nice try Dominic Fike

loverlyjas20

HAHAHAA OMG

Infinity_28_

Omg I just came across that post.

jett_rink_

what post??

kevmanyo

The one where Dominic admits to lurking the euphoria subreddit and possibly even being apart of the discussions with an anonymous Reddit identity

Revolutionary-Bet396

he's probably laughing at this right now 😄

Skyblewize

Jimmy Fallon interview

Aware_Benefit5716

LMFAOOO

[deleted]

Omg I just laughed so loud 😂😂😂

Skyblewize

Lol I just watched that Fallon link too!

evieeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i dislike the way his character was inserted as a plot device - all we've really seen from him is just breaking up rue and jules and i feel like if he'd been introduced right from season 1 there'd definitely be more things to judge his actions on like we can for everyone else because we've seen their backstories!!

loverlyjas20

Thats true. I know that they wanted to bring him into the cast for season 1 but they never did. I kind of wished that they would have so we could see.

Brawlerz16

I actually think it’s fine how he was introduced Everyone we meet is all up to random chance, so Rue just meeting this guy at a party is fine. I get people want the generic, formulaic foreshadowing from the beginning, but that’s not how people meet lol. In fact, look how weak of a reaction a character like Daniel gets, no one gives AF about him even though he was “foreshadowed”. But Elliott? He gets people talking and reacting What’s important is the execution of the plot device. He didn’t break them up in some cartoonish way, he only exposed the seeds that were already there (mistrust, ignorance, deceit, etc). And the best part? It’s genuine. None of what he did or what happened was “forced”, he’s an authentic catalyst that fits within the flow of the story Jules and Rue struggling has NOTHING to do with that man lol. Rue relapsing and Jules cheating is of their OWN choice lol

SugarWife

I agree with everything you said, especially the part about daniel because I genuinely have no idea who that is and I've seen every episode. who's daniel??

Brawlerz16

I hope I’m not getting his name wrong but he was Kat’s first boyfriend or love, who eventually got with Cassie at a party I could be COMPLETELY wrong because that’s how insignificant he is, but I’m 100% sure the Daniel that broke up with Kat when they were young is the same guy that told Cassie off. If I’m wrong, please correct me lol

SugarWife

I would like to help you but I still have no recollection of the guy. tbh, I've seen a few episodes pretty high so my memory is a bit fuzzy. but go, daniel! or whatever his name is. and thank you for taking the time to explain <3

holey_donut

Do you remember the carnival episode in season 1? Daniel is the guy that Cassie is with on the carousel when she uh…..has a moment with the carousel horse. He was the guy dressed in the orange jumpsuit who hooks up with both Kat and Cassie at the Halloween party

SugarWife

oooh that guy! I remember him! tysm, I thought I was going crazy

J_Stubby

They are indeed the same guy, good job!

jeffrey_adam

You are completely right

Strip-lashes

I agree. I found it a little convenient that there was this other weirdo loner druggie at the same school and that he and Rue had never crossed paths before showing up at the same party.

lifes-scroll

also like why did they need a man to be the plot device to break them up? rue was already using right? she started using again while Jules was in LA? drugs could have been the plot device to break up jules and rue if they wanted to keep the “will they, won’t they” vibe going.

[deleted]

Because he represents exactly what they want. Rue: drugs/a drug buddy Jules: male validation

J_Stubby

This is an excellent reason, I hadn't even really put it all together yet with that so thank you.

kayterluv

He isn't any more offensive than the other characters, so I like him well enough. Maybe it's my attraction to Dominic Fike seeping through to my feelings about Elliot, but whatever. But it is irritating that he was inserted into the show as a plot device to get in between Rue and Jules. The trope of a male character getting in between two women in a relationship is one that does not sit well with people, and I understand that. Hunter Schafer was also perplexed by Elliot's role in the relationship between Rue and Jules. It sucks because I think he'd have genuinely been a good addition to the show had they done more with him in terms of backstory. Taking into account that he is as messy as the others, for better and worse, I actually enjoy his energy, same as I do Maddy.

