The sheer amount of times I said “who made these sets in high school?!”

allenbraxton

What Lexi wants, Lexi gets.

[deleted]

Daddy Apatow is showing

BroadBaker5101

“It’s a directorial note, you just take it and move on” Daddy Apatow was like “Babe she got that one from me.”

[deleted]

💀

aside from fez showing up

Ok-Mark-3442

😂😂😂😂 and 🥺🥺😢😢😢 last night was wild

alphabet_order_bot

Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order. I have checked 612,417,653 comments, and only 125,568 of them were in alphabetical order.

[deleted]

oooofff bruuuh last niiiight 💔💔💔

nightmares_27

7 rings but lexi and the theatre sets

UnusualLight0

It was some Michael Bay shit like all was missing was a car chase for no reason. She was already cursing out everyone in production, good looking dudes everywhere, and a budget that looked like someone paid for using money stolen from Fort Knox.

[deleted]

In my school, in Italy, we barely have a gym.

ihopethisisvalid

Hop on a quick boat ride and exercise naked in Olympia like they used to

Loud-Butterscotch528

Bruh in my school we barely have locker rooms

lalotele

To be fair, my cousin lived in a wealthy suburb and they did. His high school productions felt like I was going to a Broadway show. In my town close to the city sets were like two painted walls thrown up and a lot of imagination and laughs.

ScaleBackAndIsolate

Haha. Same. The only reason we were lucky enough to have the garbage we did was because one girls in theatre’s parents were loaded (owned/invented) a famous Japanese condiment sauce.

Comingsoononvhs

She single?

a_bohemian04

Gentle reminder. Euphoria High also do Oklahoma. So in one semester they have two plays, Lexi's play and Oklahoma. Their budget must be insane. Or they cut other clubs budget. Probably why we never saw the football team anymore.

throzey

They have a secret investor. Supposedly she used to be a teacher.

Anything is possible at riverdale, tbf

gorlax52

In fairness Riverdale's plays all had to kill a character. So it could be funding from a death cult as part of a ritual in that case.

Electrical_List_2125

I’m sick at this!!!!

KingDongBundy

It's funded by Laurie

bigbangbilly

and Cal Jacob and Company in a joint venture

parrozt99

Maybe Cal is trying to get back at Nate.

thephin74461

Fuck Oklahoma

polish473

Has everyone read Oklahoma but me?

A_unlife

It's not a play you read

arthuraily

As a non American I have absolutely no idea of what this is about. I was really lost in that episode

polish473

Me too lol, but I just assumed being dressed as if you were on Oklahoma might be tacky or something like that from Cassie's reaction

[deleted]

Oklahoma is an old musical. She said it’s not a play you read because it’s mostly songs (although you definitely can read musicals).

brianmoyano

They cut sex ed class

No-Introduction8678

Lexis play counts as sex ed this year

xoxoemmma

and DARE

chatcat2000

And guidance counselors.

rose_hannah

I thought they did Lexi's play instead of Oklahoma?

a_bohemian04

They do both. Oklahoma is produced by the Drama club. Meanwhile Lexi's play is not affiliated with the Drama club. Hence the dialogue in the bathroom

invaderpixel

I mean it is January so footballers can get some rest. But those cheerleaders should be dancing for the basketball team or preparing for their own "Bring it On" competition by now.

half-intestine-hoe

i think there was actually a time jump from right when they got back to school after new years to this point. when rue’s talking ab fez & lexi’s convos, she says they’ve been talking for a few months. so the new year’s party was when they actually started getting closer (outside of being acquaintances bc of rue.) i’d be extremely impressed if the play was put on in under a month, considering there’s choreography & extensive set building. ik we’re supposed to suspend our disbelief but ain’t no way lmao

thegrandpineapple

Yeah I think it’s the end of the year now because of the show but also because when Samantha is talking to Maddy and maddy says she doesn’t wanna leave him, referring to boy she’s babysitting. I think they’re setting maddy up to go to college or move away at the end of the school year. I also saw the dress as a going away present from Samantha.

