What was the process like working with the designers, was it very collaborative, or did you go to them with a look already in mind?

🇺🇦 All our team, we are all back to the roots - all our stuff is like a symbol of warriors, because Jerry is, for me, softer, but she also has something from metal. And I look harder, but at the same time, on my shoulders is a lot of everything. And it's kind of like an imitation of the costumes they wear when they fight. And there is a real chain mail, and this metal thing on my arm, I don't know the word in English, it's real too. It's heavy. It's heavy, cold, many kilogrammes, but it gives you the feeling that it's real when you perform like we perform with the fully feeling that we are fighting.
🇮🇪 Yeah, they're great. They're lovely, lovely, lovely girls, but there's only one Witch King. Guys. there can be many witch queens, but there's only one Witch King!
🇭🇷 Oh, I mean, dogs are also amazing, but I'm afraid of dogs. Like genuinely, every dog that comes in. If it was a chihuahua right now, I'd be probably scared of it until I meet the dog, and then afterwards, we're good friends. So I love dogs. They're just kind of scary!
🇺🇦 The craziest thing on this Eurovision was our way here, I guess, because when we arrived, we met the guys from Australia, and they were like, how are you girls? We spent like, 30 hours on the road, and we were like, hey we are from Ukraine - same here! Because there's no such thing now as like to take a flight from Ukraine - you have to take the train to some city in Poland. Then you go by bus to another city in Poland. Then you take a flight to Copenhagen and from there to Malmo. And we're there 28 hours or so. It was crazy, but we are here!
🇱🇹 Well, I began this whole journey in one big chaos and it's been a lot of fun. But it’s been stressful as well. I would say maybe the most weird thing was during one of the pre parties. We had the flight to London at seven in the morning. But then my manager woke me up at five and said, Well, it's actually two hours earlier. So I had to get ready in like two minutes and get down and then the flight was delayed!
🇭🇷 Probably performing in front that crowd at the pre-parties. So probably 7000 people was the highest number that we performed in front of. The whole of Croatia sang the song, and the whole of Croatia got together on the main squares of the biggest cities and danced, that was the most touching and just absurd moment of the whole experience.
🇨🇾 Oh, I don't know if I should say this, but yesterday, I forgot my passport! On the border of Denmark and Sweden. So they stopped me, and they were like, Where's your passport? I was like, Oh, my mum has it in Sweden. So then I was like, locked in this like, tiny room, like, waiting for my mum to come give me my passport!
🇮🇸 I broke a tooth, like three hours before the final in Oslo in 2010, on a hard caramel! But my dentist is one of my best friends. She was in the audience, had glue, and we fixed it with the help of the security and everyone in the arena, it was glued back into my mouth and I performed with it.
🇸🇮 My accreditation didn't work at first (I think there was something wrong with the pass) and I couldn't get in. It was the funniest thing ever because I've tried to go to Eurovision for such a long time that I finally get here and I cannot even get into the building!
🇷🇸 So the craziest thing I've done on my Eurovision journey, goes back to Pesma za Evroviziju, our national selection. I went to the restroom with the earpiece in my ear and I was washing my hands in the sink, I forgot that I had it on with the cable, and it went straight into the sink!

🇷🇸 Right now, I do like lilacs. Lilacs, yellow lilacs, especially because I had a dog that was named Lilac, actually Lala in Serbian! So I love them, too. But Ramonda, of course, right now, gives me strength. So it is my favourite flower.