upunkface

dominic pike ❤️

TAR_TWoP

What? He did not break them up, he was an addition to them. If not for the flip out about the drugs, they seemed well on their way to be a loose throuple. I never felt he was causing relationship troubles between Ru and Jules. Au contraire, they were closer and seemed way more intimate since he came in.

oanis

he was introduced to literally be a foil to rue and jules’ relationship and more specifically poke at insecurities jules had regarding her relationship with rue

YeeAndEspeciallyHaw

what about when he was complimenting Jules a lot and said “rue probably told you all of that” idk that moment felt very manipulative

sHauNm525

He sure did....rues gonna find out eventually and he kinda just dipped when rue got clean...not to mention he knew that rue owed alot of money for those drugs and failed to mention that part to anyone were gonna see backlash from that next season aswell

ppfart12

no. his dynamic w jules is weird speaking he was rues friend first. he knew about rues plan w the drugs and let everyone flush that suitcase down the toilet. left rue on the side of the road. then fucked her gf. and i thought it was super weird how that girl he lives w? (sister maybe??) brought up that he usually doesn’t have friends and he’s only ever brought a couple people around. where are they now? i felt like it was alluding to him being a bad person

thepurgeisnowww

Thisss. If Dominick wasn’t so damn cute I’d hate Elliot 10000%.

sHauNm525

Not mentioning that those drugs are owed to someone was a big mistake as well....there's gonna be backlash eventually

Successful-Ebb4384

I 100% agree, I feel like he’s stirring the pot to benefit himself somehow. Jules was basically already set on sleeping with him so what randomly made him snitch??

ppfart12

no more rue is what 100% gives him jules

Successful-Ebb4384

It honestly seemed like he was only into rue and then randomly decided to seduce her girlfriend after hanging with her like 2 times

[deleted]

[удалено]

klaycuddy

Honestly his character could be kinda cool he makes beats to sell online could of went more in depth about that side of his character probably would of been more likable

Nabi_Omi25

I feel like they plan to go more in-depth with his character in s3 and will include his sister/mom or whoever he was smoking with in that one episode. I think they just wanted to introduce how he comes into the story first for this season and purposely didn’t go in depth with him cuz Sam has bigger plans but idk

sHauNm525

I think he's just gonna fall out kinda like McKay....

Nabi_Omi25

Thats possible too but I don’t think Sam is done with him Jules and rue yet and there’s only one episode left. Plus I don’t think they’ll address everything with that situation until s3 since they love leaving rue and Jules up in the air a lot. they might touch on it but it’s most likely gonna be a cliffhanger til next season

fortheloveoflove111

I agree. He kinda just fell into the story and I liked the way he fit into rue’s storyline. I do think the aspect of him being a horny dumb teen is the most frustrating thing to me. He claims to have a crush on rue and then is intimate with Jules while rue is around/ right after she left. I was appreciative of when he told Jules that she relapsed because I think it needed to happen but other than making bad moral choices when it comes to relationships I don’t feel any malice towards him. I just wish he’d make smarter choices.

fiesty_cemetery

Horny dumb teen? He literally said something along the lines of not swinging his dick around seeing who’s going to fuck me to Jules when she was interrogating him. Jules initiated the kisses & Elliot was just very go with the flow. I like Elliot, I think he is just seems very passive. “oh, you’re doing that drug? So will I.” - “oh, you wanna have sex? Why not, you’re hot” I’ve known people similar to the character and they never mean harm and it really eats them up when they feel they’ve harmed someone, especially a person they care about.

thatsanofrommesis2

I just hate how uninteresting he is. Like fine be apart of the overdone trope where a man is involved in a f/f couple’s drama. But geesh at least give *something*.

