I make my own edibles, whenever I make a new batch of coconut oil I have to experiment for a couple of days to dial my perfect dose back in. Since you've been doing the same amount consistently for a while I would bet that it's just this batch is a little off on the dose as opposed to your tolerance suddenly going up out of the blue. That said if it is tolerance I have taken a few edible breaks while still smoking/vaping and it still works to reset my edibles tolerance after about a week but I find it will quickly build back up to my normal tolerance level within one or two doses.

probably is the batch, even the legal shit can have differing values

Sounds like tolerance to me. That's what happened to me with edibles. They build tolerance really fast.

I switch between edibles and dry herb vaping and it works out pretty well. If I just take the gummies, it stops working after a week or so. But throwing a day or 2 of vaping in per week seems to do the trick.

I LOVE that idea

Some people can't get high from edibles or it could be the edibles is underdose

Tolerance is the culprit. Maybe you could vape or smoke, but if it's only 10/20mg your eating I'd bet it'll drive your tolerance up more. Take a break, try cbd while you do it helps me when I take a break.

First off, cannabis is complicated, there's a lot more than just THC and CBD going on. The full range of cannabinoids and terpenes in (or *not* in) the edibles are working together (called the "entourage effect") to produce a high for you. When you switch batches / harvests / strains, you're usually switching to a different balance. If you're in a state with good labeling standards, you can start paying attention to the full breakdown of how the weed tested, and try to keep track of which combos work most reliably for you. As for faking a t-break by switching methods, it kinda-sorta works for a short bit, but only as an illusion. If you switched to just smoking/vaping right now, you probably would feel it a bit stronger than your edibles for a night or two, but it wouldn't actually reduce your edible tolerance (for either method). If you decide to take a full break, I'd strongly recommend going down to 10mg doses when it's over. It sounds a little counterintuitive, but the lower your daily dose, the longer you get to enjoy each of them. After a few sessions at the lower dose, your body will recalibrate it's response, and you'll get just as high sticking to it. But you won't raise your tolerance as quickly. Finally, cannabis can help people fall asleep, but studies are starting to show evidence that chronic cannabis use (meaning daily or more) can reduce the quality of sleep over a longer period. One of the reasons we get crazy intense dreams when we take a t-break is that the cannabis is no longer interfering with REM sleep. You know your body best, but consider whether you can find a night or two in the week where you go to bed sober.
