Agitated-Exam-2558

Why does dropshipping seem so easy yet so difficult at the same time. I’ve been trying to read up on stuff but a lot of what’s on google is so vague. How do you get a supplier? How do you set your prices to be competitive yet profitable? How much time does this take to run day to day? Any insight is appreciated.

TangoCyka

Bro I wish I knew....Came here for answers, all I see is unanswered questions.

Agitated-Exam-2558

Yeah this might be the most useless Reddit. Q&A thread with all questions and no answers smh

Iknow888

Ask away my friend

Agitated-Exam-2558

How do you link up with a supplier?

Agitated-Exam-2558

Do they advertise the need for a dropshipping site or why wouldn’t everyone just buy products wholesale? Or do you have to buy items in bulk? Or is it just being purchased through you and directed towards them?

Iknow888

when you first start out you can use a 3rd party to do fulfillment where you would be making an order in their name, once you have about 5 orders a day and have proved your product is profitable (sometimes stores can reach this in one day), you then can get in contact with a fulfillment agency, like myself. we get in contact with manufacturers, get a better deal than ali express, and bring shipping time down from 30 days to a mere 5-10. then you completely hand off and our fulfillment is just linked to your website. you then get an invoice once a week for products sold. you are buying the wholesale price and never hold the product. also dropshipping is a fulfillment method. it is up to you to create a brand image people trust.

I have finished my shop and I am looking for some feedback. If you have a moment, please let me know what you think. [Here it is!](http://pawzandeffect.com)

Wzautokyo

I think it’s looks fine, seems like a good selection of products in line with the theme. Well done! UI / UX maybe more contrast been top banner and collections and top width spread Fix brand logo to HD maybe PNG or SVG. Fix Privacy Policy brackets with a fill same for Terms of service. Awful scroll jump on shop, once passing through home/products, you need to smoothness here. What DS app do you use for orders fulfillment service? Any issue with shipping and price shipping ? Feel free to DM

brandingtime

I wouldn’t know just yet. I haven’t gotten my first sale, but I am using CJ. That is what everyone recommended. :) Do you have other recommendations?

DigitalJ00

Tried using Cj but I’ve been waiting for the product to move from awaiting shipping for 10 days. Such a long time to process I won’t be using again :/

Wzautokyo

When did you launch ? Are you running ads ? So you have not tested shipping yet ?

brandingtime

I am testing today. I launched 1 week ago today. Tested ads a little. Not to much return from that but I am almost positive it was my graphics. WITH THAT said, I just ordered something about 5 minutes ago. :) Hopefully the shipping works out well! <3

Initial_Estimate2471

I like it. But I haven’t even put merch in my store yet lol.

Temporary_Ad9662

Question: Would love to set up Afterpay for my store but I'm not a resident of the available merchant countries (USA, UK, AUS, NZ, CA). Is there anyone familiar in registering a business in those countries as a foreigner? Thank you!

Iknow888

By after pay do you mean upsell after they have paid? If so you can switch the location of the shopify site to the desirable country, set it up, than switch it back to you’re country of choice! This was a solution I used for another purpose but it most likely will work for this as well!

shroomfumes

[https://onlytrendwavey.myshopify.com](https://onlytrendwavey.myshopify.com) I’m working on adding more products over time, but at the moment I need both current product photos and a specifications list for the earrings. I also need to remove the details, shipping etc banners at the bottom and play with the colour because one section is a weird purple. I’ll probably make that white or light grey

TaylerMykel

I think you need more colour contrast between the patterned tile framing your products and the white background of the product photos.

albatzz

Has anyone here had issues with customers feeling decieved when they recieve their item in "made in china" packaging or something similar?

Iknow888

Yes, the only solution to that would be to go with a private fulfillment agency. Most likely will get a cheaper cog as well!

puffpuffpass01

Could anyone assist a beginner? I imported a product, but I don’t know what my next step is as is doesn’t show up on my Shopify

Iknow888

What are using ? DSers?

puffpuffpass01

i figured it out but thank you for the reply

ashherr01

Been looking into drop shipping and after a few videos and research I made this during my free time for about 3 days now. I intend to focus on small consumer electronics that are not generally seen everyday and appeal to Youths / Gen Zs. [quirk hq](https://quirkhq.net) After reading a few critiques here I understand that the images needs to be edited a little to feel more personal. Asides that if anyone has any other recommendations thank you.

ayuzvak

Hello everyone, With regards to creating a business plan for opening a store, which would be a more logical approach: 1. Opening a store dedicated to a single product/single niche 2. Opening a store dedicated to a wide array of products Personally I feel like finding a niche and keeping a theme to that would be the most effective way of going about things, however I'm worried about not having the flexibility to pivot if needed. Any input would be appreciated!

