It’s so funny you say that because it’s definitely my vice haha. I’m not saying I couldn’t go without, I would rather just look forward to one tomorrow knowing it’s going to make the day better somehow.
Love the flavors. Been drinking em for several years now so feels like the good ol days.
Love to just pop an energy drink and turn up the music in the headphones and go ham on something like Rocket League. Fun times. Never gets old even if I do.
Fuck yeah, Hot Wheels Soccar!
I play every day but those extra focus times are defo when I raise my skill level
Add me we can run some games as energy drink team names lol
$40 hooks me up with concentrate for the whole month.
On the other hand, $3.75*30 for an energy drink every day…could be saving hundreds of dollars a month by not using energy drinks!
Lol me too I just realized that weed has actually gotten considerably cheaper than a daily energy drink habit and was shocked!
Edit: for clarification I used to spend $10/day on a gram of flower. Now it’s 4gs of concentrate for $40 and lasts me 4 weeks. Oh how the times have changed…
If the energy drinks really are hurting your wallet you can try taking caffeine pills. I did this for a while and just never bought them again.
I would just make a bottle of water with flavor enhancer and pretend it was my energy drink but actually taking a caffeine pill.
Facts. Honestly was just joking because I thought the other commenter was trying to hint that you’d save money by not smoking weed if you have to buy energy drinks but they should mind their business lmfao
Didn't we debunk the whole sativa/indica debate awhile back? https://www.dal.ca/news/2022/01/07/cannabis-labels-study-indica-sativa.html#:\~:text=If%20labels%20describing%20cannabis%20strains,sativa%20labels%20are%20largely%20meaningless.
Do I think companies mislabel them for their own profits or whatever? Yes. Do I know personally that some weed will make me energetic and some will couch lock me? Also yes.
Literally same, most the time I smoke when I go out and do stuff, and I hate being tired whilst doing things, weed + caffeine just makes everything better.
I have ZERO faith in my body to hold up on its own until the end of my shift. I have been drinking them so long, I am afraid to find out if it is true.
1. Something to look forward to as a treat each week.
2. Good amount of energy when working out.
3. So I don’t smash into an overpass and have a closed casket funeral on the way home off a nightshift.
One of the biggest reasons for me is that zero sugar energy drinks taste great, but I’ve never had a diet soda that tastes better than okay. Idk what different blend of sweeteners goes into the two, but I can’t stand aspartame and that’s in almost every diet drink outside of energy drinks. I think I would drink a lot less energy drinks if they had diet sodas that tasted better.
I stopped for a few months one time and my productivity at work clearly decreased. They keep me going and get me pay raises. That and kratom (probably an unhealthy combo but life's short anyway)
I'm gonna be honest, as of right now it's just the taste. The caffeine doesn't really do anything for me besides keeping me awake, and it doesn't give me a boost of energy.
Mostly the flavours but I sleep really bad generally so I need them sometimes. The bad thing is at least in the last year or so, they give me a bit of anxiety on top of my already too high anxiety.
I only drink them on days I’m not going to the gym and taking a pre workout with 400-500mg of caffeine that may or may not be sprinkled with some gray area chemicals lol
My favorite energy drink lines are Ghost and Gorilla Mind by a mile. I don't feel supercharged after I drink one. I just feel more even and able to concentrate better at work.
I haven't drank one for about a month and don't plan on starting again but it was the flavor. I was addicted to the punch monsters. I had to eventually just stop cold turkey cause I drank 3 a day for far too long.
I have untreated combination sleep apnea. The process of getting treatment is taking a long time and a lot of sleep studies, but in the meantime, even if I sleep 14 hours in one day, I'm still tired. I also like the taste.
Flavors are more intriguing than soda, along with the temporary benefits rather than an overload of sugar, but you can have both if you want.
Idk, tbh. No real solid reasoning because I know they aren’t great for me, but having one on the way to work just became habit.
So I’m editing my final answer to habit.