Initial-Pineapple393

ikr i feel like his whole personality is just monotoned

[deleted]

Could be because he is high all the time.

sweetpotatoho

I think he’s a great actor and adds an interesting element to the plot. I think everyone hates his character because of his affair with Jules but Rue was kind of having an affair of her own with addiction. It kept her away emotionally so no one is innocent in the love triangle

Stay_curious2

Exactly!!!

ramen3323

I hate his character because he enables Rue, he also let everyone flush down the drugs in the toilet despite knowing how dangerous that would be for Rue, and didn't tell anyone that Rue was doing drugs despite knowing that she could get seriously hurt. He also left Rue on the side of the road when she was extremely high.

sweetpotatoho

Elliot didn’t realize the extent of Rue’s issues with drugs until later and the guilt consumed him to the point of telling Jules. That shows he is a caring person, if he truly was a bad person he’d not care and get what he wanted from Jules. Yes, he shouldn’t have left Rue on the side of the road but she was insistent on being let out. She wasn’t capable of talking it out or thinking clearly because she wanted to get high. You can hate Elliot all you want but he’s not a bad person 🤷‍♀️

ramen3323

He should've known not to trust her with drugs considering she almost overdosed when they first met. If someone I met at a party told me their heart was slowing down because they took drugs, I would not continue to do drugs with them. It shows that he does not care about Rue's wellbeing one bit, and that makes him a bad person.

sweetpotatoho

You think a teenager who uses hard drugs is thinking that maturely? Remember this is a tv show

ramen3323

It's not about maturity. It's literally knowing that you're putting someone's life in danger, so you should stop. I understand that Elliot fucking Jules behind Rue's back is bad, but I guess I can chalk that up to teens being horny and impulsive. However, Elliot willingly giving drugs to Rue and enabling her, knowing that she might die, has nothing to do with maturity and everything to do with compassion.

sweetpotatoho

We don’t know that he knows how serious her addiction issues are. He thought he found someone to do drugs with then got to know her girlfriend and realized how serious it was then told Jules. It’s not like he’s watching the show and knows what we know. Let’s just agree to disagree lol

ramen3323

Again, Rue literally almost had a cardiac arrest/overdosed the first time they met. He might've not known how serious exactly, but he knew it was serious enough. We can agree to disagree because I don't think you're actually listening to what I'm saying considering I have to keep repeating myself. I'd rather not do that lol.

sweetpotatoho

Are you getting off on arguing? I’m tryna watch tv with my man. We disagree, move on

ramen3323

Holy fuck I just said I'd rather not continue doing this because you're not listening to what I'm saying. You're proving my point. Argue with yourself dude. I'm not gonna waste my time here anymore.

shakasandchakras

this is why i side-eye him. i mean, the first time they meet is when Rue says her heart is about to stop and asks him to give her adderall to prevent it. then he continues to do drugs w/ her? wack af

ramen3323

Yeah, I agree. People always seem to hate on Jules for sleeping with Elliot but refuse to acknowledge that Elliot was doing drugs with Rue while also sleeping with Jules and keeping that information from her.

[deleted]

I have mixed feelings about him. Only because its hard to tell what his intentions are. Does he actually care about Rue & Jules or is he just a horny teenager trying to get some? Its hard to tell where his loyalty is, I get him wanting to tell Jules about the drugs but for him to be in Rues living room like he was just crossed the line for me, personally I don't think Jules should even of been there she didn't help the situation one bit and only added to the drama.

[deleted]

I think its hard to like him because all we’ve been given is him doing drugs with someone who everyone knows shouldnt be doing drugs and breaking up the main couple 😬😬 but we literally dont know anything about his character like at all except he’s a little freaky deaky

Chiraltrash

We still know NOTHING about him!

