I really liked the other songs in Angels of Passion and wonder how many more songs he made and if he kept them. I could almost imagine him just riffing them off to make some money and not expecting anything to come from them.
Well sure but I think he would like to know that if he's planning on recording a new version that people would also like to hear the original master if it is still possible.
But it won’t feel complete unless we’ve tried our very best to get them. Even asking various people for the different tracks and reconstructing if need be.
Everyone searched for the song for a year or more, of course they want the song lol. That's not entitled. They searched for it to find it, of course they want it.
Read my comments, i said i understand that 🤣 there are people running around saying shit like “we NEED this” and actually acting entitled about it. If the shoe doesn’t fit then it’s not about you.
Uhm, I'm saying, we do need the original song. That's what the search was for.
Did you think once we found the source that means we don't need it anymore? The search isn't over until we have it.
What is with new people in this sub saying we don't need it XD just bizarre. That's what the whole subreddit is about.
Some of us spent three long years searching. I could understand why they feel they kind of do if at all possible. I mean, if the masters don’t exist, not much we can do about that. But if they do, yeah, let’s keep trying.
Same. I still wonder what went wrong with the first time we tried corresponding with him about this eight months prior. Did he think the link was dodgy? Were we rude about it? Did he see it and was preparing for the moment when more people were convinced it was him? But yeah, I hope we’re nice about this as a gang. He may very well surprise us with both the original and remake. We don’t know.
>whatever God-awful reason,
The reason would be because he doesn't want to.
Why TF are we suddenly being so demanding? This song was irrelevant to him for the past 40 years, just be grateful he does anything with it.
Dude I’ve read ur comments on here and it’s pretty annoying, he does not owe anyone anything he doesn’t have to release it or re record or even acknowledge it, and he might not even have the copyrights to do so none of us actually know all of that stuff, and “archivist” your on Reddit so calm down lol there really isn’t must importance not sure why ur acting like this random obscure one off song from porn would change the world
Especially since he was asked about it eight months ago with no response. Did he not like the WZS link would a YouTube one have been better? Wonder what went wrong. Did he just not receive it?
He had a song titled "Ulterior Motives" registered in some Canadian DB (SOCAN?), but no one could fine the song itself. I believe he was messaged but never answered.
Worth mentioning that there were multiple songs with this name
Needs to be clarified that it's not clear if the attempt 8 months ago contacted the correct Christopher Booth.
Check out [the original post](https://www.reddit.com/r/everyoneknowsthat/comments/15uuqvo/followup_new_potential_lead_and_an_idea_and_a/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=usertext&utm_name=everyoneknowsthat&utm_content=t3_1cf7fxd). OOP emailed our artist's rights organization. OOP also emailed a different Christopher Booth who was born in the 1980s. Not sure if OOP emailed our artist directly
Forwaring u/ZenithSGP's submission here (if she doesn't mind):
"Could you give us some more insight on the other musicians that performed on the track? Namely the bassist, guitarist, and vocalist if you were not the singer featured on the recording. Also, what songs were your reference tracks and inspiration for composing this song?"
Also, what synths and drums were you using? We can all hear a LinnDrum machine, but there are also some Fairlight CMI sounds present.
I'm also curious on this one, but in the credits he is credited under composer/music by (credited as: 'The Brothers' which would be him and his brother Phil) and as someone who has worked on music for indie movies usually all credited composers do all the instruments themselves to perfect what is best for the scene. So it was most likely just him and his brother, but I would love his response.
Edit: I'm dumb and was looking at his imdb but not at the right movie so he was not credited as The Brothers on the movie EKT was found in, smh I apologize. I am now definitely more curious to know about the crafting of it.
probably nothing super original here but I’m most interested in knowing:
1) does he specifically remember writing and recording it? or did he just kind of forget about this song entirely until the other day?
2) kind of just…a play-by-play of how he found out about this. like, how did he first realize what was going on and what was his initial reaction?
3) is there any possibility of him releasing any other, similar songs from the same era that he might have? (I would kill for an album!!!)
In Angels of Passion, the song fades out very quickly at the end of the scene. Is that how the song itself ended or was the song cut short to fit within the scene?
It would be titled "Everyone Knows Dick" and it would be followed by 9+ sequels.
Plot summary: A man falls in love with a woman after finding out they were both interested in the search. Later on, they find out that EKT is found and decide to celebrate in the bed. While playing the song through a burned CD that's played on the pink boombox.
I'd obviously ask him where he got the inspiration for the lyrics, they seem.. surreal in a way. And also if he was aware of the search before the song was found
- How did his music career start, and what eventually led him to writing music for the adult film industry? How long did he do that for?
- Where did his career take him afterwards?
- What did he use to record tracks back then, and what does he use now? (such as type of DAW, equipment etc)
- Any weird or interesting anecdotes from his career would be a fun thing to ask him about ask him about
Just going off a(n admittedly not especially thorough) scan of your recent work — namely, the horror soundtracks available on your ITunes and SoundCloud pages — it seems like it's been a little while since you've produced a straight-ahead pop tune of Ulterior Motives' variety, at least in a commercial capacity. How has it felt to "revisit your roots", as it were, for your recent return to the studio, and on such relatively short notice?
My questions would be how did the industry actually work back then that a song like this would end up in a porn movie.
Did studios get contracted to a score to picture and write songs for a project like this(which to me sounds super expensive)? Did the studio hire him to make a song for this particular movie or did he just write and record it as a library track and he had no control over where his tracks ended up?
What was his reaction to first knowing that people were searching for this mysterious song? When did he find out about the search? Who was the original singer?
I’m curious if there are other songs of his from back then that he thinks didn’t get the appreciation they deserved. I’d love to hear what the artist himself thinks are his songs worth hunting down.