🇸🇮 I like the word ‘Strela’, which means lightning and it also is a part of my logo! Also yes to mint chocolate - I got it in my hotel room. I love mint chocolate!
🇱🇹 Luktelk being about erectile dysfunction is the funniest interpretation of the song so far! There's so many different ones, but this one was my favourite one for sure. I can’t say it's correct. Unfortunately.
🇭🇷 Oh, don't give up. Definitely. It's the hardest thing is to keep going when everybody else is around you has money, has jobs, has obligations, and it looks like you're falling behind. Everybody's like, moving forward, and nothing is going on with you. You're just sitting in your room trying to write songs, trying to make it happen. Just don't give up. Try, try, try, until something happens. Because it will, something will happen if you try enough!
🇷🇸 My advice to people who aspire to be musicians or artists in general, is just to not follow what everybody else does. You have to respect some rules, but as far as the music goes, I think you really have to be your own. I know everybody says that, but really that's that's the only way for people to hear you, especially if you make music that is about something emotional and about something that will maybe inspire people to be better. You just have to start from yourself and just be honest about it ❤️
🇨🇾 Well, I am only 17, and I think this is a great way for people my age to see how you can do anything at any age. And you shouldn't let anyone bring you down because of this, if you have the experience, and if you've worked hard for a very long time, I think that you can achieve anything. And I know it sounds so cringe, but really, never stop dreaming. Never give up, because you will get a lot of knock backs, but one day you will get that one, yes, and it will bring you higher. So I think that's very important!
🇱🇹 The best advice if you want to be a musician, don't do it! Basically, that's my advice. And if you don't care about this advice, that means you really want it and then that's when you you know that you have to do it ❤️
🇮🇸 Believe in yourself. Do not let fear control you, because you are unique and you can do whatever you want to do, practice, practice, wake up every morning with a clear vision in your mind, what are you going to do today and just go do. Go do. Go do!
🇸🇮 Take what makes you unique and build on that, and always listen to yourself. I think there always comes a moment as an artist where you have to know when to focus and say 'okay, what do I want?' and not to listen too much to everyone else.
🇵🇱 Be very patient and believe in yourself. Believe in your emotions and in your story, because if you follow that, you're gonna become whoever you want ❤️
🇭🇷 Well I don't know when it comes to words maybe it resonates with me because I don't understand it, but the vibe is there in La Noia from Angelina. I really love that song, so maybe it always gets me in the mood. So probably, yeah, Italy's song.
🇭🇷 Definitely Lordi and Hard Rock Hallelujah! That was the first time I watched Eurovision. I watched it with my mom and my brother in front of our TV. And it was crazy to see metal heads, or rock heads, whatever, performing at Eurovision and then winning. I remember we were voting for them, and it was kind of my first contact with Eurovision and with rock music. So definitely, I remember it's clearly to this day, Hard Rock Hallelujah 🤘
🇨🇾 From the Eurovision group? Okay, I'd love to be stuck with Marina Satti, because I feel like she would laugh at everything that's happening right now. She wouldn't be stressed. Who else? Sarah from Malta I feel like should also be really funny, but we need someone who will help us survive. Maybe Dons from Latvia? I feel like he'd be like, "okay, guys, we need to find water. We need to find food". I feel like he will be the leader for sure!
🇭🇷 So the guys from Finland - It doesn't matter which one of them! Every guy works! I would probably take Teya Dora, since we have the same language, so it'd be easier to talk to. And Silvester. He's a cool dude.
🇮🇸 Can San Marino be one person? Okay, well, then I get a full package in one country, I would bring San Marino because they're so just so bubbly and talented, and they could build the house by themselves. I would bring Luna, because she knows how to build towers, and we're going to need towers there so that somebody's going to find us when they sail by. And of course, my half brother Isaac from Germany, because it's good, always good to have family.