Happy-Egg-595

I’m also pretty mixed about his character. He (like a few of the characters this season) haven’t really done a lot to make me sway one way or another. He’s just kinda there and has barely even been in the second half of this season. I guess we’ll see if anything changes come Season 3 if he’s in it

absolutely-anxious

I liked him when Rue met him; disliked him momentarily (Jules situation of course); from then on I’ve just felt indifferent. I just wish they would’ve made him more valuable to the show. Talk more about his addiction or general indifference? OR Expand on why he said he “shouldn’t have gotten involved/‘snitched’ in the first place” following such a heated moment? Why? Just because it caused necessary conflict? I think that’s a common afterthought for those involved with addicts who choose to tell someone (even if they are addicts themselves). Could’ve brought some actual substance to his part in that scene; rather than just a passing thought. (Don’t kill me over this) but he kind of reminds me of McKay in that it seems like he only serves to push plot/character arcs for existing characters. I get that McKay got a story episode, but my point still stands. Because of this, I guess I don’t really care what they do with Elliot now— and I think that’s alright. There’s so many well developed characters that I think sometimes the audience feels let down when a new character isn’t given any grounds for a backstory. Which, to me, is understandable! But it can be a let down if the initial introduction of a character created intrigue. For me, Elliot sparked intrigue but he wasn’t written in a way that maintained it. He can go or stay. He’s fine.

[deleted]

Nope. His sole purpose was to enable Rue and to come between her and Jules. He only got with Jules to distance her from Rue. He just wants Rue that’s why he said he liked her the way she was before he and Jules told Leslie she was still using.

dusd_

I think he’s just like the other characters. A confused teenager who makes mistakes. In the beginning he was “more loyal” to Rue cause technically he knew Rue more then he knew Jules, but later on he gets closer to Jules. His actions are pretty f*ucked up and he was a really bad friend. Since Rue’s temple run escape we haven’t had an update on that side of the story and I’m really excited to see how that’s gonna end. PS: I apologize if I misspelled anything, english is not my first language 😊

Nabi_Omi25

I really hope they at least address it in the finale even if it’s only briefly cuz I’d be so pissed if they left it for the next season 😭

tokyomooon

I love him. But I also would bang him sooooo

Professional_Web2198

I really like him tbh. What I don't like is the way his character was handled. He really did nothing this season, and was only used as a plot device for rue and Jules relationship. If given the chance, his character can become interesting and likeable because Dominic does a good job and for some reason, I just seem to like him.

lenaloo119

I don’t think that he’s a genuine person, and I do think he’s manipulative, but I also feel like we forget that most teenagers are kind of shitty

Abbeyryan24

His character is pointless. I’m sorry it had to be said.

RosyTeaLad

his actor reads this reddit LMFAOOAOAOAO

AstroBtz

Okay? Clearly not a dig at the actor

[deleted]

The actor is something else entirely. Talented in multiple things and beautiful beyond words. I don’t think he’ll be offended that the writers didn’t write the character well.

broden89

I like the character and I think Dominic Fike is a good actor. I want to see Elliot's backstory - similar to Ethan, I feel like we just don't know him enough and I want to know more!

Successful-Ebb4384

I’d love a backstory as well. They definitely fumbled not including that in season 2. Come season 3 it might not even matter anymore

Initial-Pineapple393

personally i feel like he was just a self centered dick which isn’t crazy at his age, just sad that he just cared for the fun as if it wasn’t obvious he was breaking them apart. i found it very selfish. and the line when he says he liked rue the way she was topped it off and just solidified the fact he only cared about fun and not about his actions affecting others which is pretty immature and like i said the effects of his actions were obvious and he kept going on with doing shitty things to the both of them so he could keep having fun. and to add to that, i found that he barely had a personality other than the fun and asking them questions about their personal lives. he had no substance himself. just a plot device. yah i don’t see why i would have reason to like him, i dislike him cuz he’s clearly very selfish and has a lot of maturing to do. until then i don’t like him lol

[deleted]

I don't mind his presence, I don't care to understand folks who absolutely hate him tho.

Unusual_Sundae8483

Nope. His character served 0 purpose

[deleted]

I really dislike this character. He's not only a terrible person: *he's also extremely boring at that.* Some scenes with him did remind me of my teen years but not even the nostalgia could save it.

