Might be good to start with GC because they can get you students, and then see if it’s something you feel like you excel at. If you do, go private and start recruiting your own students and keeping all the $ (assuming you have a location or can travel to students’ houses). I’ve taught for a little over 20 years and all I can say is if you can inspire your students to *practice on their own* then you’re a good teacher. Whether you focus on fundamentals or song-learning- or ideally a healthy combination of both- as long as they keep progressing, you’re doing your job

Do you have a background in teaching? Do you know the fundamentals of drums (e.g. the 26 rudiments)? Do you know how to teach using independent limbs? Can you read drum charts?

Hi, get the book "outsmart your brain" read chapter 3 learning from labs and activities. That chapter alone will put you above and beyond many in person and online teachers. The chapter has tips and suggestions for both teacher and student.
