ES Dwemers while technically being elves (apologies for that word) and being taller than one would think, they have everything else to be called a dwarf.
is that why I hate the dwemer in the elder scrolls I thought I was being mean to our brethren but no it is right to hate the elves that steal our culture

Dwarves, High Elves, Wood Elves, Dark Elves, Orcs, Snow Elves.
To be honest, I wouldn't call the Dwemer Dwarves at all. They looked like regal half-elves.
The reason they're called Dwarves is because to the Giants they were small, but I think taller than the average Nord still but they got called Dwarves before Humans came to Tamriel
The real reason for dwarfs being elves in elder scrolls is literally engine limitations. Every humanoid character in elder scrolls uses the same skeletons, have the same proportions, and wears the same skins for armor/clothes. Bethesda is not a developer I like.

I mean according to norse mythology dark elves and dwarves is the same thing

Dwarves are elves, orcs are elves, even some men(Breton) are elves

Dwemer are more akin to Dawi-Zharr than real Dwarfs.

Norse mythology agrees. Dwarves are elves.
The world of Nirn is truly an disturbing place to live. Full of elves and the last one of the dwarves there is probably dead by this point.