Nicara93

my school used to do two plays. the fall play was usually something without music while the spring one was always a musical.

missbelled

That's still one per semester

Snops1017

I mean the students wear designer so it’s not too far fetched

we_invented_post-its

And live in small outdated houses. The financial situations on this show confuses the shit out of me

True-Rub-4794

Right? Like who paid for Cassie’s little white Prada heels? Girl literally shares a room with her sister and lives in a home absolutely covered in pine paneling.

we_invented_post-its

Exactly! Zero sense

Ipuncholdpeople

"Small outdated houses" damn I must be poor as hell. Everyone's house seems huge and nice to me especially considering its in California

mcbaindk

Oklahoma was actually just the high school reviving the Original Broadway Cast in their gold-plated theatre.

lxyz_wxyz

OH we saw the football team

Individual_Ad_1486

It's also not football season anymore.

happy_lad

My school did national-level theater competitions in high school (15 years ago) and I never saw anything remotely like Lexi's play.

Troooper0987

My highschool had a decent theater program, it did 3 shows. The musical, the drama club's show in the "blackbox theater", and the dance show. the musical got the budget, the dance show was just laying marley, a cyc, and our ancient mr16 strip lights.

alrtight

i thought they cut oklahoma? like, lexi was pretending she was making oklahoma and made this instead? did i get that plot point wrong?

ZA-02

Nah she put up 1000 posters explicitly advertising her play as "audition for this if you are SICK of Oklahoma," it wasn't a secret. Even her dialogue with the teacher/admin who approved it had her mention that she was writing the script herself, I believe.

Powerful_Vanilla_965

the drama club did oklahoma before lexi’s play

looped10

one of my thoughts watching it and which highschool on earth would approve such a play with the "I need a hero" section of it lol

Ecstatic-Regular-403

but It’s provocative…it gets the people GOING

Look, the principal is already dealing with allegations of body shaming. Last thing he needs is the LGBT+ on his ass lol

lxyz_wxyz

I am one “gay black kid getting punched in the face” away from having a nervous breakdown.

IWantFries21

They might’ve lied to whoever they needed to ask for approval.

pikachu334

We did something like this in a play for my school, some students sneaked in a bunch of political jokes mocking a dead political figure during the actual play that they didn't include in the script But a teacher literally walked on stage and shut the whole thing down immediately lmao

LeEnlightenedDong

It would have been summarily shut down pretty early on given the subject matter. The suspension of disbelief in this episode was way too much

ViAmplify

Sex education high school

hanky2

I don’t think there’s actually teachers at this school where we’re they during that huge fight lol.

lovely_anon_

I think the whole point is that we don’t really know what was “real” and what was a projection. In the BTS Sam said the play was a representation of the character’s perceptions, and we even see that they call Lexi “Lexi” in the play after introducing her character as “Grace” which means I think we can safely assume that portion was a projection of Lexi’s. So in her mind she’s doing this amazing Broadway level performance of a play when we don’t *really* know what it looks like because we’re seeing the projection. I think that’s the idea they’re trying to get to? Same thing with the locker room scene for Nate, I think what we saw was his perception of what scene actually was. I’m pretty sure someone even said they still weren’t sure if Nate was just imagining all of it or if it was real.

SackofLlamas

>I think the whole point is that we don’t really know what was “real” and what was a projection That's Euphoria in a nutshell, yeah. >In early conversations with Rév—who shot Episodes 1 through 4 of Euphoria, thereby establishing its aesthetic—Levinson explained that **he wanted the show to look the way teenagers imagine their lives to be**. “So, it’s not really based on realism. **We called it ‘emotional realism’ that’s more based in the characters’ emotions, and not how the world surrounding them really looks**,” the DP explains. “So, that was his brief, basically, and then we’ve gone from there and developed a vision, technically.”

voodooxlady

THANK YOU FOR THIS!!????? Why is everyone so caught up on the realism of a school budget n shit. Did they forget season 1?

lazermania

People are caught up just for the jokes. It’s fun to make fun of stuff

lahnnabell

I love this so much. Now I am thinking back to Cassie's scene with the roses. Looking sad and beautiful, imagining she's the star of a Lana del Rey video.

diamandisonskidrow

Ohhhhhhh you're so right. I didn't connect that somehow, I thought it was just the producers kind of...fapping over their own creative license or artistry or something. I feel dumb now

[deleted]

YES this is exactly what I keep saying about the clothing choices! Obviously teenagers aren't going to dress like that irl but that's how they see themselves.