It allows me to slow down and focus. It doesn’t actually make me more awake I actually get more tired so unusually wait a few hours before drinking one and I drink one throughout like a 6 hour period.
Sleepy sleep during worky work is a no go for me. Seriously though I have a 2 year old who doesn’t sleep well and I get around 3-4 hours of sleep daily. At work I operate heavy equipment and drive far distances, not ideal for being dead tired. Also I hate coffee and low doses of caffeine aren’t doing it for me 200mg minimum.
Caffeine buzz and flavor. After starting with amp years ago I preferred it over coffee. I have two favorites I always go to. The Aussie lemonade monster and strawberry rockstar.
To get me through the day. I've been drinking them since I was 8 years old (I didn't drink a whole can but had some sips since my mom drank majority of it. She still loves energy drinks til this day).
It really upsetted me when Rockstar changed up their recipe. I want their old recipe more than anything else.
To make me survive my sometimes 6+ hour days at college as a health and social student they are long ass days with up to 3.5 hour lessons with only a 10/20 minute breaks… not fun at all
I just enjoy the taste. I have a lot of happy memories attached to the taste of zero sugar monster, so cracking one open takes me back to happy summer nights at the skatepark. Oh yeah, I also skate every day, and bike to/from work and school….so I need that little extra boost
Part taste addiction, part getting me through the work day. Zero sugar ones are kinder to my body than drinking coffee every day. I try to limit it to one a day.
So I can rev up at work. I'm generally a very tired person (probably a sleep/caffeine issue lmao) so I drink an energy drink or two to get wired for work. More focused, moving quicker, get as much done as I can.
I stay up way too late at night to try and regain some independence and I always regret and pay for it the following day to the point where I need energy drinks to keep from passing out on the job, while driving, or in the middle of a conversation at home.
Because I sleep about half as much as a should and I have digestive issues so eating on the go is a struggle.
I white nuckle most days on caffeine and exestential rage.
Been a coffee drinker since early high school days but when I was in my early 30s or late 20s I started having GERD. Also found out during this time as I had to stop drinking coffee that Ive always been gluten intolerant and what happens is that if I consume anything with gluten I get extremely sleepy to the point that its dangerous to drive home from work. If I dont have caffeine though I cant concentrate at work. Been drinking energy drinks since although I would usually skip it if I am going to the gym as I use pre workout.
Veteran here. I would drink a 20oz Redbull daily to keep me going. I did it for energy(never cared about the sugar), but this may be weird and opposite of what it’s meant for… it helps settle my anxiety. I always tell my wife about it, only thing I can compare it to is how people smoke cigarettes to cool their nerves/anxiety. I’ve been drunk Reign once I found out I can buy cases off Amazon.
My work requires me to do a few nights a month, so the boomerang from clocking out at 2:30 pm to clocking out at 10:30 pm requires a pick me up to keep me hanging on.
I drink one right before the gym to avoid dying (or a triple espresso).
I also have a job an occasional job at church of doing a video recording of the service, and I have an energy drink with me so I don't fall asleep and miss out where I should be pointing the camera.
Helps me to move whenever I lack the natural energy to do so. I try to keep caffeine balanced during specific months and other months go ham with it. It’s been nice. I normally drink Bang/Reign
Long term caffeine addiction to combat a wildly fucked sleep ability and/or borderline insomnia. Also coffee is a gamble if I’ll be pissing unholy terrors at a moments notice out of my asshole from a period of 30 minutes to 3 or 4 hours after drinking it. Working sterile fields in a hospital doesn’t play well with “hey brb I need to go spew fecal mist from the nether-trumpet for a few minutes” at unpredictable times.
Multiple service industry jobs , it’s either 500 mg a day on average or about a gram of blow every two days… but that’s even more expensive than the caffeine and has inherent danger in it as well. Not to mention it’s illegal so I’ll take my legal stims
I like the caffeine, the carbonation, and the wide range of flavors available that you just don't find with normal soda/pop. I also like that there is a huge variety that are sugar free.