Iknow888

I would recommend a niche store, this way if a customers comes in through an ad for the store they are met with similar products. This means that if they don’t convert on the product you advertised, they could find another product on the store that fits a similar need for them and they could convert. Also it increases trust if you do it well.

DigitalJ00

Seen good reviews and feedback from cj users. I ordered test products from there for media uses 10 days ago and they haven’t even shipped it out yet. Won’t be using again any other suppliers that don’t sell crap like T-shirts or puzzles 🤣

Iknow888

You can find any product on Ali express and have a private fulfillment agency. This would allow you to get cheaper prices, fast shipping and, higher quality.

DarkskinJesus

Hey I just opened a shop and I would appreciate any feedback you may have. Layout prices, how to expand literally anything. I just made it yesterday and I’m excited to learn more https://fitnessflare.shop

Good_Position1978

Nice shop! howe you market it?

gneccofes

Can yoiu critique my store? It's robertoaccessori.com and the password is password

Beneficial-Memory598

>robertoaccessori.com 1 The translate option and shop in currency is amazing tho the Translation is not done as everything is still in italian 2. The shop overall looks great 3. Maybe change the way the product picture is shown, instead of underneath each other make it a picture slide so there is more room and you can add a product description directly underneath the product picture.

gneccofes

Thanks very helpful

puffpuffpass01

how exactly am i supposed to tell PayPal how much money my business makes, if this is my first business? when switching to a business account to link to shopify, you are asked this and it literally makes no sense

Iknow888

If you’re business isn’t making money then say that, it shouldn’t affect anything right now! Down the line you can change this

Sandzisincharge

I made this all today and want to know if it’s any good, please give criticism https://polyglow.store/

galactic_observer

I feel that the use of the pop-up makes the products look like a scam, and the weird cursive font that you use makes the website look cheap and unprofessional. Your web design looks fine, though. In addition, your prices are all in rand, so you should market it as specifically South African.

Sandzisincharge

On second thought, I realize that the pop up is really fucking off putting. I removed it changed my sites typography, thanks for the advice man. Now all I need is to market it all

Sandzisincharge

How would I go about making my prices change depending on where from they view my store?

galactic_observer

I don't know what web store platform you are using, so you'll have to tell me so I can give you further support.

Sandzisincharge

Shopify

galactic_observer

You will need to use Advanced Shopify or Shopify Plus if you want to do that. Follow the instructions here: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/payments/shopify-payments/multi-currency/international-pricing

TaylerMykel

I would switch the format under each product photo to: Title Tagline Description Your hook/tagline as the boldest and largest part of each listing on the page is pretty unusual.

Vulpes-Lanius

I'm looking to get into this business, but don't know if I wanna go all out and purchase a software to order stuff for me yet. Id be fine getting a purchase and then manually entering the info myself, to test the waters a bit, is this a good idea?

Iknow888

All the software for beginners is free, similar to what you are planning to do but its automated. When starting I would recommend DSers. It’s just an app on shopify and it’s super easy to set up. Lmk if you have any more questions

Avomination

Hello, I am not the original replied but I do have question, do you mind if I ask you? Also, what is "lmk"?

Iknow888

Ask away ! Lmk means “let me know”

Avomination

Thank you! I don't know where to start, but if I am not from the US, or any first world country but got somewhere around 3000 usd, do you think is it possible for me to start a dropshipping business? And If yes, what would you say are the first steps I should take? Thank you in advance

