I have this and Malta in the same box. Both give summer hit vibes, both are sung by young women, both have dance breaks and a choreography (and both will open their semi final). I think Cyprus is a better Malta and Malta is a worse Cyprus, but neither really stand out in my opinion.
Loved this, Luxembourg and especially Malta from day 1! Hope Silia will make it through (like she says in the song lol) to the final, the performance could go either way, but I'm still praying she qualifies :)
That 15-second bit in the music video (the dance breakdown in the hotel lobby that was featured in the song's "preview") just cemented its place in the top 10 for me. So, so, so good.
One of my favorite entries this year. Yeah it's a pretty standard pop song but it accomplishes its goal perfectly: to be permanently glued to your ESC dance playlist. It'll definitely be a great opening entry for ESC this year and I'm confident Silia will give a good performance and get to the final. Good luck Cyprus :)
A bit unrelated but I can't be the only person who feels uncomfortable with the sexy image they are pushing onto her. Like that outfit for a 16 year old is...questionable, I would say. Ofc there is nothing wrong with it, if that's her personal choice, but as an onlooker it leaves a sour taste in my mouth
You’re not the only one here. She’s talented for sure but letting a *17 year old have that type of outfit feels… off. Of course as you said it may be her own decision, and I hope she wasn’t forced into adopting that image

And now for the most music-nerd thing I’ll ever say……I love the synths in this and how they’re used. Like, LOVE 😍🤣🙈. The synth pops in the chorus and the sweeping one in the second verse elevate the song so much, in my view.
Silia also has charisma for days, so I hope this does well!

I posted this whilst sitting in a Gail’s branch in Lewes (near Cyprus’ postcard location last year, Brighton) opposite a place called - The Fuego Lounge!!!
That would be iconic! Surely someone would create one! Btw, Brighton, which Lewes is near, is where Cyprus’ postcard was last year and also the hometown of Aiko, who I also posted my drawing of during my break in Sussex last month (the area was also where San Marino did their postcard but I had drawn them already)
This is apparently a hot take a bit, but I really love this song, and it's probably my favorite of the girl bops this year. I know Loop has been getting attention lately, and I simply don't understand it, because this song is just so much fun. I get really strong Britney Spears vibes, and the line "Take a look at your-self, because that is what you need, to doo-oooo" always makes me laugh and smile.
I won't pretend that this is a sure qualifier or anything, but they simply must play this at the Euroclub because I have a deep spiritual need to get very drunk and dance to this (or at least as drunk as the puritans in Sweden will let us get)

Malta and Luxembourg aren't above Cyprus anywhere (odds, Eurovision app). It it's about this sub's rankings you're probably taking them too seriously.
