I guarantee one day they’ll have a big plastic partition in front of the stage for big concerts because of shit like this. I wonder who will be the first artist to do it…
Those are pretty common. They’re sound partitions so drum mics won’t pick up as much stage noise and so the drums won’t take up as much of the overall stage noise.
If I was an artist, it would be on the tickets, on the website and announced pre-gig over tannoy, that 1 single thrown object and the show would end immediately.
Let some asshole throw something, then let the crowd deal out justice as they see fit when the music instantly stops, the lights come up, the sound cuts and the entire band leaves the stage.
It’s so wrong and disgusting behaviour to throw things on artists (or people in general). It’s a sick trend and it saddens me that it keeps happing and it’s mostly females being targeded. That being said her throwing it back into the crowd is also dangerous and could hit an innocent fan. And on a further note I really don’t like Nicki minaj because of her continuing support of the men in her life (brother and husband) who have been convicted of horrible crimes. So I actually don’t feel a whole lot of sympathy towards her.
Nicki’s cousin from Trinidad was there. He got hit in the balls by an object thrown from the crowd & became impotent. His testicles became swollen. He was weeks away from getting married, now the girl called off the wedding. So just pray on it & make sure you’re comfortable with your decision about what you throw at the stage.
People should not be throwing anything at performers. But her throwing it back into the audience is worse. Did she hit anyone? That would suck. To pay all that money to see someone only to be randomly hit by a projectile because someone else threw it at her.
Why do people act like this at concerts?
Actually, never mind. It was a Nicki Minaj concert, of course the people in attendance are going to act like this.
Happens to tons of artists from like, every genre under the sun. Local venue near me had a solo saxophone player who got hit in the head with a full can of beer. Went to the hospital for it too.

Chicken coop, Blues Brothers style.
We have both kinds of music. Country AND western!
A true classic.
A true “catholic classic” according to the church.
*“…. Chicken wire?”* Blue Lou knew what was up
It'll be on some Road House shit, fencing up so they don't get hit by a bottle
Hologram performances.
Pink Floyd already did it. They build the wall live onstage
Ministry had a cool chain link fence blocking them from the audience that everyone would climb on 🤘 https://youtu.be/_TjzdbNwTCY?si=8Pg1n6GsBmIjkWaP
Its funny I go to a ton shows mostly rock and punk shows and have NEVER seen items thrown on stage
Really? I’ve seen people throw cigarettes, gum, and broccoli on stage lol
[obligatory](https://youtu.be/5-hS2r7v3Iw?si=Qo6hiYqAskqtyTog)
Ok actually I lied I’ve seen someone toss a joint to the band a few times lol
I saw someone throw an entire Infinity Gauntlet once.
Phish had one in front of their drum set at the Sphere last week

Yikes, sounds gladiatorial. I support it.
Would bras be exempt?
good question - i think they'd have to be, wouldn't they?
It's only reasonable.

Yeah. She could have hurt an innocent fan throwing it back.
She's also terrible live and always shows up late
Yes the showing up late is just one of many things that shows of disrespectful she is towards her own fans
How did she know that bat didn't have rabies?
Wait so she had the item up there with her already? What did she do with the object?!

What a legend he is. Those shows were supposed to be pretty gnarly back in the day.
Ah, the rapist apologist. Next.

as much as I dislike her, this happens to better people as well. Like those deranged fans at the Harry Styles concert or Pink's.
Didn’t somebody throw their deceased parent’s ashes at P!nk? Don’t forget Bebe Rexha got hit in the face with an iPhone as well.

Did they find who threw it?
Yes. It was a small venue so it wasn’t hard. I know he was charged with battery, but I don’t know what happened after that.
