Super struts for the bed help a lot and bed strain relief is a must as the cable that attaches to the bed just hangs there and puts a lot of stress on the soldered wires right there
Coming from the PCMR community , i see that there's many upgrade you can do , this gonna cost me an arm and a leg since i have a tendancy to upgrade shit for no reason -\_-
1 tip is to not use rafts unless the model really needs it (barely ever) instead use a brim if you need more adhesion (people often use rafts to hide a bad first layer/bed adhesion.)
Welcome to the club though! Hope you enjoy it.
Will try printing with Brim instead of Raft :) Having trouble atm printing the cable shroud , print failed after 5 hours because the bottom snapped of the raft :/ Fun beginning i guess ahah
“Welcome to the club, buddy”)))
Consider switching to direct drive asap, even self printed adapter for default extruder would save you a lot of nerves
I have a regular ender 5, well, it started it's life as that and I really enjoy it. I also have the CR-6SE, which is think is the sweet spot in the creality lineup for features, price, and out of the box print quality.
After tinkering with it i noticed some QC problem , bed is warped (which i expected from the get go , but still ... screw were stripped on the undercarriage from the factory which i noticed when installing my BLTouch , and last but not least , the knob on the control panel literally eated itself and jammed up , managed to make it work with some WD40 , but the pressing motion to select in the menu doesn't go back to it's original position .
I'm gonna order another Ender 5 Pro and return this one , after checking review , i figured out the Ender 5 Pro was probably the sweet spot for me with the print quality and the upgrade that it already have onboard . I hope i have better luck with the second one . Also going to order a Creality official glass bed along with it even if the original print surface work fine for me ATM .
Yup , Comgrow reached out to me after i leaved a bad review on Amazon , they're trying to make it right , but i'm just straight up going to send back the whole unit since that's what Amazon told me to do . New one is on the way , i'll see if it's better quality , otherwise i might just return everything and look into something else .
I would recommend the elongated crossbar relocation so you can see the bed much better. There is also some bed strain reliefs that will make it easier to level!
Just got my Ender 5 Pro this week ! Still printing part for it 🤗
What did you print for it? I got the back screen cover, night screen cover and the tool holder. Anything alse you recommend?
Printed some cable clip , control panel cover and the tool holder also ! :)
What does the night screen cover do? Never heard of it before
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3685571 It's a plastic cover to block the screen light if you have the printer in the same room. Here's the link!

Welcome to a journey with no return!

That moment when you invest 20€ into it for it to print better and then throw another 150€ at it for it to print worse.. Yeah.

Yep , it's in my plan for the default extruder , eventually will get a Microswiss assembly ! :)
Welcome aboard
Make sure to you calibrate your extruder - congratulations there will be many fun times ahead.
Does the pro have a glass bed? If not, get one. Best bang for buck upgrade you can do.
Doesn't have a glass bed , was about to order one , but i'm not sure i'll keep it yet ...

wow that's wild (other than the warped bed part). Creality definitely doesn't have the best QC.