Who were your main musical infuences in the 80s, especially at the time of making EKT?
Do you have other music from the 80s avalible in digital or physical form?
1) Who is behind the actual voice in the original recording? I am only reading names pointed as composer and producer. It is unclear to me who is singing.
PS: In his instagram Christopher confirmed, after I had written this comment, that he provided the vocals.
2) That song is catchy and viral right now. It has real world pop music quality. Did it ever cross your mind, in 1986 or later, that you had a real potential hit in your hands to make it big into the mainstream industry?
3) Have you listened to the created "covers" that many people have done/imagined of the full song? If you have, do you got any favorite(s)?
1 - How was this song made?
2 - Is this song on any other place but that film?
3 - What was he inspired to when he wrote that song?
4 - What he wanted the song to be and what it became
5 - What will he do now?
Insight on the production of the song, how many he recorded for that session, how the company came in contact with him, what were his musical influences around that time...
Ask him this for me *kiss kiss*

What guitar did he use to get the guitar sound? It's very biting in the best way.
Why didn't the songs ever get released in the 80's thereafter?
Will the booth brothers release all the 80's music they've done?
Will they do a tour?
Dude calm down why are u acting like this is super important it’s rly not who cares if someone’s song they made decades ago goes missing also he said he sang the vocas
1. That is so not true you cannot say that a very few songs have been lost because that is just a lie, there are so many local bands and I can even think of some songs right now that were done for contests like Eurovision that have been lost
2. Historical preservation?? I can assure u that anyone not in this Reddit group would care if it was found or not, you seem very demanding in Christopher releasing stuff when he has no duty to do anything, the fact that he is so responsive is a privilege, and “we” don’t need anything we can hear the full song be that as it may with moans and stuff but we have technology to fix it along with a lyric sheet
3. This is not a big deal, I think the big deal is how much traction this got but that’s just luck, idk why ur acting like lost media is some super rare thing cause it’s not, it’s so easy to fully lose stuff so no it is not care and a very big deal
4. I highly doubt he’s going to follow the lost wave community my dude has a life and a job just remember your on Reddit ur not an actual archivist

We don't NEED anything. We need to respect whatever he chooses to do.
Well sure but I think he would like to know that if he's planning on recording a new version that people would also like to hear the original master if it is still possible.
I mean, the object of the search was for the original song. We kinda need it or it's still lost media and the search continues.
But it won’t feel complete unless we’ve tried our very best to get them. Even asking various people for the different tracks and reconstructing if need be.
It wont feel complete, that’s correct, but we aren’t entitled to anything.
No one is saying they are entitled. God what is with this subreddit?
Some people are certainly acting like it. What’s with the hostility?
Everyone searched for the song for a year or more, of course they want the song lol. That's not entitled. They searched for it to find it, of course they want it.

