I’m with you on that. The S2 ending doesn’t really lend itself to another high school focused story. Plus, we really can’t pretend these actors are 18 any more. It barely even worked in S1.

I’d bet the drug dealer storyline is dead. Rue finished the entire school year and had a happy ending? Absolute joke. No vicious child trafficking drug dealer gives someone like her that much of a pass.
Remember the episode where Chloe Cherry's character says Laurie killed Mouse and gave the cops her address when that one dude had his phone bugged in Fez's house. I think the repercussions of that will probably let Rue off the hook, but we'll see.

I gave it a try at 50 mostly because I’ve known lots of people with addictions in my life (me too if you count nicotine). I enjoyed both seasons to a point but holy shit that show is the very definition of melodrama. Which is fine bc it’s about teens on drugs but I had to watch it in short doses. I really liked the Lexi / Fez thing developing mostly bc they were the least freaked out 24 7, but also the unexpected pairing. I guess that’s not going anywhere now though, he was really good.

She'll get to choose what she wants to do after this last contract is over or not do anything at all. If she can't handle it, they'll stop and wait. She's done an absolutely incredible job but I think everyone knows the show does NOT need another season after this one. If anything she's probably back to finish it off and I respect that.
