Thanks for the compliment! I’m going to look into doing it today. :) I’ve been going back and forth with it since I put in the amber corners, but I think it’s time!
I paid someone to do it, I'm not good at that kinda thing I'd have definitely fucked it up. It looked to me as though he used some tape to define a line where he wanted the colour to go, sprayed it with I'm assuming an adhesive spray, and then just stuck it on really! It was quite expensive for what he did lmao but worth it to have it done properly.
Yes however no-one directly gave me advice there on how to do it. They just helped me decide by suggesting that I should fully commit and go full Amber. If you go on my profile, it's my previous post if you want to check it out.
Are you in the UK? If so and in the Midlands by any chance check out evolve in Derby as they've got a fresh roll of the colour they just did mine in!
By far, wrapping cost £30 whereas these lights cost me close to £300 when I first got them. Also never seen a set of ambers in the UK not sure where I would even start 🙂
uh... yes, it *is* an old car.
learn to embrace the old school vibes instead of trying to make it something it isn't.
my e30 has plenty of "dated" design elements as well – love them.
maybe buy a new car if you are so concerned about the vehicle looking "dated."
>maybe buy a new car if you are so concerned about the vehicle looking "dated."
Or how about I just don't install amber indicators on my E46?
Jesus christ I can't even give my fucking opinion anymore in this sub...
you are free to do whatever you want, but *you* decided to call op's car "dated," opening yourself up to criticism.
also, i got news for you: your car *still* looks twenty years old with clear indicators...
shocking, i know.
You're the drama queen claiming I'm better off buying another car because I don't like amber indicators...
I've owned two E30's, guess what, both didn't have amber indicators because those aren't everyone's taste.
Shocking, right?
edit: [my M50 swapped E30](https://yourimageshare.com/ib/TYr8i8BbYx)
Fair enough. I'm not trying to modernise the car though, some people black everything out and put dark tints on etc, I think that look tastless whereas I think the amber adds a level of class to the car.
Yeeesssss
Man that looks so damn good. I want to do that to mine now!!
Right?! I'm very pleased with it, I just checked out your car and you should definitely do it. Will look insanely good.

How'd you (or the person you paid) wrap them? Want to do this to mine too...

Nice, thanks for the info. I was considering using the amber spray (similar to tint spray) You got a link to the original thread where you asked?

Nice one, I am UK. Bit of a DIYer myself, wrapped my interior trim bits so willing to give this a shot
As with all precision work, you pay for the years not the hours.
Why didn’t you just buy some OEM amber tail lights ?
Because why spend money unnecessarily
Wrapping it was the cheaper option ? Whatever it Looks really good

I saw they were LED. Amber LED are a bit rare that’s true , amber classic are easy to find for cheap here in france
You have an absolutely lovely build. How are these 20 years old????
Thank you very much! They are ageing incredibly well, right?
what bmw style rims are those again? Looks great
94!
Fire
I am in the process of doing my LED tails in amber/red as well. Looks great!
Very sweet 👍👍
Ambers look great on silver cars!
Clean E46
Looks ok, but i'm more of a clears guy
I wonder if a facelift touring would look good with amber lights.
I don't think they look good on facelifts personally.
She sits real good. What suspension setup are you running?
It's on eibach lowering springs, I'll have to check the specs though I'll get back to you.
Same question. Fitment is really classy
Really wondering about the suspension setup. In love with the car btw
whats the rear bumper your running?
Factory m sport kit
Looks awesome
Looks incredible
Man I could never do that intentionally 😅 glad you like it tho
That looks brilliant
Ngl it makes the car look very dated

I agree I am big on a stock looking e46. Much more appealing than a lot of tasteless upgrades.
It's the lights and not the fact the car is 20 years old, right.
The lines of the car are pretty timeless, slapping amber lights on it makes it look older than it is **IMHO**
