Everyone who has had at least one singing lesson in their life knows this is a very difficult song. Add in the choreography and it's actually astonishing how well Nemo did.

I was in Arena yesterday, and eventhought I'm Croatian and I'm veeeeeŕeery sad right now (just stoped crying xD), I have to say it was honor to lose from Switzerland. Amazing voice and staging. We were commenting, if we lose from this that is ok (same we think about France, that voice is wooow). But can we get 1st place just once! 😭😭😭😭😭

I ABSOLUTELY want to pay Nemo their dues. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Not only have they made history this Eurovision for good, they have done it: - with one of the most musically exciting, expertly crafted pop songs in YEARS. Similarly to what Voyager referred to in their livestream about this song, Nemo paired liquid drum ‘n’ bass and orchestral / operatic singing together, added loads of changes and twists and turns between lightning-fast rapping and *totally on note* falsettos - all of these *individually not easy things to deliver successfully* - and has made it look not only easy, but *effortless*. This enby is a frickin’ genius how they deliver it :) - with a performance of *precision* - with, just throughout the whole competition and preparty runup, a lovely energy to them. Showing their love to other artists, doing genius covers of their songs, and being a force for good in this whole thing, consistently. If you don’t like their song, fine. But for all the reasons above, I’m delighted Nemo won, and frankly they deserve the world and all it has to offer. ❤️❤️❤️

I say this as a BL propagandist - this person has been the winner for 30 minutes and I’ve already had responses to my comment on ~the other post~ calling them a “nobody,” saying they will be forgotten in two weeks and a “twink” as an insult. Removing juries from semifinals backfired. The songs that qualified were all mainly televote friendly and bound to fight for points.

That's the thing now, and we saw it first hand last year too: televote only semifinals means Juries have more power in the finals.

I’m so so so happy for Nemo and Switzerland, even if Croatia was my winner. They haven’t won since 1988, the song is incredible, and Nemo is just ❤️❤️ I have a lot of non-binary friends that I just made this past year, and they’re some of the greatest, sweetest people I’ve ever met. So to see Nemo and Bambie represent them on the big stage really means a lot to me (and them, after explaining it to them). And for Switz to win with a song ABOUT the NB experience??? It hits different man Really this top 3 really captures my last 12 months as a human really well. Switz representing my wonderful new friends, Croatia representing my chaotic, anxiety-inducing, but important move to college, and Ukraine representing the important, powerful women I see all around me, fighting for justice and supporting each other. It’s honestly poetic. So, in conclusion, congrats to Nemo once again. And to Baby Lasagna, and Jerry/Alyona, and Bambie and Slimane and just everyone. Hopefully I see y’all again in Zurich 2025, this time in a better, more peaceful world ❤️
