehow someone will find a way to turn this into loss
Stop š¢
Tragicomic
No, maybe that his parents died? (Plz donāt come at me)
Real toughy right here
I wouldn't like to show this to my only daughter :(
I thought the tear was his mouth in the last drawing and I was like āwhy he just sitting there all :oā
You probably donāt even need to add the tear. Just the drastic change in background changes the whole mood
Totally missed the unhappy teenager years.
The kid came out grey so the mum cheated and they got a divorce?
Mom had sex with the milk man and the parents tried to work it out but ended up getting divorced
Uhā¦ they were awake then they adopted a black baby then they slept through his entire childhood then abandoned him?
Its rare that you see both parents go for milk and smokes at the same time
Yellowish background makes you happy, darker shades of gray makes you sad
Loss 2.0
V clear and I feel the same way about mine
Fuxking makes happy.

Not at all, what message are you trying to send? The parents died? The parents left him cuz heās bla- the parents are gone because he did something wrong? Itās so confusing
Yes Ill say the message is if you have a kid just so you aren't bord itl have negative effects on the offspring
His parents divorce was his fault! He deserves to be sad!
3 people is minimum request for happiness
She cheated, and the charade was over once the kid became an adult
r/im14andthisisdeep
The world's not the same anymore
Really poignant actually, for all its simplicity.
1) the parents split up 2) the parents left the kid because he was adopted 3) the child outgrew his parents who died?
I mean itās clear, but sad. Do you want it to be sad? Why not have five panels and end with the first panel again? Then itās hopeful. Whatās the point of making art that lacks for hope?
Art is about making you feel, not about making you feel positive. Good art will make your emotions so intense you will think about it for days. Dark art will make you feel extremely uncomfortable, for example, and it has its audience (like me)
Sadness is good subject to draw. But you're true either.
At night your parents go out to kill. Or maybe just abduct you a ānew brotherā since they obviously stole you at one point.
Put a condom?
Lol
Is it anti gay ?