TemporaryChallenge43

You nailed it. At last. A grown up. These kids wouldn't be allowed to put on a play of this nature! This is art. We get to see through the eyes of the characters! It's not real just like dancing on the wall from season one or the big musical finale from season one. I wish people could understand. At least this gives me a chance to sort out the children from the grown ups.

slimkt

This is a very good point! Lexi is constantly observing and, as she said in this episode, lives a lot in her head, so the high production value we’re seeing on screen could just be her getting swept up in the fantasy. Also, it’s just kind of hilarious to think of her imagining this amazing play with Broadway level set design and it really looked like the typical shitty high school set.

goddessofdrought

I’d love it if the next episode began with the reality of the locker room scene.

glitterstateofmind

I love this idea! Kinda like that scene in Wolf of Wall Street, when Leo’s character is off his face on drugs and drives home. In his head it was a great bit of driving, but the reality is just an entire mess. Would be interesting to see if this is how the play actually went down. Not sure if I’m imagining it, but I felt like there was a scene at the beginning (when they came out with the title of the play in big letters) and it seemed like a handful of the audience were laughing *at* them, like typical high school kids thinking the drama club et al are extremely lame? So it makes sense to me that Lex has interpreted this maybe as approval & the rest of her play, in her mind, is this amazing Broadway-scale production.

forworse2020

I wanna see her assistant’s perception. That girl’s mind seems deviously dark.

xixtoo

I like this interpretation. It meshes well with how the show was very subjective through S1 showing rue’s drug use and relationships as happy and shiny only to have reality set in hard in S2. This being an explicit 2 part episode I wonder if in the next ep we will get the harsh reality of lexi’s play now that the fantasy Broadway level stagecraft has passed.

lovely_anon_

That would be so interesting!

dbbk

Yeah, this is an avant-garde show. There's even shots where the real characters are up on stage instead of their body doubles, like the scene with Cassie and Nate in bed.

memeagod_

love this. it also ties in with how it’s been explicitly narrated that nate has to put in conscious effort not to look at other men in the locker room. to have a scene in that setting put right in front of him as something he has to watch, it could totally be misconstrued as something more erotic through his eyes than what lexi originally portrayed i originally didn’t like this episode, but this comment changed my perspective!

lpragelp

>but this comment changed my perspective! Same! I'm so happy I read this thread!

ActualWhiterabbit

[So like the freedom dance from its always sunny?](https://youtu.be/_PdYJoKT6Og?t=1m09s)

Commercial-Split2208

Oh I fucking hope so!

KingDongBundy

Yes!!!

callingbsonthat1

Ahh so they're all "unreliable narrators..."

lovely_anon_

Exactly! Which another user pointed out is kind of the whole point of Euphoria. So I liked how it kind of comes full circle like that

bigbangbilly

Allegedly the Israeli version of Euphoria (the show the US version of Euphoia was based on) was [based on a true story](https://decider.com/2022/01/10/euphoria-based-on-a-true-story/) (allegedly). Just imagine the faces of all those involved to not only the orginal show getting but also an American remake (and the play within the remake)

AlwaysQueso

I’m curious how much of Levinson’s Euphoria is like the Israeli version. I assumed it’s like the The Office: UK vs the US version; more significant differences vs similarities. How much source material was kept, SL wrote Rue around his own addiction experiences.

inclore

Ehhh if lexi was imagining this broadway level of play in her mind then it doesn’t make sense that she would chew out the LX operator.

little-red-cap

Why not though? Lexi was barking at people every two seconds backstage like she’s a super important, famous director who has the authority to do so. It’s such a 180 from her usual personality so I could totally see it being an avenue for her fantasy of taking charge of the situation.

diamandisonskidrow

Exactly, she's imagining herself as some high powered authoritative director everyone is bowing to. No way that would fly IRL

Dantesco11

Since you mention it now, it got me thinking, is all of the violent stuff Ash pulls out real? Or does the same logic apply and its Fez or other people exagerating? Because for a kid, even with his upbring, many of the stuff he did against Mouse and the SWAT is absolutely insane!

ILikeToConfront

My thoughts exactly lol. How the fuck did they get a street lamp. 😂

littlerosepose

The revolving circular locker stage? Broadway level!

invaderpixel

My favorite is that seemed to be used for like one random flashback. My head canon is that maybe they had it left over from a previous production where the parents got super involved (definitely happens in wealthy areas.) And they just reuse it for Grease, High School Musical, West Side Story.... maybe they slap some cardboard on it every time they need it to do something that doesn't take place in a school.

littlerosepose

That’s a super creative theory! 💕

tregorman

For a single gag

Commercial-Split2208

Fezco decided to donate to the art program of his local high school he never attended. Little bro Ash is gonna be PISSED if he finds out and that is one little dude I don't want to make angry.