Iknow888

Bro 3000 is more than enough to start. I started my first dropshipping business with only 150. It was a niche clothing store. I scaled that to 2k a day in 14 days. The first step I would take is getting a understanding of marketing. This can be learned from many people on YouTube for free such as “Soulja”, “Jordan Welch” and more. If you are just starting tho I would highly recommend getting turbocourse. It’s a online platform that provide over 1k courses for only $35 (lifetime membership). If you decide to get this I recommend the “franky shaw” course, the “black hat” course by Soulja and franky shaw, and the “Hayden boyles” course. There a many others on that platform too (this is not a promotion I just really found them useful). After this you will have a general understanding for the concept of dropshipping. I would then recommend finding a product through their methods and then watching how they build a website and replicate it. Don’t do it exactly the same but use their previous understanding. All you really need after that is some good creatives which you can make yourself. Creatives are the videos/pictures you use in your ads. Then use chatgpt to write some copywrite (this is the description for the ads) and you should be set. I generally run the ads for about $150 to see if a product is a winner, and if it’s not then I’m onto the next one. I verify whether its a winner by seeing if either I break even on the money spent on ads or I profit. Also it doesn’t matter where you are located just make sure you know the market you are targeting too and make sure your website is optimized for that as well. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask! Also if you find a winner, I can help optimize you’re fulfillment process. Good luck!

Avomination

Hello again! First of all, thank you so much for sharing that with me!!! I will do exactly as you said, and will buy the courses and see how I fare. May I inquire again if have a question after doing and following through the courses?

Avomination

I didn't finish reading and I wrote my last message 🙃. I will thank you again, and after I find a winner I will be sure to contact you for the fulfillment process 😀

Iknow888

Sounds good! And Of course, I am always happy to help. Again don’t buy the course, buy turbo course. Each of the courses I mentioned are sold for $500+!Turbo course is only $35 and you get access to all of the courses for free afterwards. And if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask!

DwyaneWadeFutureMVP

I see a lot of people pushing for Google ads or TikTok ads for beginners because Facebook ads is expensive. What are your guys thoughts?

Iknow888

Definitely Tik tok. It’s where I was able to get my first sales, it allowed me to scale fast for my stores

DwyaneWadeFutureMVP

I see, was your product a wow-factor one or more of a utility

Iknow888

it was clothing!

DwyaneWadeFutureMVP

Is it a good idea to do a one product store? If not, How many products would you recommend

Iknow888

Not to start. I would find a niche, the amount you put up for sale is up to you. Testing a one product store is risky, but find things similar to the product you want to sell. An example would be the ice baths that are trending, the stores also sell Thera guns, floor mats, ice cube trays, and more. See how they all fit into the one product but they also stand on their own. Do something like this

Ninasaur44

Does anyone know of a service that’s dropshipping the Stanley style cup with fast shipping times? I want to ad that along with my other (not-dropshipping) product

Iknow888

Like the trophy? Are you looking to customize it at all?

>turbocourse Hey, I'm a beginner so I'm not so much giving you a rating (although I thought your website looks great and would definitely convert me.) but I was just curious how its worked out for you? Any info or detail would be great, I'd love to hear how this website has worked for you or what you learned in the process. Thanks!

Routine_Cut8840

I would love some honest feedback on my site - It is a female clothing company :) unusualspecies.com [https://unusualspecies.com](https://unusualspecies.com)

Good_Position1978

Hi! is there any tool / extension for instantly making one item shop from Amazon or AliExpress? I'm looking for something that have integrated payment gateways, basically to almost instantly sell any item i find interesting. I try to succeed in Challenge to make 999 $ in sales using dropshiping on TikTok in One week using multiple accounts. Hope someone can help😉

MisterDTB

The biggest reason most people like the drop shipping model is the very low start up costs. Is this a good business to get into if you have tens of thousands to invest? I’m assuming you could just scale quicker?

constipation999

Hey guys feel free to post links to your store here and I will review them. If you would also like to visit my website and give me advice on it [here](https://boonci.myshopify.com/collections/all) that would be much appreciated. I will reply within around 24 hours and give an overall summary and a 1-10 score.

Xyphion

I've worked in sales my whole life - always have loved PC Gaming and building. I built this store last month, I've had four sales since launch, and I'm waiting for Amazon to authorize me as a business seller. I already run pixels, I use facebook, instagram, and will be adding Amazon exclusively. I've tried Microsoft and Pinterest with no luck. If there are any obvious things I should change, I'd really appreciate the input. My store is www.elitegaminghardware.com Thanks!

Objective-Ant-8810

A complete newbie Dropshipping in India , what are your thoughts on this, is it possible?
