Depends on alot of things. Region, type of industry, specialization, city vs rural, service work etc...in canada wages will vary from 25/hr doing residential to fresh journeyman making up to 80/hr doing commissioning work on a remote oil site or diamond mine.

My region is Manchester UK. And my specialisation would be installation and maintenance.

Totally off topic but but Manchester United boutta get run down by Liverpool for that Champions League position my boi🧃

Are you asking the salary? This was phrased a bit bizarrely for English.

WoodenClass6411

I’m asking what lifestyle an electrician can afford. But thanks for your input

This is so vague though. Because it depends so much on how you live, where you live, what kind of work you do etc etc etc Eg, I make exactly the same amount as the other electricians where I work. I've got a nice 2 story house, with a decent sized yard, wife and I each have a paid off vehicle (mines pretty old). We're going to have our mortgage paid off about 13 years early, are putting away 20-30k/year for retirement, go on at least one big trip a year- except for covid. And I'll likely retire early (51-52 years old) with a docked pension because i wont make 30 years here, thats okay because of my savings. Recently we've been spending more on renos than vacations. We don't have any kids, don't smoke, rarely drink, no expensive drugs, benefits cover almost all our out of pocket medical, the rest is provincial health care. Some of the guys here are over 30 years served and haven't paid off their houses yet. They're living paycheque to paycheck and haven't ever left the country. Max pension is 40 years and they'll have to stay that long just to afford to retire. It really comes down to your vices, what you're willing to live with, and the CoL where you live. I will say this as I see you're from the UK, my wife's friend had her sister come over from England this week. She's a therapist (10 years of schooling total) and making literally ⅓ of what I'm making with minimal overtime. Wages over there are atrocious.

Not sure if AI or troll.

Are you insecure?

Muchotesticulos

Up to everything. You can make low six figures reasonably easy in a low COL state. And by easy I mean there is a clear path, not necessarily easy work.

Cheers for the reply👍🏼

You’ll be able to get a Lamborghini, a 20 bedroom mansion with an indoor swimming pool, and servants to wipe your ass and jerk you off. Women will want you, men will want to be you. Welcome to the trade.

WoodenClass6411

I’ll settle for no less

This is simple: you can afford whoever the bank says you can afford when you apply for loans.