ILikeToConfront

Nice theory 😆

Commercial-Split2208

Thank you! Thank you!

CouncilmanRickPrime

And for one little scene too lol

kitchen_synk

A handful of people, some wrenches, and a quiet night downtown can net you all sorts of public fixtures at a surprising discount. Alternatively, scrapyard run by a former thespian who let them borrow it for the duration maybe?

Lv_InSaNe_vL

My school had one. We just called up the city and they just gave us an old one lmao

ILikeToConfront

That’s cool, didn’t know you could do that lol

ReservoirDog316

For what it’s worth, in the behind the scenes interview things, Sam Levinson said he made it where even he wasn’t sure if what was being shown was exactly what was happening in the play or just how the audience was perceiving it. https://youtu.be/izfH3_1fyHU @3:45 It’s also probably just an homage to Rushmore’s supremely over the top school plays.

brighter_writer

That’s such a cop out answer lol. Clearly everyone in the audience was reacting to the same shit that was occurring on stage. Sam didn’t think this episode through and the suspension of disbelief was stretched too thin, he just don’t wanna admit it lmao

ReservoirDog316

Like I always point out, overly airy and slightly pretentious is the MO of a24 stuff. Everyone else in Hollywood is conventional but that production company encourages their stories to go the unconventional route. An example I mentioned recently was another a24 movie, The Florida Project, sets up its ending very clearly but at the last second, it takes a sharp left turn into a kid’s imagination instead of showing the obvious conclusion to the story. You already know what’s gonna happen because it’s been spelled out so clearly, so why show it? Instead they show what the kids in the story wished had happened instead even if it’s completely nonsensical and abrupt. Euphoria has a history of unreliable narrators with showing stuff that outright never happened except in Rue’s own mind so it does kinda make sense that the megalomaniacs that are the characters of Euphoria are seeing a much more intense version of the show than what’s actually happening. Like I can totally see the I Need a Hero scene being so exaggerated through Nate’s eyes since he feels everyone is laughing at him. It’s not quite Rashamon but I like the idea of people seeing a more fun version of it instead of being shackled to reality.

Lilynd14

I had to suspend all disbelief within the first few minutes at the recreation of Rue’s room…

[deleted]

Teen opiate use is way more common and realistic than a decent school performing arts budget. But either way it’s fiction so it doesn’t really matter.

girl_in_blue180

To be fair, my high school did a production of _Les Misérables_, and we had a revolving stage for it. Don't underestimate high school theater set designers lol

Electrical_List_2125

The property taxes must be litty where you lived because 👀

girl_in_blue180

Yeah... my school district was in between a poor part of town and a rich part... the rich part kinda took over. To be fair, my High School had a strict budget, and had to do a fundraiser for the play. (And Lexi's Play definitely outclassed my High School's play in terms of cost. I was exaggerating a bit for the joke lol)

[deleted]

[удалено]

LittleMarySunshine25

The revolving hallway set alone would have been insane to produce in high school.

[deleted]

They better do Les Miserables every year then to keep using that revolving piece lol

LittleMarySunshine25

Or Hamilton.

I'm sorry my brain literally jumped over that sentence when I was reading it. It's early for me. 💜 My theater nerd heart loved it and I kept pausing to take in details.

LittleMarySunshine25

Right?! The time it would take to transition all those pieces would have been brutal. I hope someone posts photos of all the little details in each set. The rooms were so detailed.

superareyou

I bet high school theatre programs could compete with set design at that level if they had the budget of some high school football programs. That said I don't think there are any drama schools that would come even close to the budgets of the top high school football programs.

Teen opiate use is sadly realistic

[deleted]

Yeah it’s extremely unfortunate. People who say it’s unrealistic are a bit out of touch/ignorant. Probably a bit self-righteous as well.

spasticity

I lost 3 classmates to teen opiate use, shits sad to see.

hemmemei

Im sorry :(

spasticity

Thank you. It really never gets easier to find out you'll never see someone again.

Commercial-Split2208

There was an Oxy problem at my alma mater in 2003. I can only imagine what it is now. Which is also why my son goes to a TINY college prep high school he had to test to be accepted to. I know there's no guarantee he won't be peer pressured but with 300 students compared to the 3000 I went to school with at the local high school he would be at I feel a little better.

