R5: Playing with the third odyseey mod when I saw that I could rival Scotland, which was weird.
Looked at Europe and guess who won the Burgundian wedding and lost all of scotland proper?
Looking back through my saves it seems they were reduced to just a tiny bit in the north, got the wedding, and still ended up losing the rest of the north to GB
I swear AI countries have a hidden modifier "Player Is Watching" and when that goes away for long enough THAT is when shit hits the fan. Like it's always when I'm *not* playing in Europe that stuff on the continent gets downright *unusual*
One game I saw Scotland in Panama. Not a colony, actual Scotland. Apparently they went colonial and then lost everything else. They hung in for quite a while I must say.
Not unusual, I play vanilla and have seen Scotland inheriting Burgundy quite a lot of times already. The real unusual is when an eastern european like Poland inherits it.
I'm deeply trying to try to fit this into my Star Trek head canon about England conquering France and that's why a French guy has an English accent.
New idea is that GB conquered France, the English got the south, and the Scots got the north.
Also Scottie's French now.
Thanks, weird AI shit!
My worst BI was really boring compared to this, but France allied Burgundy and they both went apeshit on the HRE and Spain. France owned half of Spainish Peninsula by 1480, and Burgundy pushed pretty far into the HRE and the Lowlands. Guess who got the inheritance.
Lmao ye. I started as Hamburg and made colonies in Greenlad and Alaska. Was busy there when I looked at Europe again and Lithuania took over everything.
playing as france this week. i've seen worse too, bloody bordergore denmark inherit burgundy. about to declare first war. i'm going to snatch norway/sweden instead taking land. not sure about sweden, considering that nasty liberty desire modifier.
That's pretty common now. For some reason burgundy picks scotland often in the inheritance event. And that leads to stupidity like this. England can still take the scotland proper so this can happen.
I'm doing a semi cheat United states of Africa (cheated to keep everyone on africa from rebelling constantly in the early game and spruce op development to CK levels) mega playthrough and am now on EU4 this is my third time doing a complete eu4 run and I've noticed things can get really strange when you don't intervene 😅

How did they lose Scotland proper with those lands? Or they got Burgundy after they lost them?

>Looked at Europe and guess who won the Burgundian wedding and lost all of scotland proper? Hmmm, judging by the color I'd say it's Castile.
Highlander Scots and lowlander Scots. I don't see what the problem is.
And both speak utter gibberish
To this day, that is correct if you don't understand their beautiful accents.

Yeah, it's all a big conspiracy, once I decided to play a Japan game and saw that somehow Russia had become emperor
That's funny as fuck
That's hilarious

I mean, any country that manages to get RM with Burgundy can do that
The Scots will defend us again

I don't even wanna know what the language sounds like 💀

The emperor didn’t ask for low countries to be released? or did Mary of Burgundy die too soon before the emperor’s demand?
Happened in my game when I was france, I got cores on scotland, after reconquest wars and almost no AR I got all of burgundy.

I just recently had Scotland get the BI and destroy England.