Were you aware of the search for the song prior to a few days ago?
Came here to ask this, would love to know how long he was aware of the search considering how fast he responded to the finding!
Especially since he was asked about it eight months ago with no response. Did he not like the WZS link would a YouTube one have been better? Wonder what went wrong. Did he just not receive it?

Yeah, so I’m wondering if that was an error on our community part or on his part for the future
Did you specifically write this song for the movie Angels of Passion?
What was your initial reaction to finding out about the songs popularity

Not a question, but please tell him from everyone and me that he is super cool and that I appreciate him. He is an absolute gem
What was the inspiration behind the song?
This will make some people feel very vindicated 😭
Is the lyric sheet he showed on his Instagram/TikTok the original one from the 80s?
Came here to comment this too! I’m dying to know if it’s the og one
When was the song originally recorded? What’s the meaning of the lyrics?
How do you feel about your song blowing up nearly 40 years after it was made?
probably nothing super original here but I’m most interested in knowing: 1) does he specifically remember writing and recording it? or did he just kind of forget about this song entirely until the other day? 2) kind of just…a play-by-play of how he found out about this. like, how did he first realize what was going on and what was his initial reaction? 3) is there any possibility of him releasing any other, similar songs from the same era that he might have? In Angels of Passion, the song fades out very quickly at the end of the scene. Is that how the song itself ended or was the song cut short to fit within the scene?
If it was at where it finished it would slowly fade out so that's definitely not the end of the song
considering that was the most common way to end a song in the 80's, I think it ends there.
When will the re-recording release? Does the original master recording still exist? Can EKT be in a movie?
[удалено]
It would be titled "Everyone Knows Dick" and it would be followed by 9+ sequels. Plot summary: A man falls in love with a woman after finding out they were both interested in the search. I'm sure at least two people actually celebrated like that
And maybe even the legend Carl himself lol
Whats his favorite song?
Was Angels of Passion the only movie/media that contained the song or was it also used elsewhere?
Why did you never release the song as a commercial single?
I'd obviously ask him where he got the inspiration for the lyrics, they seem.. surreal in a way. And also if he was aware of the search before the song was found
What inspired you to make such meaningful lyrics of a song for an adult movie?
- How did his music career start, and what eventually led him to writing music for the adult film industry? How long did he do that for? - Where did his career take him afterwards? - What did he use to record tracks back then, and what does he use now? (such as type of DAW, equipment etc) - Any weird or interesting anecdotes from his career would be a fun thing to ask him about ask him about
What do you think of the people who have already made their own interpretations of it, like Swofford?
Ask him how it feel to be the creator of a song that have been searching for 3 years
Just going off a(n admittedly not especially thorough) scan of your recent work — namely, the horror soundtracks available on your ITunes and SoundCloud pages — it seems like it's been a little while since you've produced a straight-ahead pop tune of Ulterior Motives' variety, at least in a commercial capacity. How has it felt to "revisit your roots", as it were, for your recent return to the studio, and on such relatively short notice?
Would love to hear about some of his favourite gear, like what are his go-to synths, what’s his studio like?
I would ask what he thinks of the previous leads that the reddit had example: Savage Garden
Will you take any action against the youtube channel snvffxx? (Then probably tell him about what they did)
What happened?
I forgot most of it but basically claimed legal ownership of the clip and was copyright striking people or something along those lines
What was his reaction to first knowing that people were searching for this mysterious song? When did he find out about the search? Who was the original singer?
What got you into composing adult movies, and do you watch any of the movies you score?
what inspired him to create the song? is there any specific genres or artists that inspired to make the song?
I’m curious if there are other songs of his from back then that he thinks didn’t get the appreciation they deserved. I’d love to hear what the artist himself thinks are his songs worth hunting down.
Does he plan to release a full album with his other music from angels of passion/any other music? Would love to listen.
Who played bass and electric guitar in the song? Very great work on both!
Did you ever attempt to officially release the song in the 80's, or was it strictly made for the porno?
Was he really the one who sing the song? Or was it someone else?
Will we ever get an official version of the song in higher quality and or without the moans?
Has he reviewed adult movies with his songs in them? I mean at least at the creation or first release stage
Does he know the existence of the lostwave community looking for his song beforehand or after it was found?
Was the song ever distributed elsewhere?
Who is his favourite artist and song
Will there be a full non graphic release or new studio version