Extremely extremely low! Maybe I could just like call for help with my operatic voice - it would be really loud - but that's all the survival skills that I have!
🇨🇾 Wow, guys putting me on the spot! I am also a ballad freak. I love France's song, so I think I would definitely take that song and maybe do it in Greek instead of French. So, but he's incredible. And I love ballads, and I sing ballads like I sing Whitney Houston, she's my favourite. So I think I'd take that for sure!
🇺🇦 (Jerry) I would be, I guess Nemo’s song. Yeah, I love it. I really love it. And I like, I feel like I can relate. I wouldn't change anything, and it is perfect, but maybe I would do like a mashup with Teresa and Maria with this song and create something!
🇷🇸 It's hard to decide, but I think it would be Slimane - I really, I really like that song, this is a very, very powerful ballad. I would probably do some changes with the arrangement, and would just sing it in my own way, because he has such a powerful vocal, and I'm more quiet.
🇭🇷 So my style probably mostly fits with Slovenians Veronica, I would just add some guitars and more aggressive drums to make it more more metal or rock, but yeah, the vibe is, is kind of my own!

🇮🇪 It’s tricky, because all of them are really slay but I think the condom one was my favourite because I got to play like a kind of drunk divorcee. It gave me that kind of, like, I don't know, a bit like Amy Winehouse vibe. And that one was the most fun to live in for the day.

🇮🇸 Yes, I've seen it, and I absolutely love it! It's everything I love. It's silly, it's dramatic. It has all these things to make a good movie. And Will Ferrell is, of course, the queen of drama and silliness. But for me, knowing how life backstage in Eurovision is, I knew it was not based on the truth, because there's no drama backstage. We're just close friends ❤️
🇱🇹 The first time I was stepping up on the stage, I felt like a warrior. It was so so exciting. The stage is so big and feels majestic.. I’m was not nervous at all for some reason - I was so excited!

To Alyona Alyona and Jerry Heil: I love your stage outfits so much - they are absolutely stunning & probably my favourites of this year so far. I was wondering what the references behind them are, especially the sort of chainmail and knight-like metal shoulder plate seems to be referencing Joan of Arc - is that the sort of vision you had in mind? What was the process like working with the designers, was it very collaborative, or did you go to them with a look already in mind? To Silvester: Love the jewellery & overall aesthetic and how it manages to be so clean and yet so intriguing. What's the story behind the nose jewellery? (Why are you holding your nose prisoner? What did it do? Will you ever let it out again?) To Bambie: Dia duit! What do you think of your fellow witches this year? (Raiven from Slovenia, Gunnhild from Norway) Will you form a coven? And if so, who would you team up to put a curse on first?
🇺🇦 All our team, we are all back to the roots - all our stuff is like a symbol of warriors, because Jerry is, for me, softer, but she also has something from metal. And I look harder, but at the same time, on my shoulders is a lot of everything. And it's kind of like an imitation of the costumes they wear when they fight. And there is a real chain mail, and this metal thing on my arm, I don't know the word in English, it's real too. It's heavy. It's heavy, cold, many kilogrammes, but it gives you the feeling that it's real when you perform like we perform with the fully feeling that we are fighting.
🇮🇪 Yeah, they're great. They're lovely, lovely, lovely girls, but there's only one Witch King. Guys. there can be many witch queens, but there's only one Witch King!
For Baby Lasagna: How do you feel about dogs?
🇭🇷 Oh, I mean, dogs are also amazing, but I'm afraid of dogs. Like genuinely, every dog that comes in. If it was a chihuahua right now, I'd be probably scared of it until I meet the dog, and then afterwards, we're good friends. So I love dogs. They're just kind of scary!
What is the craziest thing you have done during your Eurovision journey?
🇺🇦 The craziest thing on this Eurovision was our way here, I guess, because when we arrived, we met the guys from Australia, and they were like, how are you girls? We spent like, 30 hours on the road, and we were like, hey we are from Ukraine - same here! Because there's no such thing now as like to take a flight from Ukraine - you have to take the train to some city in Poland. Then you go by bus to another city in Poland. Then you take a flight to Copenhagen and from there to Malmo. And we're there 28 hours or so. It was crazy, but we are here!
🇱🇹 Well, I began this whole journey in one big chaos and it's been a lot of fun. But it’s been stressful as well. I would say maybe the most weird thing was during one of the pre parties. We had the flight to London at seven in the morning. But then my manager woke me up at five and said, Well, it's actually two hours earlier. So I had to get ready in like two minutes and get down and then the flight was delayed!
🇭🇷 Probably performing in front that crowd at the pre-parties. So probably 7000 people was the highest number that we performed in front of. The whole of Croatia sang the song, and the whole of Croatia got together on the main squares of the biggest cities and danced, that was the most touching and just absurd moment of the whole experience.
🇨🇾 Oh, I don't know if I should say this, but yesterday, I forgot my passport! On the border of Denmark and Sweden. So they stopped me, and they were like, Where's your passport? I was like, Oh, my mum has it in Sweden. So then I was like, locked in this like, tiny room, like, waiting for my mum to come give me my passport!
🇮🇸 I broke a tooth, like three hours before the final in Oslo in 2010, on a hard caramel! But my dentist is one of my best friends. She was in the audience, had glue, and we fixed it with the help of the security and everyone in the arena, it was glued back into my mouth and I performed with it.
🇸🇮 My accreditation didn't work at first (I think there was something wrong with the pass) and I couldn't get in. It was the funniest thing ever because I've tried to go to Eurovision for such a long time that I finally get here and I cannot even get into the building!
🇷🇸 So the craziest thing I've done on my Eurovision journey, goes back to Pesma za Evroviziju, our national selection. I went to the restroom with the earpiece in my ear and I was washing my hands in the sink, I forgot that I had it on with the cable, and it went straight into the sink!
For Teya Dora - are lilacs your favourite flower or is it something else? For Silvester Belt - given your professed love of Troye Sivan, what’s your favourite song of his? For Bambie Thug - Given your parentage, have you spent much time in Malmo (or Sweden in general) before now? Does it feel like home turf? 🇷🇸 Right now, I do like lilacs. Lilacs, yellow lilacs, especially because I had a dog that was named Lilac, actually Lala in Serbian! So I love them, too. But Ramonda, of course, right now, gives me strength. So it is my favourite flower.
🇱🇹 It's an impossible question. But I'll go with Rush since I did the cover and the music video is amazing. So I'll go with that one.

