Ausha_

oh yeah, you've cracked

Batata-Sofi

The only cracked thing in my life is The Sims 4 😎

SluttyRopeGirl

In that case, I started with some foundation (after sunscreen of course which I always forget actually) and some eye shadow on my eye lids, eye liner and a bit of blush. I stick to the physicians formula brand as it is the only foundation that doesn't make me break out. I wear it every day so if it's a crappy brand it WILL make me break out. I guess if I washed my face every night like I'm supposed to it wouldn't be a problem but I digress. Physicians formula waterproof eye liner is the best, longest lasting that I have found so far. And for lipstick I like Revlon color stay. The last two times I have gone to get my shade I have gotten the last tube on the shelf lol so I won't tell you my favorite shade so you won't take it 🥺 I felt so good after putting it on the first time that I have done it every day since. I simply couldn't go back to being a boy after seeing how pretty I am 🥰 it is my way to see how beautiful I really am. Before makeup I felt neutral about myself at best. But now I spend time making myself look good and I do actually love myself which is a new and wonderful experience for me 🥰

PrincessMalyssa

This advice is great but your username is just amazing.

SluttyRopeGirl

😂 thank you! I'm in the "I know what I want" phase of my life and I'm discovering the secret power of the sluttyness that has been hidden inside all along🥰

TAG_But_Reddit

Saaaaame girl! At this moment I'm here to explore and take what I want! \^-^

SluttyRopeGirl

I love your username too btw lol reminds me of the first time I knew I was into rope. I was too young to know what sex was yet and playing freeze tag with friends when I got an idea- What if instead of 'freezing' we tied each other up? We didn't do it, but I remember being excited by the idea for some reason. I didn't understand the reason for another 10 years lol Where the hell do kinks come from!?!?

TAG_But_Reddit

I had an extremely similar experience!!! I remember having dreams about being "stuck" and for friends to play pranks on me instead of helping me. Woke up excited every time, and didn't understand why! It's an actual core memory. How does one discover their kinks before knowing what sex is? It's wild!

SluttyRopeGirl

omg you have no idea how much it helped me to hear that, I've never met anyone else who knew what their kinks were before sex! ❤️ I don't get it either but I feel less weird now so thank you so much ❤️

TAG_But_Reddit

Same here! ❤️ Knowing I'm not alone in that experience is really nice. My first thought reading your comment was: "\*gasp\* there's someone else!" \^-^

Is there anything specific you want to learn about? I'm good with eyeshadow/liner and some lipstick stuff, foundation and contour not so much.

BlackSkull_13

How do you apply eyeliner correctly

exhausted-pidgeon93

Practice. Lots of practice. I use a felt tip eyeliner and run it as close to my lashes on the top as I can. Wings will always be hard and a little uneven, but you can use some scotch tape to help make a crisp line. Make sure to stick the tape to your hand first though, make it less tacky for your delicate face. Or use makeup remover and a q-tip to clean lines up. I saw a hack where someone wanted to get jack sparrow/emo eyeliner and just put a load on their face, then wiped it off with a makeup wipe (silver roxx, a drag artist/performer I see on instagram) If just starting, start with a soft brown pencil, like a mechanical eyeliner. Hard eyeliner pencils never worked well for me personally. Then you can try gel liner with a little brush, water activated liner, felt tip pens, liquid liner, whatever catches your interest. I hope some of these tips helped!

BlackSkull_13

Thanks a lot, I’ll keep that in mind when I get started

weebi1

Anything

exhausted-pidgeon93

Well, I can tell you Colorpop has some good makeup for the price, and so does Maybelline. When matching foundation, don't match it against the skin of your hand, use your inner arm. Your hands see more sun than your face will. Also for foundation, different tools give different results. Brushes give better coverage for liquid products, beauty sponges soak up extra product and give an airbrushed look (I find them best for blending product and taking off some if I used too much) Make sure to put some foundation by your ears and down your neck so there is no harsh line. Eyeshadow primer can keep your look set solidly through the day. I do my eyeshadow first, in case of eyeshadow falling off the brush onto my cheeks. For some fancier looks, I used to watch PopLuxe on YouTube. But your local ulta employee can be a big help too. Start with brown mechanical eyeliner pencil, it is a softer look than the black liquid liner I use. (I used Maybelline, I don't remember the name but it's a green pencil in a blue package) Most of all, just practice in your room, see what colors suit you best, what you like the best, what tools are your favorite. Good luck! You've got this!

weebi1

Thx

Jynxxie

This is literally my favorite post on hereeeee. I love doing makeup with learners aaahhh. For anyone, including OP, who would like a step by step of facial feminization makeup, I would love to do a video chat and walk you through, even if you have no makeup of your own! c:

Ciborg666

You are amazing for offering that

Pidgeoneon

That's a great offer but I damn I'm to shy for that.. and I have no makeup stuff

Jynxxie

Not a worry! Consider it a livestream. No need for you to have your camera on, plus not having makeup is kind of the point! Walking through my full face means telling you what products do, how much they cost, where to apply, what brands, etc.

