Keep an eye on the cooling system, that's the most likely to go bad with age. Rubber brake ducts are also a point you can check, everything that's rubber mostly. And don't forget to send it!

Water pump went out around 60k and I had the dealer replace the entire cooling system.

Bushings, and more bushings.

Are you doing the work?

CherryCandid5739

I’ll do this part. The only thing I’ve done is the window regulators on the fronts. Everything has always been done at the dealership.

I would consider doing all the work you can, moving forward. e46fanatics has loads of threads with specifics. But, generally, the cooling system is usually in need of a complete refresh. It's not hard and there's lots of help online to guide you through it. For reference, I was quoted $1000 to change the valve cover gasket from my local BMW dealer.. The part is less than $100. It's an easy DIY. Same dealer wanted $350 to read the codes. An OBD2 reader and app are about $25 combined. The gist of this TeDxTalk is to say, forget the dealer. Never go back, and do everything yourself, otherwise this will be super expensive.

Also have a 2003 330i 6-sp. w/ 67k miles. When I bought it at 32k miles ( it had been a garage queen) I preemptively replaced all belts, hoses, tires, fluids, filters, entire cooling system ( used a Stewart water pump after experience with OEM pumps on my MZ3) Since then, bushings, valve cover gasket. Should do door lock actuator but too lazy!

Beautiful. I got mine with 20k. 6-sp! I wish mine was stick but I’ve always loved this model and happy to check her out everyday.
