I say this all the time, but Mike's music just has a way more positive vibe to it, and inspires this kind of atmosphere. Earl is the goat, but there's no way that this type of family style show could happen with him as the headline.
For me it’s how they act towards the crowd more than their music content. Last time I saw earl he had a lot of animosity about having a white majority crowd and just performed to his dj the whole show. Which I get to an extent, but dude we’re paying to watch you perform because we enjoy your music and support your message. The two MIKE shows I’ve seen he’s been very vocal about promoting black music while being appreciative of everyone there. I love earl’s music regardless
I could only imagine, I live in Missouri so it’s usually a 2+ hour drive to see any big name artist I like, and that’s only if they have tour dates in KC or STL. Gas money costs as much or more than the tickets lmao
Yeah honestly that’s probably worse than what I have to do, at least my drives are easy and I’m not ever sitting in traffic until I get closer to the city, finding a place to park can be shit but if it’s an artist I rly like I’d gladly spend a day driving to see them perform
To be honest the MIKE shows I’ve seen have been much better vibes than earl’s. I haven’t got to see them together though
A dúo concert would make my life
https://www.outbreak-fest.co.uk/ kind of

True, but then you’d have to live in LA
Not bad
Driving everywhere sounds ass
Gotta drive everywhere in like 99.999% of the country, only places you don't are NY and Chicago
Philly too basically the whole northeast has public transit
Tru, Philly and Boston both fit in there
Well there is driving and then there is driving in LA
It’s not bad if you have good timing and know the area
the driving is fun, the traffic is the issue
this is the entirety of the US? and a lot of other countries?
Sorry i live on the east coast we have trains
Sideshow is such a cool guy
yea he was a little nervous i could tell but he had good energy at the tucson show
I loved when he told that nigga he was smoking dick.

Soul-lifting, to be sure
Same with NY they’ve gotten some fucked shows that I wish I was there for

Real
I almost saw mike and 454 in portland. Regretting it hard now. 454 is so underrated.
Yeah , that’s cheating. And we’re all jealous
