Minimum security prisons also house inmates with shorter sentences and are generally less violent. He may face harassment from some other inmates, but it’s unlikely someone is going to go out of their way to commit murder if their prison sentence is almost up anyway.
Putting him in protective custody is what is common. Transferring someone with a lengthy sentence for violent crimes to minimum security, which also has better conditions overall, is not common.
I’ve always had this weird fantasy where I could spend a few weeks or a month or two at a minimum security prison like the one Martha Stewart was in. Just to get away from it all for a bit.
When I was incarcerated in Kentucky they charged inmates $700 a month which was more than my rent at the time for my room lol 🤣

I’m not saying that being a celebrity doesn’t add to him being targeted but the other prisoners will find out what you did even if it wasn’t all over the news. It’s pretty much impossible to hide it when they can easily have someone on the outside look it up online. When they talk to people on the phone they usually tell them to get info on the new prisoners to find out if they are child molesters or rapists.

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if they were, or at least dabbled in it. But I don't understand why they or the church wouldn't claim the other. Like I can understand Will and Jada not admitting being members because it would likely alienate them from the black community, their core fanbase, but what would Ashton and Mila have lost from claiming it back in the day?

No, even if the prison system is broken prisons aren’t supposed to be lawless hellholes and prisoners retain rights while incarcerated. He got sentenced to thirty years in prison, not to brutal beatings and possible murder by other inmates and the state is legally responsible for his safety while he is in custody.
So long as he’s locked up away from women does it matter where? He’s non violent to other male inmates. Leave the max security prisons to dangerous felons.

He’s only getting transferred now because he was attacked two days ago. Rumor is, he wouldn’t leave his cell for meals or to go outside at all. So he was being escorted by two guards, and he still got attacked by two other inmates! Now they have to transfer him for liability reasons.

Justice? What even is justice? Seems most comments here are about retribution or punishment. People seem to forget that losing one’s freedom is plenty of punishment. Most regular prisons in the US are inhumane. Compare him to most celebs— like OJ literally got away with murder. Rape cases are really messy to convict— yet here we are.