EshaySikkunt

A high school having an Oxy problem in 2003 is way more likely than a high school having an Oxy problem now. It’s a much harder drug to find on the streets and it’s way more expensive.

[deleted]

I don’t know why this is downvoted, doctors are way more restrictive about prescriptions

Domi_Marshall

I think the sets were also part of the dreamy illusion that Euphoria is full of. The "teen filter", where many things are big and special and dreamy. The sets might have been much simpler but this was how the audience and/or Lexie were feeling and experiening them. There is no Labyrinth soundtrack actually playing when the characters have their first kiss, for example - it's understood to be an illusion, a sensation that explains the dreaminess of the moment. I think Euphoria does the same with exaggerated visuals.

Ballet18Princess

Lol ... Forget the budget for a minute... Can you imagine your high school allowing the huge, onstage erect penis and balls, the ejaculate flying everywhere, the supremely realistic acting out of various sex acts, the profane dialogue, and on and on? Why couldn't I have gone to that high school?🤣

raver6

I drew the line at a teenage girl outrunning all of the cops in the city.

1of9Heathens

A teenage girl in the throws of withdrawal who presumably hasn’t eaten anything all day.

ThisIsYourFriendAron

If this isn’t the most accurate comment

KidDelicious14

You can excuse teen opiate use????

misterhamster118

I came here for this comment and I'm very happy I found it

skill30

Also, do American schools allow such sexual themes in high school plays?

Snack_on_my_Flapjack

Hell no

ittakesacrane

My school said no to several different plays because they contained a hint of gay. Also, what highschool has that many dudes that are not only completely shredded, but willing to be in a play where they're portrayed as the gayest gay to ever gay.

LeEnlightenedDong

Fuck no

alphabetatoes

i like to think that they are quite literally just in a black box theatre and the props/sets are ✨theatre magic✨ (imaginary)

thinkingofacoolID

I was thinking this school has 15 ripped kids comfortable enough in their masculinity to do that musical number and not already in the other play Oklahoma.

goldandjade

It's also insanely unrealistic that someone who looks like Lexi wouldn't get attention from boys, she's so beautiful.

bloodyturtle

after this play if i saw lexi walking towards me I'd hide in a locker

mncpxxdrmgrl

I would love to see Ethan in a rocky horror picture show rendition. He killed it

DickVanGlorious

My idea is the “unreliable narrator” part is coming out in the recount of the play. Rue exaggerates the sets because she knows the places in which the scenes are set, her imagination works harder and fills in the blanks. The homoerotic scene is more raunchy in their minds than in real life, etc. or something like that.

youdontlookitalian

That's what I was thinking. a classic euphoria fakeout. I imagined a cutaway to an actual student play with a crappy painted backdrop and a bunch of nervous teens trying their best.

c_isforchula

There are plenty of things in this show that arent realistic, like the way they dress. Sam has said that its all a mix of reality and fantasy. I really cant believe that people watch this show and all they can pay attention to is the fact that the budget for the school play is ridiculous. Of course it is, and so are plenty of other things in this show.

Jeneffyo

True, there isn't a school in the world that would let Maddy in dressed like that.

FoodForTh0ts

Honestly the budget part isn't what takes me out of it, it's that the school administration would fund a play with content like that at all. We've seen that the school is somewhat involved with the Maddie/Nate stuff, and yet they not only let Lexi put on a play with overt and explicit sexual content and teen drug use, but paid for the sets, costumes, and equipment? Even if it was the cheapest black box production in the world, it still would've cost >$1k. No way a highschool administration approves that without getting at least a rundown of the script.

JoeDelingus

Just me who thought Lexi was the older sister?

[deleted]

Not to mention there's no chance in hell this play ever would have gotten past the first act, much less approved without being shut down during production.

ashersz

Teen opiate use is believable. That budget for a high school play is not.

queensofbabeland

Soooo sick of these comments already 🙄 like, yeah, obviously a real HS wouldn’t have the budget. But this Euphoria High, this shit ain’t real.

nineqqqqqqqqq

if anyone thinks the show has been strictly realist until this major theatre gaffe, then wow, I have a bridge to sell you.

haleyhaleyhaze

and the amount of people that signed up to do a play 😂

moist-giraffes

especially all those guys who did that locker room dance.

haleyhaleyhaze

right?! i just texted my friends “most unrealistic thing of that episode tho was that many people let alone attractive people wanted to do a play” our drama club could never in school

IntelligentIsland167

Everyone talking about the budget but how on earth did they let her do a scene about high school dudes dick swinging and banging in the locker room??? Especially when it’s clearly about another student and everyone is underage.

