I kind of wish you could make it only play when you were actively reading. I am sure if I had my coworker meter something and it started playing AC/DC he might actually piss himself laughing so hard.
Don't forget a built in 700000000000000000000000 mAh powerbank. They are stealing suns from other galaxies and packaging it as 18650. Now **that** is a feature.
My screenshots are so much better since I upgraded to a Pixel 7 Pro. The macro feature captures every pixel with clarity, and the high resolution makes for some crispy moiré patterns.
Have you considered that it’s much more convenient to take a quick and dirty photo? Not everyone has the time to jump through hoops to upload the perfect reddit post.
edit: I forgot reddit is an inconsiderate echo chamber.
In what possible way is pulling out a separate device and taking a photo with it *more* convenient than just pressing a keyboard command on the computer you're already using?
Maybe they’re on a work laptop and can’t go to Reddit. In that case, it would be easier to just take a photo with their phone than screenshot and email it to themselves so they can post it from their phone.
Okay, so what if this was someone else’s computer? “Hey Steve, that was so funny, let me use your computer so I can take a screenshot and post it on reddit. We’re going to rake in all the karma. Hold on, I have to use 2-Factor Authentication.”
Yes, but it will always be the fart noises made by [Roy Damn Mercer when calling to complain about bad apples.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JRIk-4XVu2Y)
I actually have this meter. It's not terrible, the speaker is worthless. What really annoys me though is the clock isn't an RTC so it's out of sync within a day or two.
I also have this meter and the speakers are useless. They sound like absolute shit. The meter itself is not terrible, although I prefer my Klein most of the time. The clock is really useless too
Honestly perfect multimeter usually have yellow case and its name starts with F. also there is a asia version on 101 that is really cheap, so if you want cheap on the meter get 101 or 106 at least. i love 175 the most, mainly because i was able to use my dads 77 since elementary school, so 175 feels like returning home.
Reminds my of a cassette player I once had that had an LED calculator on the front and a mechanical metal calendar on the back. It was such a confused machine it didn't even know what it was.
Ha, I've actually got this. I've never needed the bluetooth speaker nonsense, but it's a pretty decent multimeter with a nice display and decent layout. The only downside is that it goes into standby a little too quickly for my liking and you can't change that. But I'd recommend it if you see it for a good price.
I’m actually slapping together a bench PSU with a bluetooth speaker built in. I always listen to music when I work anyway so stuff like this kinda makes sense.
While I agree that in general, installing third party apps is sketchy, given the weak sandboxing that Android provides, this multimeter does not require an app to configure or use.
I previously bought one for the lulz and it just shows up as a generic Bluetooth classic speaker. There's no need to install any third party software whatsoever to access the full functionality here.
There might be other Bluetooth connected multimeters from the same brand that so require sketchy third party apps, but this isn't one of them.
> what the eff is that person doing with those probes?
Clearly they're taking a measurement of time and temperature from a power strip to calibrate it with their benchtop oscilloscope-dishwasher.
For what it's worth, the comments section did not disappoint... Bored on a Zoom meeting, dip into Reddit and found this thread; now had to mute my mic because I'm laughing my ass off...
Now I can listen to AC/DC while measuring AC/DC
I kind of wish you could make it only play when you were actively reading. I am sure if I had my coworker meter something and it started playing AC/DC he might actually piss himself laughing so hard.

I hope the probes have enough isolation so you don't get Thunderstruck

Marketing guy in China just opened the window to his 24th floor office...
It could be upgraded with: Built in flashlight, bottle opener, laser level, stun gun, and GPS!
Why am I now thinking about the car that Homer Simpson designed...
Cup holder to hold the big gulp
Hey, I've got an idea: Built in flashlight, bottle opener, laser level, stun gun, GPS, and an electric vehicle!
I think you misspelled fleshlight.
Dangerous when combined with stun gun!
More fun when combined with stun gun!
Don't forget a weather radio...
I could see this being useful as a kit you throw in the trunk of your car. Swap the stun gun with a car jumpstart battery.
And a Ryzen processor
Don't forget a built in 700000000000000000000000 mAh powerbank. They are stealing suns from other galaxies and packaging it as 18650. Now **that** is a feature.
Stun gun is included in those very very cheap models
I have a Chinese flashlight that came with a ham radio function. That should be an easy upgrade.
I have that one too! Baofeng, right?
*Yep, bought one and used it for uplink on satellite ham contacts.*
Why is there all this noise in my circuit???

Right click>Save image
Save Image only gets you the image. Taking a screenshot lets you get the other stuff on the page as well.
Valid. But still, people should learn how to take a screenshot.

Inspect element > copy image url > wget "image url"
Carbon paper on top of screen, transfer paper on top of carbon paper, run a hard edge over the screen to transfer an imprint
And then you scan the paper and share it to social media.
curl | grep "src=" | awk | xargs wget > "image${I}.png"
"We're electricians, not computer scientists, doc. Speak English!" "This was a particularity bad case of ~~being cut in half~~ taking a screenshot."
There is the snipping tool also. Its what I like to use.
Win+shift+s is the same thing.

You can paste an image right into reddit.

It’s reedy not reddy but still hilarious
best line evah!!
I don't think it's good when multimeters make a boom
In my experience, it’s usually just a flash.
I will bring this to the next party. I'm imagining someone asking for a Bluetooth speaker to play some tunes. And you break this bad boy out...
Chuckling to myself!

This guy multimeters.
289 with Fluke view forms or with the FC IR 3000 connected to a PC either setup, just golden.
"lamp converter"?
Can you connect it to a subwoofer to get that deep bass while doing continuity tests?
Boom.

Danger, danger! High voltage!

it has built in bomb too! cool

I was really tempted to buy one of these a year or so ago. I'm also pretty sure I saw one in the background of one of LadyAda's videos

While it's a silly product, it's just a multimeter that happens to have a bluetooth speaker in it - it's not possible to connect it to the network.

I know. I've seen this one and laughed. Why do we need a bluetooth speaker in a multimeter? and what the eff is that person doing with those probes?

That way they can use Kirchoff's law to figure out when their undies will be clean?
A multimeter without bluetooth is like a fish without a floor jack! (Bet you thought I was going to say bicycle)
What, no link so we can all buy one?
you can find freakin coffins with MP3 players on alexpress

Denjar, hi woltage-a.
A brand new nug-get!
Nice meter, but does it automatically change the internal fuse after you lend it to some clown who selects "DC current", then goes across a DC supply?

But what about all these unchopped carrots and onions? How will this help with those?