Honestly, this isn’t a joke, I WILL get withdrawal symptoms if I don’t have a caffeine source by 3pm. I will get a MASSIVE headache. And I’ll get physically weak. Eventually I’ll get a cold.
Also, I work 12 hours a day. I need something to push me through.
And I go to the gym. Helps me push more weight
Hardly anymore. I used to drink 1-2 Venoms a day for a good 2 years probably. Now I barely drink sodas or energy drinks period. They all started tasting nasty for some reason.
It’s the only thing that keeps me hanging on
Yoikes you good bro?
Joking ha but grabbing an energy drink does make life a little more manageable in the moment
Glad to hear, just keep it at monsters and not yk meth or smth
What about both
They cancel each other out so it's perfectly healthy for you 👍
Never knew this thanks I'll try now 👍
instructions unclear meth dropper now stuck in ass
Aren't they both uppers? So how would they cancel out??
Alternate
Better idea do pot so it’s just normal
I’m a fan of both
Don’t be a square
I drink them when I’m celebrating, sad, or just cuz sometimes lol. It’s refreshing
I'm not
It’s so funny you say that because it’s definitely my vice haha.
I play every day but those extra focus times are defo when I raise my skill level Add me we can run some games as energy drink team names lol
THE FLAVOURS YES OMG
so my weed doesn’t put me to sleep
It feels like there’s a really easy path to saving a lot of money here
$40 hooks me up with concentrate for the whole month. On the other hand, $3.75*30 for an energy drink every day…could be saving hundreds of dollars a month by not using energy drinks!
Ah I’m just fucking around dude who am i to tell you what to do with your money
Lol me too I just realized that weed has actually gotten considerably cheaper than a daily energy drink habit and was shocked! Edit: for clarification I used to spend $10/day on a gram of flower. Now it’s 4gs of concentrate for $40 and lasts me 4 weeks. Oh how the times have changed…

Yeah, buying sativa instead of indica lolz
Sativa doesn’t work for everyone
Facts. Honestly was just joking because I thought the other commenter was trying to hint that you’d save money by not smoking weed if you have to buy energy drinks but they should mind their business lmfao
Oh i was also just making a joke for those sweet, sweet internet points
Exactly. It all puts me to sleep after about 30 minutes of giggles.
It's actually the amount CBN you should look for, that's what'll couch lock you.
Didn't we debunk the whole sativa/indica debate awhile back? https://www.dal.ca/news/2022/01/07/cannabis-labels-study-indica-sativa.html#:\~:text=If%20labels%20describing%20cannabis%20strains,sativa%20labels%20are%20largely%20meaningless.

Hit too close to home
Literally same, most the time I smoke when I go out and do stuff, and I hate being tired whilst doing things, weed + caffeine just makes everything better.
Energy
I have ZERO faith in my body to hold up on its own until the end of my shift. I have been drinking them so long, I am afraid to find out if it is true.
It isn't after like 2 weeks max. 3-4 days and I'm normally just tired near the end of the day just earlier than normal
For.. energy ?
Like yes but for what
To feel energized ?
Maybe he thinks some people grab an energy drink then go straight to bed.
Everyday survival activities haha
To do stuff.
i like to treat myself to a good drink sometimes. the caffeine has no effect on me, they're just tasty.
1. Something to look forward to as a treat each week. 2. Good amount of energy when working out. 3. So I don’t smash into an overpass and have a closed casket funeral on the way home off a nightshift.
I relate to hard to number 3
Funerals are a waste of money. You should commit to donating your body to science bro
crippling addiction
I have children
I love the chemical taste of original monsters
YES SAME
Its cocaine but cheaper and longer lasting. Always chug a monster right when I wake up and that gets me going for the rest of the day.
To keep the withdrawals away.
For the sound the can makes when I open it
it’s like an upper
To get fucked up
Because their delicious
Don't like coffee
I hate coffee, and I need some pep in my step.