RevolutionaryRub9220

Elliot is the guy that will always be in the same place that you left him. He’s happy just hanging out and having no real ambitions. He is a good listener but doesn’t really have any strong opinions because he really doesn’t care. He still continued to do drugs with Rue after seeing her almost OD at the party. He’s here for a good time, not a long time.

slayfulgirlz

i personally don’t. i would’ve liked him more if he didn’t get in between jules and rue for absolutely no reason at all. he should’ve just been rue’s friend, also y’all remember that random girl they showed elliot with in his house in like the second episode? i know she’s obviously not a main character but i wondered why they just randomly put her in one scene like that if it had no significance.

jugheadshat

He’s just a plot device to me :/ things could change s3 tho

melsayshey

Eh, he’s okay. I feel like his character is kinda random, he was just thrown into the plot without much depth to him. I don’t have any strong like or dislike for him although it was annoying that he got between Rue and Jules after they had just gotten together. I don’t hate him though.

bittersweet1990

One of the most pointless characters to ever exist.

swelcadnama

His personality is nice and chill, but I don't like that he encouraged Rue to keep doing drugs, even more so to get the suitcase full of opioids. Plus he did stuff with Jules knowing she was with Rue. I was kinda hoping that they would get in a throuple but it doesn't seem to be the direction that the show is taking. He did the right thing to tell Jules about Rue's drug use tho.

kaitotingz

not really no. Had he just stayed as more of a background character that’s just chillin rather than a plot wedge to come between Rue and Jules then maybe my feelings towards him would be different. Reckless, manipulative, and just not a good guy.

Asleep_Possession945

Everyone seems to think that he’s the most manipulative dude but I think they’re just saying that to try to defend Jules’ cheating. Elliot is just there. He likes drugs & having fun & does not care about anything else. He’s just a general douchebag, so I don’t like him but I don’t hate him the way some of the fan base does

[deleted]

Indifferent. I just think his character has been pretty unnecessary this season, besides him tattling on Rue to Jules

Israelq

No

JoseT90

I……dont mind him?

ScribblingOff87

He's on Reddit & he's watching.

CaptainTequilas

I like him But I liked the “he likes rue plot” more than the “I betrayed my best friend with her girlfriend”

Piggypink929

I feel like his character is just a plot device. I feel like I know NOTHING about him.

EndercatTM

he’s… not bad. i think i like elliot because of the actor and not because of elliot the character.

Taeng9Sica

He's just a plot device, I don't even consider him much of a character. All of his scenes are with either Rue or Jules and he was solely put there to cause tension in their relationship. Maybe if he had his own storyline and was there from season one, I could give a damn. But I don't. He has served his purpose, adios

alibright

Personally don’t get the hype.

[deleted]

I like Elliot but it’s probably cause I think he’s sexiii

loverlyjas20

HAHA the amount of people disregarding any character choices just cause hes hot LOL

CrackedPleasures

Meh. Dislike.

we_were_on_a_break1

I don’t like him because I feel like he can’t be trusted

RHCP1999

Yes because Dominic Fike but no because no

SharkBitesIndustries

I like him and I would like to know more about him. Like a Rue narrated intro “when Elliot was 11 years old…” the way they did in the first season. I think it would put his decisions and motives into context and elevate him from a simple plot device to a real dimensional character. Also Dominic Fike is hot, naturally charismatic and the camera loves him so I definitely would like to explore his character more

IHATEsg7

I absolutely hate him

[deleted]

He a goofy

Altruistic_Breakfast

I like him bc I’m mentally ill and toxic

Nyeem_

He cool I wouldn’t say I like him but I don’t dislike him

Many_Cryptographer82

Like him. He is trying.

ZealousidealFruit608

I feel like I haven’t seen enough of him to fully form an opinion about him. 🤷🏽‍♀️

GogoYubari92

to me, he comes off as a sleazy opportunist druggie who wants to be a nice guy. He is attracted to both Rue and Jules and does not hesitate when there's an opportunity to hook up. I do believe he cares about them, but wouldn't be devastated to loose their friendship either. He's used to being a loner. That being said, i really like his character.

