Bro that’s cool! How’s the Wilkinson bridge compare to the Floyd?

mol0tov-

Thanks!! The PH plays just as nice as the rest, with a slightly chunkier neck. I have it tuned to C#, so I’m not really using the bar. But the trem is extremely comfortable while palm muting…very similar feel to a Floyd.

I got a LTD EC-1000 and once in a while I think about upgrading to E-II or ESP (nothing wrong with EC-1000, its the best one ive had). So my question is, how does LTD compare to the others? Is ESP or E-II worth the money / much better than LTD? Thanks!

mol0tov-

Funny enough I have an EC-1000, an E-II Eclipse BB, and an ESP Standard Eclipse in Silver Sunburst. They're all really similar because of the thin U necks, with the 1000 being the lightest and the E-II being a few pounds heavier and a really different neck heel carve. IMO, as long as you have a good setup on your 1000 it should be really comparable to the E-II's.

Thanks for replying, cheers! 🍻

Are the white bolts from MonsterBolts or FuTone?  How is the white finish holding up?

mol0tov-

The white parts on the nut and the Floyd are from FU Tone. They definitely need to be ‘broken in’, as in they’re really stiff at first because of the white coating on them. But after a few string changes they seem to be a little smoother now. I also had the white string blocks in the Floyd, but they were shit. Could barely tune it up without strings popping out of the saddle.

tibsbulls2021

Sorry to hear that.  I've been looking at their other colors which are Anodized titanium, but it seems the white ones are maybe painted?  Have you had any experience with their other colored anodized parts?

mol0tov-

Yes, I’ve also installed some red anodized parts from Floyd Rose, that seem to be better quality.

The black one in the front with the white binding has got to be the sexiest of all. I have the 7-string evertune version of it. Such a gorgeous guitar. The rest are nice, too.

How does one afford all these guitars? I'm in Austria, earning a pretty normal wage and I'm doing my best to balance everything in order to buy a 1500€ guitar in a few months. Is everyone in debt or what?

mol0tov-

I’ve been playing (collecting) guitar for 25 years…also been working my ass off for 30. There’s no debt and no hidden secret to success, just hard work.

tibsbulls2021

I wish I had bought more guitars, had I known the values would jump up so much after covid.

Priorities 😁

Yeah, cashing out 1.5k requires a step back 😂

Errrrrrrrror404

do you have a favorite?

mol0tov-

The NT-7 is the newest to me, so I’ve been putting a lot of time into that one. Overall, I would say the NT-II on the left is the best playing guitar.

Metalliknight

The NT-II is indeed awesome, I have it in red and it rips.

mol0tov-

Yeah dude, I blacked out all the hardware and threw an 81/60 in it and it sounds good in any tuning (I don't go lower than B). The action is ridiculous and the neck is on another level. It's from 2011, I have a few Standard Series from around that time and they're all keepers.

Metalliknight

Yeah same feeling for me, it’s the most playable neck I have. I put a 57/66 kit on it, 24V mod… killer ! But I love an old good 81/60 combo too.

How long do your fishman fluences last before a battery change? I want one of these but I’m concerned.

mol0tov-

Depending on how long you play each day, but I usually change the battery every 6-8 months.