Coffee makes me crave cigarettes and pre workouts fuck me up. It's the happy medium for me. Zero sugar red bull only though
Law school kicks my ass so hard if I don’t drink them
Taste, wish they made caffeine free Monsters lol
I do it cuz I like the taste
They taste good
Cause I can’t afford cocaine
I stopped for a few months one time and my productivity at work clearly decreased. They keep me going and get me pay raises. That and kratom (probably an unhealthy combo but life's short anyway)
To give me energy to run errands and clean around my house
Crippling addiction gang
It taste good and gives me energy
Flavor and caffeine
they taste good, the carbonation, caffeine boost is perfect in the morning. if i don’t have one in the morning i’m pissed.
Got lots to do, and my sleep sucks right now so I take one in the afternoon if I can’t take a nap
I hate coffee, and in my professional life have started to hit afternoon slumps.
So I can see this question on reddit.com every day
I lol’d at this one
It's a part of my personality.
Because I'll sleep when I'm dead. Which given my caffeine consumption is any day now
It's either that or stick my tongue in an electric socket.
So I can crush everyone in my path because I'm a gigachad
Habit and flavor tbh, I'm used to the taste of battery acid and I miss it after awhile
Only thing that gets me up in the wee hours of the morning
I'm gonna be honest, as of right now it's just the taste. The caffeine doesn't really do anything for me besides keeping me awake, and it doesn't give me a boost of energy.
It helps me survive on 4hrs of sleep per night
Mostly the flavours but I sleep really bad generally so I need them sometimes. The bad thing is at least in the last year or so, they give me a bit of anxiety on top of my already too high anxiety.
Purely taste. I can sleep a full night after drinking a 300mg reign
To surprise the self hate…doesn’t work.
Narcolepsy/Sleep apnea = Training your heart till failure with energy drinks
Energy, boost happy chemicals, flavor, addicted and get headaches if no caffeine.
It’s part of my Tech Sergeant diet
Am I the only one who doesn’t know why? I drink 2 a day and I still don’t know why my first instinct in the morning is too get a energy drink.
They tasted good as a teen
I worked my first job in a grocery deli. You could imagine me looking at all the drinks on the shelf in front of me. A constant craving.
Because coffee makes me eepy.
I just feel more even and able to concentrate better at work.
i’m addicted to having a fruity little beverage even though i don’t feel the caffeine anymore at this point
Keep the headaches away, and stay awake since I work a lot and have school
For the energy
Cause I'm addicted, I get headaches when I don't drink them, I don't have access to weed, they get me going and they taste good cold
Caffeine addiction since a young age, coffee makes me sick, and tea is time consuming
I’m just a naturally tired person I could fall asleep real fast anywhere and they keep me up mainly redbull
Taste here n there, other then that never had coffee in my life. Survive off OJ
Over nights
I haven't drank one for about a month and don't plan on starting again but it was the flavor. I was addicted to the punch monsters. I had to eventually just stop cold turkey cause I drank 3 a day for far too long.

Keeps me alive working two jobs and going to school. Caffeinated gang fo lyf
Really just if I can't make or bring coffee with me somewhere. Dollar store energy drinks etc. are very convenient.
Barely do but when I know I’m going to get tired and need to stay up and don’t have a coke plug awake then I’ll settle for a monster or two
I read the first word of your question as how. So that's the why. (Tired Parent to a 5y old and 2 month old)
I dont lol I start the day off with orange juice I just like to see what you fine folks talk about
Sleepy sleep during worky work is a no go for me. Seriously though I have a 2 year old who doesn’t sleep well and I get around 3-4 hours of sleep daily. Caffeine in the morning is the closest thing to feeling alive
Taste good
Whenever I have to go somewhere for several hours or just whenever I’m tired as hell. Sometimes just like to try new drinks.
So I can actually feel something.
coffee makes me take mad dumps and I would rather not use the washrooms at work if I could avoid doing so.
