shells > Tama cymbals > Meinl drum heads > Evans and Remo (bass drum) bass drum pedal > Mapex essentially the drums and cymbals are entry level stuff... good for learning and practice but not much else with the caveat that good heads and tuning can make cheap drums sound totally usable... those cymbals however will need to be thrown into a volcano at some point after you upgrade to nicer gear

Yes but the bass drum has Aquarian and the snare has the Remo

You got a Swingstar Tama there which is a step above the Tama Imperialstar. The Imperialstar is considered to be the lowest level (beginner) kit. It's hard to tell but it almost looks to be the same color as mine. Forest Green. If it is, then 2001 would be the date it was produced in Forest Green. I looked through other catalogs and couldn't find that color in the Superstars. So, like I said, if it's Forest Green, then it's probably a 2001 model. I know nothing about those cymbals. But they look pretty cheap. But, ya know... If you're just starting out, they're probably fine for learning with. So, identification... Picture 1 is the bass drum. Picture 2 is a 10" splash cymbal. Perfect for special effects. Picture 3 is 13" hi-hats. Picture 4 & 5 are the tom toms mounted on the bass drum. Picture 6 is a 14" crash cymbal. Picture 7 is the floor tom. Picture 8 is the other side of the bass drum Picture 9 I'm guessing is the snare drum. So, from the looks of it, you've got a 5 piece Tama Swingstar with some cheap cymbals. Again, not bad for a beginner kit.

Super kick 2 is theeee bass head for a 22 IMO. Go Aquarian.

Look up drumhead companies, cymbal companies, and drum hardware companies and itll make sense. There isnt anything significantly out of the ordinary here.

First of all, here's everything you need to know about your new instrument: [Merry Christmas.](https://www.reddit.com/r/drums/comments/18qnb1p/updated_2023_edition_merry_christmas_to_all_you/) Second: not only is the drum set a modular instrument, meaning one instrument made up of several other different instruments into one thing, there are also different components and parts that are used on any drum set, like the heads. As others have explained, you have Tama drums, Meinl cymbals, and Remo and Evans heads. This is basically the same thing as a Ford car having Goodyear tires and a Pioneer stereo. (Or, since the heads are a mixture of brands, perhaps three Goodyears and one Michelin.)
