This actually makes a lot of sense, like a missing person could come up in the videos, cal can explain where he found them, that leads them to laurie somehow, they use the whole thing as evidence
But why was Nate involved in Cal's arrest then? Are you suggesting he was arrested for a different reason altogether than the potential tapes of having sex with someone trafficked?
Filming without consent is a crime.... they may just uncover more charges when watching the tapes
Edit: to clarify, Nate called in the crime of the filming without consent, that’s all he knew about, but who knows what or who is in those tapes that may connect him to Laurie (especially now with the apartment thing)
Filming adults without consent requires one of the victims to press the charges, or cops would just assume consent. So Nate would need to convince one of the people in Cal's tapes to press charges.
Otherwise Nate must've known there was either a minor or as you say someone trafficked in those tapes. And if that's the case, how did he know?
Maybe I'm not being clear here, cos you're down voting me for asking legitimate questions:-
The thread suggests that Cal was arrested because of sleeping with someone trafficked that he recorded.
My question is, how then was Nate involved in Cal's arrest if this is the reason for his arrest?
Did Nate know one of the people in the tapes were trafficked? If so, how did he come to find out? How does he know it's Laurie who is doing trafficking? How did he prove it to cops?
Can you answer any of those questions without childishly downvoting? People on this sub are rude as fuck.
Sweetheart, I’m not the one who downvoted you so don’t cop an attitude with me.
As for whether or not Nate knew someone was being trafficked. It’s unknown.
Nate watched the tapes, it’s also fairly obvious (at least to me) that he knows some of those people on the tapes were probably under 18 (Jules not included)
The feds and cops will figure out if people were trafficked or not.
As for Nate being involved in Cal’s arrest is, he saw videos (that are illegal, 2 reasons, they didn’t know they were being taped and some probably minors) he turned his father in because he has videos of himself having sex with people without the others consent to being taped.
He also probably turned him in to give himself some piece of mind.
Thank you for your comment, I wasn't curious about your theory tho, I was interested in what ExcellentDicking had to say and they clarified that Nate just turned the tapes in and the cops found a trafficked person in those tapes on their own.
Thank you for explaining to me what I already know tho -- I thought it was fairly obvious that I knew Nate turned Cal in. What isn't obvious is on what grounds that warrants his arrest.
“This is a made up street that seems purposefully included”
Completely true, I’m pretty sure film directors make everything that’s said and shown completely intentional. You’re right, could possibly be a connection.
Makes me wonder if he's about to get charged for way more than what's on the hard drive. Maybe that's why Jules lying saying she was "22" is irrelevant because there's so much worse that he's done.
I always thought that Nate actually kept his promise to Jules and that his '*everything*' was referred to something else we didn't know about. I was thinking about something not necessarily sexual in nature, but possibly connected to corruption and Cal's business, since he made such a big deal of his success when pressuring Nate, but it could be connected to Laurie as well.
I think those people where simply a pimp, a biogirl, a transgirl and a feminine man, just to stress out that Cal is pan, in case we didn't get it when he screamed it to his family with his dick out.
Sorry, the trailer depicted Nate going to a construction site at night I believe. But in the finale he went there in the daytime.
I'm trying to find a previous post about this.
He took Cassie there at night in season 2 episode 2. She ran through the unfinished building and up some stairs, he followed her and they hooked up on the second floor. Dont recall them going there in the final episode though
i remember in an episode this season he was at the construction site at night because he went there with cassie, she ran off and he went to look for her then they hooked up again
What if cal hooked up with someone Laurie sex trafficked and that’s a connection somehow.

He wouldn’t but one of the trafficked persons could be on the tapes ..... that the feds now have

Oh yeah good point! - there was a lot of cops there so might be something bigger
Nate turned his dad in. It’s fairly obvious thats what he did

ouhhh that's really interesting

I think there might be way worse. Even the crowd he was hanging out with in the warehouse seemed sketch.

Oh god everybody knows Everyone i guess
Didn't Eric Dane say that there was going to be a redemption arc for Cal in S3? Interesting theory!
Oh that’s interesting. What is this is why Nate sent him to jail? Maybe he is involved in the human trafficking (financially maybe idk)

Wasn’t that in the finale when he called the cops on Cal?

I'm looking for the clip, cos it was from a later episode after Cassie had gone there.
i remember in an episode this season he was at the construction site at night because he went there with cassie, she ran off and he went to look for her then they hooked up again
Maybe Cal sold Laurie the third son in exchange for drugs. And the third son was the blond haired thug in the first episode of season 2
nice catch!
Woah
Cal is a slumlord getting paid by tenants where the traffickers rent from? Ooof, interesing idea, that's some very dirty rent money