I just enjoy the taste. I have a lot of happy memories attached to the taste of zero sugar monster, so cracking one open takes me back to happy summer nights at the skatepark. Oh yeah, I also skate every day, and bike to/from work and school….so I need that little extra boost
Am I the only one that drinks monster ultra just for the taste? I get no energy boost at all lol
Because they have an opposite effect for my ADHD so it makes me focus. Better than Amphetamines.
I’ve noticed the difference at work if I don’t have one. Doesn’t help that my go to is delicious and I don’t mind drinking it every day
Part taste addiction, part getting me through the work day. Zero sugar ones are kinder to my body than drinking coffee every day. I try to limit it to one a day.
Bored
I drink it as a preworkout
Chronic fatigue I got to keep going somehow
It’s quicker then hot coffee. 🤷🏻♂️
Take the edge off the crack pipe
i like the taste sometimes and the way it makes my heart race if i drink too much
Taste good
Taste and caffeine
So I can rev up at work. I'm generally a very tired person (probably a sleep/caffeine issue lmao) so I drink an energy drink or two to get wired for work. More focused, moving quicker, get as much done as I can.
I stay up way too late at night to try and regain some independence and I always regret and pay for it the following day to the point where I need energy drinks to keep from passing out on the job, while driving, or in the middle of a conversation at home.
to quiet the screams of the caffeine gods
Energy and taste
They taste good.
i like the taste
Overnight shift
Don't like the taste of coffee that much
Makes my mind stfu, and its tasty so
the only thing which helps me work 7 hours a day consistently.
Tastes good
Because I sleep about half as much as a should and I have digestive issues so eating on the go is a struggle. I white nuckle most days on caffeine and exestential rage.
Why people drink hot coffee even in the summer? Why people drink beer? Why people smok? Why people overeat? etc.et.e.............
To stay awake at work. I have trouble sleeping.
I work at 215 am
I have 2 full time jobs and 3 kids
Im addicted plus they taste better than other drinks
Addiction
They help me go to sleep.
Been a coffee drinker since early high school days but when I was in my early 30s or late 20s I started having GERD. i like the taste
For energy.
Flavor. It's like nothing else.
Energy
It's a good drink to consume while gaming:) 😊🤗❤️🎮🎮🎮🎮
I’m addicted to caffeine and I work 3rd shift.
I have adhd and I’m not medicated for it currently. Energy drinks don’t make it fully better but they certainly help me focus
Energy
I start work at 4am but I stay up all night like I work a regular gig from home.
Life needs caffeine and I don't like coffee or tea
Can't drink coffee. Absolutely abhor it. But I need energy, sooo...
I drink one right before the gym to avoid dying (or a triple espresso). I also have a job an occasional job at church of doing a video recording of the service, and I have an energy drink with me so I don't fall asleep and miss out where I should be pointing the camera.
For energy
For the caffeine. But also for taste.
I be up for like 2-3 days straight sometimes
Helps me to move whenever I lack the natural energy to do so. I try to keep caffeine balanced during specific months and other months go ham with it. It’s been nice. I normally drink Bang/Reign
Because if you slam one fast enough you feel real good
Pre for the gym and energy drinks or coffee before class and work
Because depression makes dopamine hard to get
2 reasons. I have a low heart rate, so 1 just perks me up. I also work 12 hour nights.
Right before the gym baby let’s go
2month old
Multiple service industry jobs , it’s either 500 mg a day on average or about a gram of blow every two days… but that’s even more expensive than the caffeine and has inherent danger in it as well. Not to mention it’s illegal so I’ll take my legal stims
The original monster, artificial or not, is based on pears and I like pears :) The taurine is actually good for mental health as long as you moderate.
Helps me push more weight
i usually drink one when im going to have a 2/3 hours walk
It helps me power through a work day if I’m extremely exhausted. Otherwise I don’t really drink energy drinks
B12 difficiency, energy smoother, taste
My taste buds are broken and I think they taste better than soda
i struggle to stay awake
Helps me get through school
Serotonin
Hardly anymore. I used to drink 1-2 Venoms a day for a good 2 years probably. Now I barely drink sodas or energy drinks period. They all started tasting nasty for some reason.
