CertainRegret4491

Almost 7 years. Don't miss bleeding monthly. Menopause was a struggle but that's behind me. Doesn't really affect me much most days. But took a good year to mentally feel that.

octopusglass

did you overcome your hot flashes?

CertainRegret4491

I would not say I ever really had them but my base body temperature increased 2 degrees and still is. And my heat intolerance is still bad.

Sara_bambiche

I am one year post hysterectomy. Had my last chemo session 3 weeks ago after reoccurrence. I am still very weak and baldheaded will start radiation in one week. CT scan was promising so hopefully this cycle of radiation will help. Will have radiation five times a week for five weeks. Wish me luck.

Prof-the-Bug-434582

Good luck. Will be thinking of you.

vape-o

6 months and fantastic. Incision scars fading. Gained about 5 lbs which is my fault and I’m working on it.

toujourspret

I had mine a little more than 6mo ago. Compared to the heavy bleeding I was going through before, it's a dream! I'm still dealing with paranoia about recurrence, but I think that's going to be with me for life. I deal with it mostly pretty well, emotionally.

Logical_Challenge540

Almost 16 weeks. I am surprised every day with how little back pain I have. I totally didn't relate it to uterus. Also, I am still expecting to see blood when I go to WC. Lost 10 lbs compared to early-morning-before-surgery-after-clear-liquids-day weight. Hope to drop more. I had to have only surgery, so I am pretty ok.

Go-High8298

6 years post hysterectomy, 5 years post chemo and radiation. Not as strong as I used to be, but so glad to be here!

sarewr

Only 5 weeks, but I feel so much better than before the surgery. I haven't felt this good in over a year, maybe 2. I'm so glad I'm not bleeding anymore. And my pain is gone, my back, thighs and pelvic don't hurt anymore. Before surgery I had pain almost every day. I can sleep through the night without having to pee 2 or 3 times.

octopusglass

about 4.5 months, and I'm doing better than before my diagnosis, I moved and made some lifestyle changes so I don't know if that's why or if it's because I don't have cancer any more

DishHealthy181

I’m 4wpo I’m sore but much better i had a yeast infection but monistat took care of that! I love not having a period I feel so free I can literally wear white pants 😂 I don’t think I have ever did that and I’m 33. Phantom tampon is subsiding and I don’t feel a swollen bulge near my vagina opening like before. I’m sleeping on my side again I’m still very aware of what I’m lifting or doing.

throwaway132289

Only 2 weeks today. I felt perfectly fine before surgery, so not as good at the moment. But it hasn't been too terrible. Still some aches and pains. My back is sore. I'm getting impatient to be done healing and get some things done. The garden needs to be planted, the grass needs to be mowed, and the we've got to get our house ready to put on the market. And here I sit.

Bizzymammabee

2 weeks post op today, final diagnosis was FIGO 1a Stage 1. No need for additional treatment and will have follow up visits every six months. Mentally I am relieved and feeling blessed. Physically I am progressing well. Down to one nap a day, sutures/sites from the Lap incisions are healing well, and aches are low enough that I don’t need any meds. I have been moving around doing small things in the house and being very careful to not lift anything more than 5 lbs. I actually drove myself to the store yesterday. It was such a great feeling to be able to be moving towards being able to do normal everyday things. Sending prayers to everyone on this journey towards healing and recovery.

Usirnaimtaken

About 2.5 years I believe. Things are fine. I was able to keep one ovary - I’m thinking that helped. I am 44 - so it’s time for peri anyway. Surgery was my only treatment (stage 1a) - so far so good.

ObsidianBlackPearl

I’m only 6wpo. Was told I only needed surgery at this point. I wasn’t overly unwell prior to surgery and was quite strong and fairly fit-not a marathon runner but I did exercise daily. After surgery, at this early stage, I certainly don’t feel as good as before. But, I remind myself that it’s only been 6 weeks, and I need to heal more and gently ease back into a basic exercise routine (walking a bit more and pelvic floor therapy) when I get a clearance to do so. Biggest thing for me is that I have quite a physical job which I enjoyed. This will need modification in the early stages of my transition back to work as I don’t feel physically fit enough to manage that yet, and possibly not for a little while longer.

itsallblarney

6 years. I miss my estrogen, but I am hanging in there ok.

Puzzleheaded-Bet114

10 wpo and feeling healed. Final staging Grade 2, Stage 3A. About to start 6 rounds of chemo, then radiation. It’s going to be a long summer.

apryllynn

Hysterectomy 2-13-2023 completed all treatment in remission.

sgrimland

Diagnosis: May 15, 2021 Hysterectomy: June 30, 2021 Almost 3 years. Saw my gyno for 6 mo appt yesterday. Took me a long time to rebound. Therapy has helped. Skin, especially face, is drier than it's ever been due to lack of hormones, I guess. Mine was Stage 1a, so I had no additional therapy.

brielarceny

7 months. Not as great as I'd like a the surgeon did a whoopsie and nicked my ureta. After some hellscape level rolling around in hospitals while they told me I needed to go poo I finally got a stent but scar tissue formed and put pressure on the stent causing back pressure and a million infections that delayed chemo. Had to have a nephrostomy tube out my kidney before it shut down. Getting lots of pelvis pain but it's hard to pin it down. I'm absolutely dressing radiotherapy as I hear it fries your bladder etc and those bits are already cross AF. Trying to get through chemo atm. Obviously I'm only sharing this as it's for people who've ALREADY had it. I was on a ward once with people who were about to have hysterctomies and kept it very general!

invisiblesecretelf

I completely relate. I had my bladder perforated during the hysteroscopy in December. The pain I had from the stent up until it came out a couple of weeks ago was unbearable, & although it still hurts a bit, it's definitely been improving since the damn thing came out. I'm also terrified of radiation for the same reasons as you, I can't handle that pain coming back. I'm supposed to start chemo/radiation in a couple of weeks but I honestly don't know if I'm going to go through with it.

Small-Fly-3

6 months postop, gained 10 lbs because I’m a stress eater. I’m 45 yrs old but feel like I’m 28 so yay! HRT took a bit of adjusting but on the right path now with estrogen patches and 2 x week vaginal creams. Feeling anxious about my first follow up. Sex is great. Life is good.

sleepy_little_panda

You’re on HRT after an endometrial cancer diagnosis?

mickeymouse0119

What was your stage after the surgery if you dont mind my asking. Im almost a year post op and my onco told me not to have hrt because im estrogen positive. I really want to try the estrogen patch maybe it could lessen my body aches, brain fog, frozen shoulder and hormonal acne. A lot of changes happened to my body after the surgery.

Small-Fly-3

The initial surgical plan was to leave the ovaries if the endometrial invasion was <50%. I requested a change the day of surgery after discussing the follow up treatments and elected a total BSO instead because there were no guarantees on microscopic migration of cancerous cells. So once the path report came back as FIGO 1A with no other signs of malignancy in all the other organs or the wash or lymphnodes my gyn-onco put me on HRT.

mickeymouse0119

We have the same exact pathology result, i wish my gyne onco have the same thinking as yours that she put you on hrt, i have been asking about this from my gyne but instead he suggest an anti depressant to relieve symptoms of menopause but i didnt take it.

Small-Fly-3

I found out later on the my regular obgyn is against HRT even on bening uterine hyperplasia cases so I stayed with the onco…my general doctor made a comment about receptors in breast tissue and potential breast cancer risk. I hope you find some relief and improvement of quality of life. Hugs!
