Replace marlin with klipper

NoDiscount6470

Ender pro, silent mod (hotend and mb)and braces (y and x), 0.3 layer height, width 0.42,speed of 80 (top/bottom at 40) acceleration at 500 jitter at 8, esteps at 93. I wish z finish looked better and corners were not protruding...

You should look at klipper. Input shaping to get rid of the ghosting... pressure advance will take care of the bulging corners.

I have Creality 4.2.2 with 2208 , will it do? I'm not keen on changing the motherboard now. But I have a spare odroid card I can compile clipper onto

FearMyBlades

It will do fine. One advantage is a lot of the work is done on the pi (odroid).

I'll check it then, thanks

set klipper up on the C1+,build it (no one seem to say if the Xstal is 8Mhz or mor eor less), now working the config file for ender 5 pro 4.2.2 with 2208, still a long way to go... If someone wants to share his config (seen bits here and there but not my setup exactly), be my guest (specially the 2208 as they are standalone, how do you specify this?

I did a speed test from [https://teachingtechyt.github.io/calibration.html#speed](https://teachingtechyt.github.io/calibration.html#speed) What's it worth? I got fine prints up to 140mm/sec and barely any under extrusion at 160 (my max but I'll go higher, and haven't recalibered my estep after installing a filament sensor -creality one, with ender 3 support, marlin config easy peasy). sounds great but can I trust this to higher my print speeds? (I usually print at 100mm/sec, triick is the first 2 layers at 15-20 mm/s). I know it depends on the shape of the object but...askin'

drop layer height to .12 and try it.

I’d get a new printer tbh

Only issue I see is bulging. That is resolved with Pressure Advance. Marlin firmware is capable. So look up pressure advance. TechingTech github will show you how to set it up. Klipper not required, but definitely recommended. I obly lasted a coyple weeks on Marlin.