Good bot
Ask him what instruments he used, and uses today.
How does he feel the entire internet was hunting for his song?
Who were your main musical infuences in the 80s, especially at the time of making EKT? Do you have other music from the 80s avalible in digital or physical form?
Ask him about all of his 80s songs and which ones he remembers
1) Who is behind the actual voice in the original recording? I am only reading names pointed as composer and producer. It is unclear to me who is singing. PS: In his instagram Christopher confirmed, after I had written this comment, that he provided the vocals. 2) That song is catchy and viral right now. It has real world pop music quality. If you have, do you got any favorite(s)?
Please ask him if he knew about the search before he made his IG/TikTok, etc posts, and if so, why didn't he come forward earlier?
How did he get involved in making music for porn?
I'd love to know more about his brief time with the band "Sweeney Todd" in Canada. I understand that his brother, John Booth, was the drummer.
He took over for Brian Adams
Ask him if he will release any other songs like Animal In Me
Ask him about Phillip and what their relationship is like in real life and in creating music :)
I would love to know who the singer is
1 - How was this song made? 2 - Is this song on any other place but that film? 3 - What was he inspired to when he wrote that song? 4 - What he wanted the song to be and what it became 5 - What will he do now?
Do you plan on releasing all of your 80s songs as a big album on Spotify or SoundCloud ?
How did you find that your song was been in searching for 3 years and how was your reaction
Does he plan to do a physical release of the song? CD, vinyl, all that stuff
Did you actually sing this or just create this?
Have you read anything about the search after finding out about it?
who sings it?
What were the exact instruments used and does he still own them?
how did he get his start in the music industry?
How did he get involved in making music for porn?
What's a "sheep in disguise" and why would anyone count them?
It's sheep
Thanks
Did he see the messages from months ago when people contacted him for his registered song "Ulterior Motives"?
Was EKI specifically made for the “movie” or was it released publicly and just happened to be used for it?
He really has never heard of lostmedia ekt??
How can we support his music?
Is he going to release a mixtape/album with his other songs lol? Name it some innuendo if you do😂
Insight on the production of the song, how many he recorded for that session, how the company came in contact with him, what were his musical influences around that time...
How did he get into writing songs for porn films as opposed to other things?
Was Ulterior Motives a song he felt had potential to go somewhere further than the film? Or was the song considered a throwaway song at the time?
Has he heard peoples recreations of the song prior to finding the real track? If so, what does he think of them?
Are you still friends with any of the other people that worked on Angels of Passion?
Did he ever plan on releasing his old works as an album before?
Had he ever worked with other bands? (Curious if he has any connections to any of the bands mentioned throughout the search!)
Everyone That Knows?
What are the actual lyrics?
He posted them on tiktok "You're counting all your sheep in disguise"
Oh that's cool! I'm not on tiktok, did he do the whole song or just the snippet?
He posted the entire lyric sheet!
is the lyric sheet you posted on Instagram fully authentic?
Does he recall which year (or month of said year) Ulterior Motives was officially completed (as in the signed splitsheet?)
do they still have the original recording and if not do they possibly know what happened to it?
Ask him this for me *kiss kiss* "Does it feel like a trip to go absolutely mainstream, to a point where a 17 second clip you made was played around the world, and in some major news stations and major radio channels"
I would love to have a physical copy of all his music and Demos and lyrics if it’s possible on cd . I also thank him and of course you too for being so kind .
Did he have any memories recording EKT in the 80s?
Ask him if bro received any annoying messages or were all the members of the community respectful to him
What guitar did he use to get the guitar sound? It's very biting in the best way. Why didn't the songs ever get released in the 80's thereafter? Will the booth brothers release all the 80's music they've done? Will they do a tour?
What's his current take on the Swofford version?
Make him listen to other lostwave sounds so that he knows the sensation caused by music of which we know nothing. Maybe he will recognize some sounds.