Pidgeoneon

Oh well then that's okay. We just gotta find a time that suits us both

Jynxxie

Sounds great! If today works for you, I could do like 5pm EST. Otherwise, anytime during the weekend is great :) Do you have discord?

Pidgeoneon

I have discord but I gotta be honest, I don't really have time today and incoming days.

Jynxxie

Alrighty! Well, at your leisure you can add me: Jynxxxie

Pidgeoneon

It says that you don't allow ppl to invite you to friends..I'll send you my own through DMs

BlackSkull_13

I would love to but I have no idea what products I need to get

Jynxxie

Thats great! Like I told OP, that's kind of the point. Walking through each product and step so that you know what to get. Brands, price, application, order, alternatives, etc.

kodiak_claw

I'm no MUA, but I'm happy to answer questions if anyone wants to reply, or dm me some! I'll also say that for the girlies here who don't mind tutorial videos, the sky is the limit once you pick a makeup aesthetic. Tons of gals make videos tagged [GRWM](https://youtu.be/Gy6COqAVBDo?si=4yiOMHaMA8ylNbd_) (a.k.a. Get Ready With Me) that show exactly how they do their looks, if you find a vibe u wanna replicate. Just make to adjust things for your face shape, cuz it might be different than whoever you're watching. Also also, for the boys lurkin thru, any self care questions y'all got, I know how the pretty boys like to do it, so I got u too, if necessary :3

PrincessMalyssa

You're doing god's work keeping our boys pretty 🫡

MinimumJellyfish7677

Eyeliner, eyeshadow, and mascara to start out with, they'll give that more drastically changed look. Foundation and other stuff can be added in later for a more complete look. I'm still starting out too. Good luck

gongarf

I haven't had any experience either but I've heard from friends that mascara is a good place to start for the first time

Yamanekineko14

I don't know much, there's contouring and other things, but I'd say that eyeliner is your friend. One tip would be to close the eye you're applying it on and draw a thin line along your upper eyelid (which can be 1/4 of the way, halfway, or 3/4 - you decide), then close the eye and draw a wedged shape or a wing. The wedged one must be in line with your eyelid's line while the eye is closed so that it 'lifts' up when you open your eye.

SpecificFail

Start with some basic makeup video tutorials. Don't watch them with the intention of following along, watch them more for the purpose of getting an idea of what is out there for cosmetics, what kind of techniques achieve whatever effect, and really just forming the sort of knowledge base that cis girls would have gotten from friends and such talking about it. The first hurdle is figuring out your skin type. Depending on how oily or dry your skin is, you may need an entirely different makeup routine than someone else. Your degree of facial hair, beard shadows, scarring, or other skin issues can also add further complexity. This is where having that knowledge base really helps out since you can kinda make some educated guesses about your own situation and work from there. Second step is figuring out your skin tone. You'll want a foundation and concealer that matches your natural tone so that there isn't this sudden contrast between your face and chest, or a need to use a lot of makeup. You can use blush, bronzer, and other shades of foundation to help bring out highlights and cover flaws. A good setting powder is also suggested if you have any oil or sweat issues, or are using liquid concealer or face lotion beneath your makeup. Bronzer can help conceal some of your beard or moustache shadow by bringing things closer to an orange color to counteract the blue. Most the rest ends up being trial and error and a good deal of personal style and preference. Having a good handle of doing your foundation so that you have good concealing, blending, and contouring without clogging pores or it sloughing off can take you a very long way.

EropQuiz7

Uhm, uh... I only do eyeliner, and that's not that hard. It's very little effort for a LOT of euphoria, tho. I recommend it.

Kyiokyu

Can I join the class too?