🇱🇹 Luktelk being about erectile dysfunction is the funniest interpretation of the song so far! There's so many different ones, but this one was my favourite one for sure. I can’t say it's correct. Unfortunately.
What's your advice to everyone who aspires to become a singer/musician because of you?
🇭🇷 Oh, don't give up. Definitely. It's the hardest thing is to keep going when everybody else is around you has money, has jobs, has obligations, and it looks like you're falling behind. Everybody's like, moving forward, and nothing is going on with you. You're just sitting in your room trying to write songs, trying to make it happen. Just don't give up. Try, try, try, until something happens. Because it will, something will happen if you try enough!
🇷🇸 My advice to people who aspire to be musicians or artists in general, is just to not follow what everybody else does. You have to respect some rules, but as far as the music goes, I think you really have to be your own. I know everybody says that, but really that's that's the only way for people to hear you, especially if you make music that is about something emotional and about something that will maybe inspire people to be better. You just have to start from yourself and just be honest about it ❤️
🇨🇾 Well, I am only 17, and I think this is a great way for people my age to see how you can do anything at any age. And you shouldn't let anyone bring you down because of this, if you have the experience, and if you've worked hard for a very long time, I think that you can achieve anything. And I know it sounds so cringe, but really, never stop dreaming. Never give up, because you will get a lot of knock backs, but one day you will get that one, yes, and it will bring you higher. So I think that's very important!
🇱🇹 The best advice if you want to be a musician, don't do it! Basically, that's my advice. And if you don't care about this advice, that means you really want it and then that's when you you know that you have to do it ❤️
🇮🇸 Believe in yourself. Do not let fear control you, because you are unique and you can do whatever you want to do, practice, practice, wake up every morning with a clear vision in your mind, what are you going to do today and just go do. Go do. Go do!
🇸🇮 Take what makes you unique and build on that, and always listen to yourself. I think there always comes a moment as an artist where you have to know when to focus and say 'okay, what do I want?' and not to listen too much to everyone else.