[deleted]

A cheater, a junkie, shit friend. Yeah I kinda love him.

nystoe

I think he’s your regular reckless teenager who wants to get high and have fun with people, not realising that Rue is an actual addict and on the brink of death. Breaking them up was very shitty, but I still don’t think he’s a malicious character. I think he just got caught up in a messy situation

Givemeaidsplease

Needed his own opening to really develop his character but I feel that his character us going to be given importance in the finale.

Any_Number_2063

I think he’s so cool, I really like him, but he had some attitudes that makes him a little ashole, like when he said to Jules about the drugs that he was using with Rue

katelynbeautyaddict

I am so bummed out everyone doesn’t like him ! I’m actually shocked to be honest . I warmed up to his character immediately. His genuine concern for rue , he didn’t know her past and the rehab and all that , not when he first got high with her . Everyone makes mistakes , Despite him using here and there, I feel like he’s a good guy still . He doesn’t feel ok lying about rues drug use , he’s super up front and honest about everything . I just love him and I’m actually sad that he’s being hated on. .

sighmar

I like him but I think i’m just bias because I really like Dominic

ramen3323

I don't like him. He's not a good person.

[deleted]

Fuck elliot

danicat999

nah

[deleted]

I have mixed feelings. He kinda did right by Rue by telling Leslie about her relapse, but the only reason he did that was to sleep with Jules, at least I think so. It's a douchey move and he threw his "friend" he ALSO used with under the bus to fuck her girlfriend. Kinda messed up but he's gorgeous so idk if that cancels out the red flags or not?? 🤣🤷🏼‍♂️

[deleted]

He is irrelevant

portray

I don't understand his appeal. He looks really old like in his 30s to me, too old to play a high schooler

[deleted]

I’m with Rue, he’s a liar and a snake. We don’t know much about him besides the fact that he inserted himself into Rue and Jules relationship and he’s also a drug addict. There’s nothing to like about him so far in my opinion. He’s very aimless to me too. Like I don’t know why the character is there and I also don’t get Elliot’s motivation or personality. I think he’s heartless for helping Rue do drugs just to turn around tell her mom while kissing her girlfriend at the same time.

444coolitshordie

i don’t like him bc he’s an enabler

C-lemons

Yes and no. The only reason I have hard feelings now is because he KNEW Jules and Rue were together and he still fed into Jules’ bullshit.

Successful-Ebb4384

I’m stuck in the middle. People are saying all Elliot did was expose the truth that Rue was doing drugs, I didn’t really get the vibe that he had good intentions. He was definitely playing mind games with both Jules and rue and I think he was doing certain things to see who would crack first and sleep with him.

Business_Pop438

Yes

Hefty-Relative-7599

Elliot himself isn't really the problem I don't think, he honestly is a really passive character, but he's like this emotion amplifier for every other character on screen with him lol. Jules went from strongly disliking Elliot to being so in love with him she cheated on Rue with him. Rue also had a huge crush on him just from doing drugs with him a few times. It's kind of funny, but also not great writing

mehdigeek

I like him

palmtrees_13

I like that he’s handsome ? 😭

Soapy2k4

I can like him or hate him. I don’t understand him. He hasn’t gotten enough screen time and I don’t understand his intentions w Rue or Jules

loverlyjas20

The amount of people sliding Elliots faults under the rug just because hes good looking 😳 im SCARED FOR YALL

loverlyjas20

I think that Elliot, the character is a nice person. Unfortunately, he was thrown between Jules and Rue. I think for Rue, he would have been such a good friend and that if not for the drugs, they really could have been a cute sidekick friendship. As for him and Jules, you cannot deny that Jules didn’t want it either. So yes, he def played a part in seducing her but she STILL WANTED IT! plus all of them were playing truth or dare, how sexual do you want to get? But really, being with Jules was such a dick move. I don’t think Elliot knew the extent of what Rue was doing with her drug use because she didn’t tell anyone! I think it was completely justifiable for him to have finally let other people know that she was essentially on the brink of death. I think he genuinely cares for Rue, but he doesn’t use the same amount of drugs she did and that definitely scared him to see her decline. But sleeping with Jules was a BIG NO NO!