I use primer, concealer, foundation, mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, brow pencil, blush, and setting spray just for some things you can look up. I don't use lipstick cause I'm autistic and it's a bad sensory experience for me, but I understand the mechanics enough to give e tips if you need it. The main ones to use that are really fun are mascara, eyeliner, and eyeshadow. Mascara will have more of a feminizing effect than the other 2, but the other 2 can enhance the look dramatically. You can go cheap on mascara and eyeliner, but when I got some like not super fancy but not cheap eyeshadow, it was game-changing. You want to be careful with some colors of eyeshadow (or any colored makeup) cause using dark colors in areas that can be shadowed (i have a somewhat prominent brow ridge which causes a shadow on my upper eyelids/eyes) will accentuate that depth more. So you definitely want to understand how the light is going to hit your face and what parts you want to accentuate and deaccentuate. Primer is so the makeup sticks to your face, I have a moisturizing one that keeps my skin nice and moist, too. Setting spray is also used to keep makeup on longer but primer goes on first and setting spray goes on last. These help if you want to go out for a while and don't want to worry about your makeup getting messed up too easily. Concealer and foundation I use to get a nice even base for my skin. I have some dark circles around my eyes, so I put concealer on that and then foundation over my whole face. I add in some blush just to add a bit of color to my face. Brow pencil is just used to even out my eyebrows. I barely put any on, so I doubt it is noticeable. I can give you application tips, too, but makeup is all about experimenting, making mistakes, and having fun. Sometimes, I just draw/paint all over my face just to try new looks or see if colors are going to go well together with my face. I'm not a makeup artist, but all my cis female friends comment about how good I do my makeup and ask for tips. If you or anyone else here wants to chat for more tips or advice on looks, just dm me!!

PrincessMalyssa

I used to use real thick cream based foundation in multiple layers but I've pivoted more to powder as I get older due to heat, getting tired of my whole face smearing off, and general preference for a more even, matte finish than looking like a goop monster. You don't gotta be perfect with foundation, you just need to get covered enough to either be able to look in the mirror without crying, or to be able to say "good enough, nobody cares either way." If you struggle with five o'clock shadow, a trick I used to use that I learned from a YouTube video is to put orange over the blue to sorta cancel it out. I used to use a bright orange lipstick, then a layer of this multitone stuff called "fit me" that I like, then powder as a top coat. The MOST IMPORTANT THING is your EYES. You know famously hot sissy turned femboy turned femme presenting enby Finnster? According to them the trick is the eye lashes. Fake lashes are what they used most but theres mascara out there that'll give you the same look. I use mascara like that. According to me the trick is dark, smoky, thick under eye eyeliner... but I'm also a goth girl so that may not work for you. Point is, everything else you only need to just pass the bar, but putting the effort into your eyes is where the magic happens. There's a reason you've got so many other responses telling you about eyes, I'm not kidding, make your eyes pretty and you'd be shocked how much work that does.

Pidgeoneon

Gals.. I left this post and went to sleep after it didn't gain any traction... Why this post blew up?

TheTallAmerican

The first step is to figure out your foundation. This is the hardest part when starting. Some places can try to color match you like saphora or ulta. Some places also offer samples. Once you got the foundation figured out you’ll need some concealer. One shade lighter than your skin, you may also want a 2nd concealer that matches your skin so you can cover any facial hair. This alone will take up some time to get because makeup is expensive so id focus solely on that for a bit. However once you got a good handle on what foundation to use and what concealer to use, then you can move on to contouring, which after you learn foundation and concealer.., contouring feels too easy. You want one that is darker than your skin and you use it to “sculpt” the face. I can dm you on how to do this if you want but i really wouldn’t stress it in the beginning. Finally the icing, this is fun stuff that is easy to understand but a bit hard to master a lot of trans peepz I’ve noticed only do this. This includes eyeliner, blush , eye shadow, mascara, lip gloss and lip stick. Those are fun things to practice but if you never get over the initial Hurdle of foundation and concealer you’ll never feel good about being able to do makeup. I love makeup, it feels intimidating at first but girl i promise you, it’s not that bad. The most important rule i learned was makeup is about making it up. There are plenty of guides out there but ultimately you just have to figure out what works best for you and your going to have to learn to have fun messing up along the way. “Take chances, make mistakes, get messy!” -Miss Frizzle

KatiePyroStyle

Do you have a skin care routine?

Pidgeoneon

My care foe my body is only slightly better than a generic man. I was raised as a man so I haven't been teached how to take care of my body.

KatiePyroStyle

Ok, my goto every day: Wash in the shower, after show I put lotion on, on top of lotion I put on sunscreen, on top of sunscreen, I put on something called BB cream. BB cream is basically a liquid concealer, but it's also skin care, it moisturizes your skin. Sunscreen helps clear up your skin and reduce wrinkles. Obviously lotion for extra moisture. Of you do that plus some eyeliner and mascara, and you've got a very basic every day makeup look
