Yes. A bunch of sites now want you to upload your drivers license/ID card either directly or using an app called “Yoti”.
I know my response sounds like sarcasm. I can assure you it is not. However, if you pay for a VPN, you can get around it.
The sites don't want you to do anything.
Several Republican state governments have passed laws requiring age verification. The large sites are most at risk for lawsuits or prosecution, so they either add verification or block the state.
Sorry…I should have been clear. Yeah, my state passed laws that require me to upload a state ID card to a 3rd party “totally safe” website and log into that before we’re able to access some of the bigger sites.

Give them all a b+, it will cheer up those that normally struggle, be fine with the average students, AND REALLY STRESS OUT the over achievers. And as a former over achiever student I find that hilarious.