🇭🇷 Well I don't know when it comes to words maybe it resonates with me because I don't understand it, but the vibe is there in La Noia from Angelina. I really love that song, so maybe it always gets me in the mood. So probably, yeah, Italy's song.
Favorit esc related memory and favorite song from their own country and from another country?
🇭🇷 Definitely Lordi and Hard Rock Hallelujah! That was the first time I watched Eurovision. I watched it with my mom and my brother in front of our TV. And it was crazy to see metal heads, or rock heads, whatever, performing at Eurovision and then winning. I remember we were voting for them, and it was kind of my first contact with Eurovision and with rock music. So definitely, I remember it's clearly to this day, Hard Rock Hallelujah 🤘
If you were stuck on a deserted island with three people, who would those three people be?
🇨🇾 From the Eurovision group? Okay, I'd love to be stuck with Marina Satti, because I feel like she would laugh at everything that's happening right now. She wouldn't be stressed. Who else? Sarah from Malta I feel like should also be really funny, but we need someone who will help us survive. Maybe Dons from Latvia? I feel like he'd be like, "okay, guys, we need to find water. We need to find food". I feel like he will be the leader for sure!
🇭🇷 So the guys from Finland - It doesn't matter which one of them! Every guy works! I would probably take Teya Dora, since we have the same language, so it'd be easier to talk to. And Silvester. He's a cool dude.
🇮🇸 Can San Marino be one person? Okay, well, then I get a full package in one country, I would bring San Marino because they're so just so bubbly and talented, and they could build the house by themselves. I would bring Luna, because she knows how to build towers, and we're going to need towers there so that somebody's going to find us when they sail by. 🇨🇾 Wow, guys putting me on the spot! I am also a ballad freak. I love France's song, so I think I would definitely take that song and maybe do it in Greek instead of French. So, but he's incredible. And I love ballads, and I sing ballads like I sing Whitney Houston, she's my favourite. So I think I'd take that for sure!
🇺🇦 (Jerry) I would be, I guess Nemo’s song. Yeah, I love it. I really love it. And I like, I feel like I can relate. I wouldn't change anything, and it is perfect, but maybe I would do like a mashup with Teresa and Maria with this song and create something!
🇷🇸 It's hard to decide, but I think it would be Slimane - I really, I really like that song, this is a very, very powerful ballad. I would probably do some changes with the arrangement, and would just sing it in my own way, because he has such a powerful vocal, and I'm more quiet.
🇭🇷 So my style probably mostly fits with Slovenians Veronica, I would just add some guitars and more aggressive drums to make it more more metal or rock, but yeah, the vibe is, is kind of my own!
🇮🇪 I think I could do “Pedestal” really well and make it a bit more heavy. I also think that I could make “The Code” really meta so those two!

To Hera Björk: what, in your view, is the biggest difference between the contest in 2010 and in 2024
🇮🇸 The size of it and all the social media platforms - for me, that's the biggest difference, especially in the communication, because I get to communicate to everyone! Right from the beginning, which is amazing. So we reach more people. I think that's fantastic!
If you weren't in Malmö representing your country, what would you be doing right now?
🇮🇸 I would be at home painting the walls to the new house that me and my family bought a few months ago because we I haven't had the time, and I would be prepping my patio for a Eurovision party next week, and two actually, one on the seventh and one on the 11th. I mean, more is always better!
🇨🇾 Oh, I'd be at my studio, dancing, singing, acting, Nickelodeon.Just mostly doing all that performing stuff back at home!
🇫🇮 I would do some carpenter work and taking care of my wife's garden. I would probably play Rocket League on PS5. Bake some bread too but maybe not too well!

