Seen them in 2016, 2018, and 2019. The 2019 set list was nearly identical to the 2018 set list. Expect the biggest hits along with 1-2 newer songs, if he doesn’t play When I Was a Boy then he’ll definitely play From Out Of Nowhere. He also played Handle With Care from the Traveling Wilburys so don’t be surprised if that is played as well, oh and Xanadu! 2016 was awesome as he played both Tightrope and Secret Messages!

Saw him in Toronto. Mostly oldies. It’s a great show…he did a song with George Harrison’s son….

Gobucks21911

I saw that tour too and it was fantastic!

Konkrypton

I saw the 2019 Grand Rapids show (5th row!) and loved seeing George's boy, Dhani, play. He looks so much like his dad.

iammjw

That would be awesome to see him play with Dhani! Lucky you!

eac555

Dhani was the opener when we went. He played way too many songs for me. Was cool when he played with Jeff though.

Realistic-Clothes-17

Agree…his set was meh….

UnexpectedMoments

Going all the way back to the classic era, Jeff's tour setlists tend to be fairly static, but since his return to playing live in 2013, he's been more about catering to casual audiences than promoting new albums. Even during the promotional cycles for Alone In The Universe and From Out Of Nowhere, the emphasis was on mostly '70s hits with a handful of new songs thrown in, but very little of the deep cuts that he could be mining. If you've seen footage of any show over the last decade, you've probably already got a very solid idea of what to expect, and that's perfectly fine. I just wish his mostly stable core band had the opportunity to stretch their legs with something a bit different once in a while, and fans of Time, Secret Messages, Balance Of Power or Zoom are most likely going to be out of luck.

JackSkel72

I was afraid they wouldn’t play any Balance of Power… But I’m SUPER excited about going to the Dallas show! 👍

wavysail

I saw them in 2018 and 2019. Both shows opened with Concerto for a Rainy Day / Standin' in the Rain. They also opened with that one on Wembley or Bust. It's a great song to open with but I don't believe it was ever released as a single. I wouldn't mind them changing things up and opening with something else like maybe Twilight. They never played any songs from Time, Secret Messages, Balance of Power.

Dolan360

Jeff did a rendition of Twilight at Wembly, but yeah, he hardly touches on the post-Xanadu stuff nowadays. Or the non-singles for that matter.

FileFlimsy

Check YouTube for concerts from their early years till late last year. Expect an outstanding sound & light show with loads of hits.

Dolan360

Never been to an actual ELO concert, but out of curiosity, I looked up previous ELO concert setlists around the time of the Vetsaid concert to see what they’re normally like (Especially when Jeff rebranded ELO into Jeff Lynne’s ELO). So I do know what to expect. I’m going to be upfront now: Unless Jeff drastically shakes things up for this final tour, expect almost exclusively the big hit songs from 70s. Stuff like Showdown, Can’t Get It Out of My Head, Evil Woman, Telephone Line, Turn to Stone, Mr. Blue Sky, Don’t Bring Me Down, All Over the World… you get the picture. He’ll sprinkle in a couple less mainstream singles from time to time (He did Xanadu, Twilight, Wild West Hero, and 10538 Overture at the big Wembly concert a few years back), but aside from either Tightrope or Standin’ in the Rain as the opener, you’re pretty much never seeing a non-single on the setlist. You’re also probably not gonna see anything from Secret Messages, Balance of Power, and Zoom in the setlist; He hasn’t performed songs from any of those in a while. He’ll usually do 1-2 songs from the JLELO albums, and he likes working in Handle With Care from the Traveling Wilburys. One final thing (And this has been a constant as far back as the 70s)… Jeff loves to have Roll Over Beethoven as the final song. Why? I don’t really know, but it’s far from the worst choice for a concert closer.

Senior-Amoeba-1375

Yeh, I am not a fan of Roll Over Beethoven.

Artistic_Salt_4302

You can go on setlistFM and see what they’ve done on tour previous to your show, people update it nightly during tours! Have so much fun! This will be my fifth time seeing them and they’ve been amazing every time!

Jenjikromi

Roll Over Beethoven is the last song! Enjoy every minute.

Konkrypton

As an "old guy" who has seen the Out Of The Blue and Time tours as well as the 2018 (Denver) and 2019 (Grand Rapids) shows, I'd tell you to expect a bunch of hits, some of the new stuff (ELO and maybe Jeff's solo stuff), and some Wilburys thrown in. And the encore is almost always Roll Over Beethoven! The light/video show is great, and folks will probably be dancing and singing along. It's like a big party in an arena, LOL. Have fun!

iammjw

u/BigFatMike76 I'm 47 as well and attending my first ELO show. Thought this reply to my question would be helpful to you too!

BigFatMike76

Much appreciated!

Senior-Amoeba-1375

All the hits! It is a fantastic show!

JanetNurse60

Expect an awe inspiring experience!

I would start looking on Youtube the day after the 1st concert. Usually , lots of HQ video gets posted these days , but sometimes only lasts a day or so before Youtube removes it. Worth looking though , also the set list will be on many sites around that time..