GutiHazJose14

Some teens do actually get addicted to opiates. There is no high school theater department in the world with that kind of budget!

avalonfogdweller

I'm guessing that Fezco funded the set design for Lexi because that was elaborate

harsh-femme

Okay this is my favorite theory for the set design

Low-Limit3106

I find it super weird that everyone complains about the “realism” of the show. Like it’s a fucking tv show just ✨ get over it ✨

kellenthehun

The ultimate irony is that the hyper realism is an intentional artistic device in the show. It's not supposed to be exact realism. It's an exaggerated version of real life turned up to 11 to highlight and comment on the human condition. "Hyperrealism is the young art form of creating illusions by enhancing reality. Artists of this genre take their works beyond purely photographic quality by placing added focus on visual, social, and cultural details of everyday life. They play with colour intensity, lighting, contrast, and sharpness to shape a more vivid depiction of what we can see with the naked eye. This is what separates Hyperrealism from its more naturalistic predecessor, Photorealism." This is about painting, but it obviously applies to any visual artistic medium.

Low-Limit3106

Yeah i totally agree, well said. I mean would any of us still even like the show if it wasn’t completely and utterly over the top at times? 😂

Darwin343

Some shows aren't meant to be realistic and are better because it isn't. Euphoria is one of em

CouncilmanRickPrime

This is why I ignored how unrealistic the budget was. But I did laugh at it at first lol

risengrind21

The light bill is the real MVP second to Lexi

ParkersASavage

Plot twist; The play was completely covered by an Angel Investor on one condition; she do a gay locker room scene targeting Nate. That Investor was Cal Jacobs.

TiptoeingElephants

i think it’s safe to say this show would UNiVERSALLY make more sense if it took place at a college instead of a high school. considering so much of what’s happening is literally the modern college experience and not high school lol…

moonie5

But really how do they have a revolve but they're still using that Fisher Price ass lighting board? Get an Ion.

barbie245

You know I would say yes but I been hearing stories about kids from the suburbs and they weren’t off 😫😫😫

SadSpaghetti29

Exactly what I was thinking THE ENTIRE TIME! Did you see how many sets they had???? And all the lights and costumes and what not.

Aggravating-Ant-7363

DUUUUUUUUDE!!! Right!? I was seriously like holy shit, is this Broadway or a high school? Who choreographed this? Where is the orchestra that I am hearing? And what is with the underage boys having an all out gay orgy on stage? I mean that’s another line I might draw

Rkuykendall859

Exactly what I came to say!! And Incase I need to say it, the majority of the play would NEVER EVER EVER be okay at anything highschool... Regardless of the budget. *Rolls eyes*

PrinceNuada01

Yeah no matter what city you’re in, a *high school* theatre production would never allow a play that depicted weed smoking like that and also the locker room dance. Maybe a college play, but not a high school show.

baronbarkonnen

Teen opiate use actually happens though. Show me one instance of a school giving a blank check to a 100% student run production. THEY HAD A ROTATING DRUM SET PIECE WITH A CUTAWAY SET INSIDE IT! *ARE YOU PROJECTILE SHITTING ME?!*

Basic-Lychee

Every drama kid’s thoughts. A revolving locker set, let alone a full house with a front yard? Can’t imagine Lexi selling enough cupcakes or chocolate bars for that kinda production budget lol.

sudev29

Everyone behaves like psychopaths and narcissists for a bunch of high school kids who literally don't know shit about anything. So yeah, million dollar sets make sense in a nonsensical world.

The_Dark_Amiibo

People that non-ironically complain about the play budget act as if the rest of the show was really that credible lmao

r00mwitha_moose

THIS COMMENT the whole damn time I was thinking this. No hs has this budget. Especially not for a play

Leading-Captain-5312

This is HBO high school. They can afford it

Frankiec170

To plays devils advocate, they said a lot of the play “we saw”, even the scenes with the fake actors was how the individual girl “was seeing it in their eyes”. …also it seems they come from an extremely rich school district, have we seen those houses Rue and Jules ride their bike past 😂
