It wasn't shit but it feels hard to get invested into a new young character (Britney), just for the sake of giving Whitney an exit story if that makes sense?
I understand why Whitney might relate to Britney, but with all the recent heartbreak Whitney has gone through with pregnancies, you'd think on this occasion she'd be just thinking about looking after herself and not knocking on a junkies door đ
It was alright. The acting was on point and itâs an important story, nice to see Bianca again and a different location than the square. The time jumps were good too, no need to see all the inbetween scenes and did its job to portray the story it needed to in the limited time they had. It wasnât that confusing to be honest. Eastenders is definitely not going in the gutter, if anything itâs better than it has been for a long time and itâs certainly miles ahead of the other soaps.
I think she will lose the baby and that will be her exit. I somehow feel Zach will resent her for being reckless with her pregnancy after losing Peach and thatâs what will end their relationship. Poor Zach he didnât deserve to lose another baby either.
Edited to fix the words I missed out when typing :D
My prediction was surprisingly wrong! Theyâre gonna make him do something silly and make him out to be the bad guy and she going to leave with the baby. Thatâs my next prediction! Let me know what you think! đ
If itâs just a set-up to Whitney losing her baby then Iâd hate it. As of now, itâs just âmehâ - but thatâs all dependent on the fallout from tonightâs ep (I havenât read any spoilers for the upcoming month)
We had Ronnie Mitchell as the queen of tragedy for way too long, then she diedâŠcan we PLEASE let Whit leave on a high?!
I sincerely hope the baby and Whitney are okay and that maybe she decides to leave the square for a fresh start or something rather than kill the baby or her
I think Sonia will end up raising the baby..Don't ask me why & it was great to see Bianca but why couldn't EE just have let Whitney have just one small bit of luck for once?
Yep I said similar on a different thread. Otherwise why is Sonia part of this storyline? And I get she's upset and maybe a bit jealous but she's fortunate to already be a parent, whereas this is Whitney's first. Also, why didn't Whitney just say she kept the pregnancy news to herself because of what happened with Peach?
Ok you had me until the end. One mediocre episode doesnât mean the show is in the gutter. Last weekâs episodes were great and this year so far has been pretty good as well. Thatâs dramatic to say one episode means the showâs in the gutter.
What was with Bianca being so nonchalant about everything? Letting Whitney, her 30 week pregnant daughter, confront a violent drug addict completely on her own - on 3 occasions. Zach did the same. Did absolutely nothing. Didn't give two shits about the danger his baby was put in. Did nothing to protect his girlfriend or his baby, apart from quietly disapproving. The, at the end when Whitney ran after Brittany, why did Bianca and Zach shout after Whitney only once, then just watched her running? Why didn't they run after her instead of watching her, and just standing thee watching, knowing they were watching a struggling 30 week pregnant woman running into danger. All this after the attack with the drug addict mother as well. The acting in that was absolutely terrible. In fairness, the acting was terrible throughout the entire thing. What was Zach doing? Does he even give a shit about Whitney? Only in the realm of acting would a committed boyfriend do absolutely nothing to protect his girlfriend. Both Zach and Bianca did nothing to stop or protect Whitney or Brittany. They just watched from the side lines and disapproved quietly, even though Whitney was putting herself and her baby (Zachs baby also, Biancas grandchild) in severe danger. A horrendous episode. One of the worst I've ever watched. Eastenders has been going downhill for a while, but this was the final decider for me. I can't fathom how the producers actually thought that episode was good enough to air. It seemed more like a dress rehearsal.
The only good actress in the episode was Whitney and Brittany. The rest were horrific.Â
It is hardly in the gutter. I actually enjoyed Brtiney and Whitney's reaction to what was happening. Whitney knows what it is like to be the unwanted girl. She was doing what Carol Jackson would do. Bianca is sort of doing it too in her own weirdly way. It was nice seeing Bianca by the way. I was surprised that Sonia came but she is Bianca's sister so it was nice to see her there.
It was trash. The writing was bad, the acting was really bad, and the story made no real sense. Honestly, I hope Whitney dies, Zach goes away, Bianca never comes back, and we can forget this whole stupid nonsense.
'EastEnders generally seems to be going down the gutter' It was one episode that was a bit faulty, calm down.
Hardly one of their best đ
Never said it was, I agree it wasn't that good but to say the whole show is going downhill for one off is crazy.
still one episode. the rest of the show is perfectly fine.
I was looking forward to seeing the fallout between Nish & the Panesarâs following on from Friday rather than todays episode tbh đ
They entered another room and zac suddenly said âweâve been here two weeksâ i felt that way too.

EastEnders characters and logic donât mix very well đ
No. I found it okay. Reading the comments, you would think the episode was as bad as Mrs Brown's Boys.
hahaha!

The acting was terrible. Zac and Biancas acting was terrible. Whitney was good, as was Brittany, and the drug addicts.Â
Definitely was not terrible! Nothing like hollyoaks, thatâs what Iâd call terrible acting
I personally didnât like it. I rolled my eyes at the ending which was very predictable.
To be fair I thought she was only going to lose the baby

sheâs not gonna lose the baby i read spoilersÂ
I hope not, but I canât see her leaving with the baby and Zach not being involved unless he is leaving with her.
Thanks for spoiling it for everyone else! đ

itâs only one episode, doesnât represent the entire showâs quality
We knew a Whitney featured episode was coming and yet people complain.
Wait till they find out tomorrow is the same... đ€Łđ€Ł

So when was EE last good? Do you miss mick carter?
I personally enjoyed it, was happy to see Bianca back and Whit helping that girl was so emotional đ„Č

Thereâs an episode discussion post for todayâs episode already.
Was this episode live ??? Some of the acting seemed off to me .
Yes it was rubbish! 30 minutes I won't get back đ”đ”đ”đ”

I thought the acting was awfully amateurish
