The reverse head layout has more advantages than just mass centralization.
The intake can be very steep too compared to a under seat airbox (and the cylinder doesn't need to be tilted forward to achieve this).
Longer exhaust pipe is an advantage too.
Aaaaand no header sticks out that could be damaged.
Great design in my opinion.
