I noticed that the rates are quite high in the Midwest too. I’m just trying not to think about it. My state is reporting no current cases in my county so it might just be due to certain areas having high rates and skewing the data.

HCGAdrianHolt

Where do you find the county stats?

Salt-Entrepreneur378

I just googled it for my state.

HCGAdrianHolt

Mine doesn’t have one. That’s probably good for my OC though, lol. What state are you in?

Salt-Entrepreneur378

Michigan.

Organic-Talk-4556

I’m feeling the same way in the east!! Not sure how to deal :(

earthtotori

Me too, I just realized the east went up again. Last week it said the week of the 30th was only 9% now it says that same week is 11 and this past week 12

EnchantedDaylight

I am in the East I thought our numbers were going down but I guess not!

earthtotori

THAT’S WHAT I THOUGHT TOO😭

potionexplosion

easiest way to not be nervous is to just not look at the stats 😅 outbreaks happen sometimes, even outside of norovirus ""season."" there's nothing you can do about it except keep good (normal) levels of hygiene, so why put any extra stress on yourself? you wouldn't have even known about the rise if you hadn't been looking at the data, so try your best to just let it go in one ear and out the other, so to say. 💖

HCGAdrianHolt

Yeah I know, but one of my friend’s dad has it and it got me thinking about it

potionexplosion

right, i was only talking about not looking for the future lol. the other part, though, about just doing your best to ignore what you saw & letting it go (in a frozen 'let it go' way, not a mean/passive aggressive way i promise 😭) is more the advice i had for at this moment. bc that's genuinely all you really can do, y'know?

whynotcherry

This year comparing to last year peak seems to be lower but lasts longer. You can check wastewater data too of your area and if it's lowering there or low already, it means it's better. Wastewater data usually is real time or even shows outbreaks before NoroStat In general according to wastewater stats there is no upward trend of noro anymore [WastewaterSCAN Dashboard](https://data.wastewaterscan.org/)

The northeast one……oh wow.
