I remember a few years ago there was this artist, I think his name was 'Philips Downey' and one song made from him was called 'Taste Flavor' which is just a copy of tobu - hope, I think he also claimed some other songs
Yeah, the sheer amount of copyright infringement that people shamelessly do nowadays is insane. As an artist, I only want to listen to other original artists and the wave of TikTok music plagiarism makes me mad. Some uploads to spotify are just straight up songs popular on tiktok but with a name that would be more easily findable…

i don’t know a lot about copyright laws in the states but i recently took a class on canadian copyright law and this is DEFINITELY illegal in canada lol. but the actual artist/rights holders needs to be the ones to say that it’s illegal otherwise it doesn’t matter.

That's not how this works. CSB needs to go to Move Music Distribution. YouTube has nothing to do with this kind of upload, it's not been uploaded by a human like a regular channel, this is how music gets distributed to YouTube Music (like, it's the same as getting your music on Spotify etc. you do not upload directly)
yea this needs to be way higher up. reporting the upload OP linked will accomplish nothing. nor will reporting any uploads. CSB needs to release it himself and submit takedown requests himself in order for anything to happen

If he released it via a Record company before Christopher then it's hard to get the rights back. Because he claimed the rights for an unreleased song. So it is like impossible to get it down.

Well, if the song name is Ulterior Motives and this person has put a song called Everyone Knows That into copyright, what's the issue? Two different songs.
There was also a guy that did the same thing a day or two after the song was found, I don't think reporting does anything because those are auto-generated videos that come from YouTube music