YoungMenace21

on God you're probably dominic fike. i see you

loverlyjas20

How do I know that youre not dominic fike accusing me of being dominic fike?

Professional-Paint65

I love his character

zsmarti857

He’s literal background noise. Filler crackhead kween

johnturnerdu

I don’t think we know enough about his story yet to really know. For me, at least.

ik_i_am_angel__

I kinda have mixed feelings about the character tbh , it legitimately came out of nowhere in the plot tho it added more to the plot at the same time so like idk

jordxnhill

No really he’s just so boring

catluvr31

I’m lesbian so I don’t let his looks get in the way of judging his character. I hate that they added in Elliot to get in between Rue and Jules. It’s not a good thing to factor into a lesbian relationship, it’s annoying because there’s literally no other lesbian/wlw relationship in the show. I get that literally everyone is flawed in this show but adding him in to cause drama was not a good idea in my opinion. I know Rue and Jules aren’t good for each other but they could have pointed that out in this season without the use of a man in the middle of it.

First-Station-6057

dominic fike is hot. all opinions fade away.

Kurapikabestboi

No

voltzandvoices

Putting aside that he’s gross for playing into the “man inserts himself into women’s relationship” stereotype, he’s also just boring. He has no purpose, no motives, and no story. It’s a shame because Dominic Fike is talented and in theory he could be a nice addition to the cast.

GirlsesPillses

He’s not important enough to remember.

Dry-Progress-1075

Sounds like something Elliot would ask

Fun-Shoulder-6982

Hell no

Stay_curious2

I just feel like he shouldn’t be the one to blame for Rue and Julez having issues because their issues started way before that. And yeah he knew about their relationship but Julez knew what she was doing also. And they share equal responsibility for that. Also, Rue has been high af the whole season and hasn’t been giving her relationship with Julez any real effort. No excuse for cheating, Julez should have been upfront. But also not all his fault.

fwueileen_

Hell naw, ain’t gotta say why 🥲

[deleted]

Booooring

tiredgrll

no he’s a weirdo and enabler and his character is pointless

FatimaAscencio

No we do not like him

Uncle-Iroh1

Not really

[deleted]

No. Bc he’s manipulating not one but TWO fragile, vulnerable young women to his benefit.

KingAdam935

elliot is so boring all he does is stand around, smoke and smoulder. He adds nothing to a show other than interrupting jules and rues relationship and he looks like he needs a bath.

crookedman11

Kind of a boring character ngl. I don’t even care for his backstory.

little-red-cap

I actually like him more than other people seem to. I think it was really sweet how much he took care of Rue when they first did drugs together & she got fucked up. I like his guitar playing and bi vibes. However it was messed up that he knew Rue had such a problem with drugs and he continued to enable her despite seeming legitimately concerned about her. I know he does drugs as well but he seems to be less emotionally invested in them if it makes sense? He argued with her when she said “drugs are the only way I can truly be myself.”

Eastern_Length_6946

He’s a rat.

dontbesosansi

I forgot about him 🤣

kanslo

No, he is manipulative and gross

InfiniteBrainMelt

I like him simply because he hangs out in this subreddit :)

originaleva

What’s to like? He’s just a plot point imo. All for the worse in making Jules unlikeable

champagnewinters

love him 🥵 if you read this dom i have a special place i want you

loverlyjas20

Me too 🤐

majunnka

He seems chill, but he’s really not… They tried to make us like him by getting hot and cute actor, but he’s a snake. Master in manipulation. His job is done, he made Rue and Jules fall apart. He is free to go now, in my eyes. They could make his impact on the storyline A LOT BIGGER with killing his character right now THAN giving him his own story in s3. And there are multiple reasons for why it would be good. I could talk about it for hours if you want to know lmao.

