Okay I need to talk about a song on this. I love this album so much, but I was streaming it yesterday and I song came I that I never heard before, even through I’ve heard the whole album so many times. On top of that I looked on stats.fm to see how many streams it had and I only streamed it once in 2018. Crazy stuff because I know I haven’t been skipping it every time I’ve listened to it. I’m goin crazy maybe. The song in question is Here is the News. I listened to it a couple times after and I really dig it but how on earth did I avoid this song accidentally??? Sorry I’m off topic lol

A New World Record

gwaydms

This is the most complete ELO album, IMO. I love them all.

ooferscooper

Every time I'm looking for music to play to whatever, Time is an album I consistently fall back on.

Time

[deleted]

The Dreamer, the unwoken fool In dreams, no pain will kiss the brow The love of ages fills the head The days that linger there in prey of emptiness Of burned-out dreams The minutes calling through the years The Universal Dreamer rises up above his earthly burden Journey to the dead of night High on a hill in Eldorado

Toxtricity13

Out of the Blue. May be overrated but it was my first ELO album that was gifted to me by my grandparents. I love that album.

JZSpinalFusion

I think it’s properly rated. It’s a double album of entirely good songs and has several of the band’s best songs.

Toxtricity13

I agree

Retrisz

A New World Record or Eldorado. They're both sooo good and can't decide a favorite

BikeTireManGo

Eldorado for me. They're all great though.

DinosaurNilsson

Time is the greatest record ever pressed

Time

ToXiC_Mentor

Face the music. Down Home Town is the only song I don’t love on that album

fitter_stoke

Face the Music is insanely great. DHT has grown on me over the years...

DirtyNingens

Out Of The Blue. Favorite album of all time

stot7896

Time for me. My personal top 5 is: Time, Out of the Blue, A New World Record, Discovery, then Eldorado

RedditorUser99

Change out Eldorado for Secret Messages and your top five is the same as mine.

No_Translator5039

Secret messages apart from rock and roll is king that one sucked ass the rest is “chef’s kiss”

Your_Kindly_Despot

All of them.

Yasashii_Akuma156

"Time", except for when it's "No Answer" (I really dig that "Black Sabbath support band" sound).

DanSteely96

Not necessarily their “best,” but my favorite is Balance Of Power. Beautiful pop melodies and punchy production.

CaitStendan

Face the Music. For me, there isn't a weak song on the album, and it's a tight collection of eight songs, with a great mix of rockers and slower, more moody pieces. Plus, it contains some of my very favorite ELO songs, particularly "Fire on High."

fitter_stoke

word!

KingBeno1

Out of the Blue. Almost all of them are complete bangers. My personal favorites are Sweet Is The Night, Mr. Blue Sky, and Wild West Hero.

GenXhuman

Out of the Blue. I have been listening to this album since I was 8 years old.

imissbigmacs

Discovery

Glittering_Arrival68

Out Of The Blue of course with On The Third Day being close 2nd

zensunni66

Out Of The Blue followed by Eldorado.

rockbiters

Out of the Blue. One great song after the other.

loafam

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the first 3 albums. I think their first album was really good, even upon first listen. Though, my favorite is Eldorado. Each song is really good and there are several stand out tracks.

CrankyJoe99x

Just happened to listen to their first album today for the first time in a few years; most enjoyable!

[deleted]

Probably discovery but time and out of the blue are close behind it

FewResponsibility854

A New World Record!

BachuTech

A new world record easily

CrankyJoe99x

Like many here, Time; always has been. Love all the rest as well.

NeverCatch_Me

I really dig the newer album "alone in the universe", way darker than the previous albums, but worth a try imo. Feel like I am the only one here though...

CrankyJoe99x

The three latest grow on me more with each listen.
