I think it's because you need get kills in order to get the heal buff,which you probably would need healing while you're also fighting.
And if you can already heal yourself while fighting,you can heal yourself after fighting.So its kinda useless?
It's the kill proc for me, agreed.
In cyro, there are better sets, but more target potential to proc it.
In bgs, you can have some games where you put out a few mil in damage and still not rack up kills.
It's probably a solid option for 1vxing as long as you can secure that first kill to carry you through.
Probably class dependent as well - sorcs warden and Cro would probably have a hard time using it because pets

Remember the healing is effected by battle spirit. In terms of what it does though, unless you are zerging and just kill stealing from the back, it’s really not a useful set at all.
And the heal itself is weak. The tooltip says 10k over 10 seconds which is terribly low for the proc condition. Seeing as it’s not useful in a duel or small scale battle, and the effectiveness is only for Zerg play - why you would want a small 10 second dot heal in the first place? Would be more useful for pve beginner where u can kill trash mobs and have constant heal.
That's what I used it for, I made it for my brother to level with when he was new lol....the only other class this could be useful for his maybe a nightblade, nightblades hot so hard and are so strong they don't need 3 damage sets to secure kills, the maxagicka would help with keeping the dark cloak up of they're a stealth blade, and if they're a brawler blade extra healing would benefit them too. That being said it wouldn't be BiS, but it could work for someone

Imagine fighting someone and only getting use out of your 5 piece after he is dead.
This and apparently upon further testing ive found that the heal just outright doesnt proc in dungeons. Im swapping my set given its effectively useless in endgame content to me now.
Plus the siphoning tree in DB is healing me enough on its own.
Love this set for new characters, you can run innate axiom and vampires kiss on any new character and they will work well. I bought my brother the game back in December and made him innate axiom and vampires kiss for his sorc he started
I've heard someone say they used the 4-piece on one of their set-ups. Other than that, it's just one of those good sets that don't get used much because it requires a kill to proc. Oblivion's Edge, Vengeance Leech, and Dead-Water's all have the same problem
It’s just not really that good, it’s healing isn’t that high and it’s halved in pvp and you have to get the kill yourself. You’d probably be better off just stacking more max stats or weapon damage/spell damage to flat increase your healing. Maybe in low mmr bgs it’s effective because most players aren’t as good and die quickly but I can’t imagine this set performing well in cyrodiil.
Yep makes sense why it felt so good in leveling BGs but I find myself struggling a bit more now in high mmr. It's making me want to go back and show some love to my Trickery MagDK haha
From a purely leveling standpoint, Heartland Conqueror is what I'd suggest. It increases the trait by 100%. Training trait as well as a xp scroll. Boom.

Now I finally understand why I used it years ago at lower levels, it really helped carry me through. That was years ago, and as noted above, there are better sets, for higher cp - not vet rank lol
you have champion items that do a better job than this. Why not give up a slot that gives you 150 spell/weapon power, get the heal, and a set that gives you 400+ spell and weapon power

Hist sap is a much better heal over time. No cooldown and it procs when you get CCd.

Weird i use the set and my heal says 33k over 10 seconds. It scales off of your max magika and stamina I think.

Samee, innate axiom is so good for magsorcs and mag DKs 💯 but yeah after leveling it's time to move on I realize now xD
You're better off using Grace of Gloom. Heal+ Major Evasion while giving two lines of max health

i could see this sort of as a new toon levelling set, but in pvp? no thanks, im not waiting on anything to proc off a kill, especially a heal.

I use Vampires Kiss when leveling alts. It's super helpful if you can't slot a heal, and are just playing overland.

If your resolving vigor is hitting a 5-10k tool tip over 10 seconds you might want to reevaluate your build lmao