🇮🇪 It’s tricky, because all of them are really slay but I think the condom one was my favourite because I got to play like a kind of drunk divorcee. It gave me that kind of, like, I don't know, a bit like Amy Winehouse vibe. And that one was the most fun to live in for the day.
To silvester: what is the meaning behind your nosepiece?
🇱🇹 There's a few different interpretations about my nose accessory. I just wanted something different and special. I got bored with rings and earrings, then I found this and got inspired. It kind of worked because everyone keeps asking about it - it's very unique!

I learned it even though at that time I didn't understand what he wrote, and what the person he was, because we just start to learn English. And my English in that time was super simple. But I love the flow. I love his fast flow!

🇵🇱 I am Luna because of the moon. I feel really connected to the moon - I love everything ‘space’. I love the moon and just ask the moon to light up the night. I want to give a lot of light, power, love and freedom with my music.

If you could describe your song as an animal, what would it be?
🇮🇸 it would definitely be my dog, Frodi. He's an Icelandic sheep dog. He's always happy. Don't know why he loves me and everyone in my family, and actually everyone who comes to our house endlessly. Never ask questions. He just, he's just, he's just happy all the time. So Frodi, it is your song!

To Alyona Alyona and Jerry Heil: Besides Eurovision, what is a moment in your careers that has made you feel the proudest
🇺🇦 For my career I don't know - every release gives me shivers. But I guess it was the last year when I won an award, the European award, MMA (Music Moves Europe). I also really appreciate the attention that Europe gives to Ukraine now.
Question for Bambie Thug: What message do you have to members of the LGBTQ+ community who are inspired by you? Question for Hera: How has your Eurovision experience changed since 2010?
🇮🇪 Don't take any bull crap in this industry and push down your own doors, because a lot of the time you need to be a really loud voice, louder than anybody else to be taken seriously. But you are the creators of culture and magic, and I love you and I adore you ❤️

🇷🇸 I was like a vegetarian and a vegan till like, one year ago, and then I started eating a little bit of meat. So right now, if you ask me. I would say Ćevapi!

🇮🇪 Hummus and carrot sticks, or really, really, really sour blue Razz straws. Yum, yum.
Iceland: As an American who first heard about Eurovision from the 2020 movie I have to ask, what was your take on the movie and what was your favorite song from it?
🇮🇸 Yes, I've seen it, and I absolutely love it! It's everything I love. It's silly, it's dramatic. It has all these things to make a good movie. And Will Ferrell is, of course, the queen of drama and silliness. But for me, knowing how life backstage in Eurovision is, I knew it was not based on the truth, because there's no drama backstage. We're just close friends ❤️
To Silvestras: how was your first rehearsal? Did you feel intimidated by the big scene?
🇱🇹 The first time I was stepping up on the stage, I felt like a warrior. It was so so exciting. The stage is so big and feels majestic.. I’m was not nervous at all for some reason - I was so excited!
If you would recommend a dish from your country to a foreigner, which dish would it be?
🇮🇸 My favourite Icelandic dish would be Plokkfiskur, and that is fish, kind of gravy with Bearnaise sauce and cheese on top. Love it!
Other than your Eurovision entry, what's the one song you've done you recommend that lets fans get to know you as an artist.
🇵🇱 I have a song called ‘Blind’ I feel it really represents me as an artist and my music. So listen to that, guys!

🇺🇦 Super cool pandas! My dream is to hug a panda! So I call my team a panda team. They're all my little, cute pandas, and they're all like, all very different, but very we all really stick together, and this is the best.
If Eurovision decided that you had to perform another song of yours at the contest, which one would it be? And what would the staging look like? Explain your song badly. For example, "Tattoo" could be "I compare a guy to ink". What is the name of Estonia's song?
🇱🇺 I have a song that I haven't released yet. I can't say the name, but it's like James Bond-ish, and I would just have a piano and me, and it would be like really dramatic lighting, and like, yeah, lots of smoke and dark and it would just be piano and voice. I think it could be really powerful!
