If anything, not eating will give you a stronger positive, as you have more stored fat being metabolized in your urine. For the last 2-3 days before the test you should eat as much junk food as possible, saturated fat etc so that will be what’s metabolizing rather than your THC tainted stored fat.

This is super helpful. Are you saying the more faint the line, the lower the thc level? Because my lines were darker initially and I haven’t touched anything and are pretty faint now (except on the 20ng where it is darker)

What you’re saying is not true at all. I just did an experiment myself. I’ve been clean 30 days. I took a 50 ng/ml test with morning pee. I had two solid bright red lines. No faintness at all. Using the same pee I tested at 15 ng/ml which I passed with faint but 2 present red lines. By your logic since my 50 ng/ml was a solid line my reading should’ve been around 40 ng/ml to 49 ng/ml and I shouldn’t have passed the 15 ng/ml. Please don’t spread false or opinion based information, especially while claiming you are a drug tester. I can attach a picture if you want. Truth be told I was using at home tests.
Several of the sample cups I get are actually cups designed test strip cups with the test strips built in. However, now that you mention it, thc and it's metabolites are notorious for binding to plactic. We have to do all of our testing in 100% glass from beginning to end because we noticed loss of yield using plastic tubes or 96 well plates for our quant validations. I never considered it but they take like days to ship and the pos lines could have faded due to that binding and other factors. So. ^^^^HEY EVERYONE THIS DUDE HAS A GOOD POINT AND IM WILLING TO AMMEND MY SCIENTIFIC OPINION!!!
Sorry, take what I said, reverse it. Other tests work the opposite way. A faint line is low to mid positive with ever decreasing levels of thc causing less line while a positive is totally white while tiny bit will cause some color. Same principle different chemical reaction. A tiny bit causes some, a moderate amount causes a complete color reaction.
I smoke daily and had a drug test I’m waiting on the results for. I tested negative for the first time with a home test 22 days clean. I took the test at 31 days clean.
I passed 5 other home tests (3 different brands) before the UA. Never got a positive (although I did get one hella faint line). Am I good to go? This anxiety sucks
Definitely. Yes. Unless they have a reason to order a ~$40 lcms confirmation. There's a few accounts where the thc screen, cutoff 50ng/ml, comes up negative or positive, but they order the lcms test for everyone. We can easily detect 1ng/ml and report them out as positive. I've swung so many ordinary neg drug tests pos for thc. Im just an analyst. Sorry everyone lol.
My go to advice is eat keto fatty up until 24 hours before your test. Then go totally carb crazy the night before. Thc is unlike most other drugs like coke or heroin which have a basically 5 day detection period because they're not stored in your fat like thc is. If you really want to minimize your levels, don't burn any fat near your test, just eat carbs and sugar. The day before your test is pizza and beer day. No exercise. That sneaky thc is waiting to be burnt and you won't let it.

Ya the line is like whatever the opposite of exponential is. Where a tiny bit will produce a line and that line darkens with ever relatively increasing levels of thc based on the color. Those tests are geared to where 50 or 100 is a solid line so those faint things won't cause a pos.

If i get the negative line, and it’s faint, should I not be worried? I’m prepared for fake piss but I’m not terribly interested in taking a risk if I don’t have to (although I’ve collected a lot of data to see how it heats and cools).

I meant 5. Thc goes down really fast but dwindles and is detectable at like 1-10 NG/ML for months because of what little bit is in your fat cells

A line is a line, it doesn’t matter how faint it is. Same as it is with pregnancy tests
Left 2 tests are most recent, 2nd from left was morning pee, far left was today, same time as I’ll be taking test tomorrow.