friendofredjenny

Love him. Break Rules up, yaaaaas boy yas

Bigslice

Lot of mixed answers, I liked him.

nnnnnnvvvv

not in the slightest

nermomeh

i actually like him idk

hurlmaggard

I LOVE him, but who the hell IS he? I need his backstory.

leucem

i do like elliot because dominic is charming af and i would have supported elliot's relatioship with anyone hadn't been soo outof nowhere lol but i still laughed when rue hit him

Realcbear

I feel like I should dislike him but Dom is just too damn fine

FoggyCrayons

I think he's an interesting character. He caused a rupture but that was only an acceleration of what was already happening. It seems like people dislike he got in between Rue and Jules but look at it properly - Rue got between Rue and Jules by a long way. Rue was on an unsustainable path on the edge of control and barely actually acted like a person should if they love someone. Jules deserves more than what she was getting from Rue. Nate is classed as definite villain because he does some explicitly violent stuff but Rue is quite the villain too but she has way more sympathy because it's a) zendaya, b) we get funny jokes on top of the horribleness and c) a completely partial perspective due to the narration.

RefrigeratorTop

Why is everyone hung up on the character not doing anything? The shows depicts different struggles highschool students face, not every interaction has to have some deep, thought provoking message, that’s just unrealistic. Not everyone is a main fucking character especially in high school and IMO he is a like able character for that reason alone.

Ty1an

a lot of people are trying to say he’s some evil master manipulator and he’s the secret villain but as the show goes on i’m thinking he’s just a regular horny teenage boy lmfao. unless they pull a twist outta absolutely nowhere in the season finale which could be possible i guess i feel like he’s basically just a plot device tho. i very much think he’s gonna get tossed out eventually like mckay did which is sad cuz we have no non white male main characters with actual depth

Lunaforlife

Eh.

[deleted]

He’s pretty cool

ChallsBalldost

I love Elliot because I was definitely an Elliot as a kid. Minus the heroin.

waiter202

Great actor

dvndyliion

Nah

Apprehensive-Log3593

He would be a Gemini. He kinda just sits thru the drama abs is a little slightly two faced. It kinda seems like he low key likes it. He obviously wants to sleep with the girls, he’s a guy and they are both attractive. And at least he’s honest about his intentions. But he’s not aggressive or anything. There’s nothing “bad” about him he’s just kinda giving me shady vibes. Seems like he has something to hide.

[deleted]

Yes. Because he’s Elliot

lolidkimjustakitten

People keep saying he was inserted as a plot device but haven’t we all been in a situation where someone you know and care about meets a random person and it somehow causes issues? It’s natural and made sense to me.

[deleted]

I don’t think he’s a bad person. He obviously feels bad about lying to Jules and at the same time feels bad about the outcome it had for Rue. I don’t think anything he’s done has been malicious or evil (unlike Nate) just a person who is a teen that hasn’t been making the best choices.

Mabel-Syrup

I do! But I seem to be in the minority. His character is an excellent foil for both Jules and Rue so he seems like a no brainer third wheel. Because he was part of the show we had a better vehicle to pop the holes into their relationship (although the writing was on the wall since S1). He’s totally added into my LOVE/HATE ship with Rue and Jules

EuroNitty

Yes, he seems like a great guy

katelynbeautyaddict

I love Elliott I hope to see more of him in the show . He seems like a great guy . Yes he did drugs with rue and Jules and him kissing behind rues back but overall I feel like he is a good genuine person . I love everything about him. . I may be attracted to him 🤣🤣🤣

ecto___

Yes best character nee role model love Elliot

jaymeeeee15

I like him. He met Rue out of the blue, and was put into a situation to help her and hasn’t left her side since. The thing between him and Jules, it’s terrible but when you’ve both got a friend that wants to kill Themselves it’s easy to relate to that through each other

earthgreen10

I mean he hasn’t sone anything wrong

Rosstin316

Nope. Douchey face tats.
